I have recently purchased a car from Aston Vauxhall and I am very pleased with the car and the customer service that I received from Sonny. He was very honest about the vehicle and sold it to me in brilliant condition. Additionally, the process was very straight forward and easy when I traded my old vehicle in. From the initial enquiry to the work being carried out and the after service was all very good

I took my citroen ds3 to Astons to have the airbags replaced as per the recall issued by citroen.
When i took my car in it had a minor oil leak from the rocker cover. I was aware of this. My car had NO other faults. Its used daily by my husband who starts at 4:30am.
I left my car with them and collected it the following day.
When I picked up my car I was told the car had been given a "complimentary health check" - i did not ask for this, nor was i aware this would be done.
I was informed that the "technician " had discovered - both my headlights had blown.
BOTH. ...and I had a MAJOR oil leak.
Everything else was green which meant fine.
This included, according to the check list condition of coolant.
Anyway I took my car away , drove it home (less than 2 miles) and parked it up. It was not used over the weekend.
I got a phone call Monday from Astons asking if the car was alright. I said it was as I had not used it, so assumed it was fine.
About an hour after the phone call my husband rang - to say he had broken down.
He had taken my car , as usual to work.
He was at the side of the road, and the car had overheated. On checking, the pressure cap off the radiator header tank was missing. There was water & coolant sprayed over the engine bay.
I dashed out after ringing round to try and buy a new pressure cap. I got one from Grantham, and took it, along with more coolant to my husband.
We nursed the car home and checked the head gasket - luckily that seemed fine. The car was topped up and checked the following day. It was now losing coolant.
My husband contacted Astons who said they would contact us the next day.
Astons technicians were the last people under the bonnet of my car...they sent a curt email saying nothing they did would have caused the fault. The matter was, in their eyes, closed.
I took my car to Burch Mas and Mark looked at it and immediately said the water pump and crossover pipe had blown due to overheating. This was caused by the pressure cap not being secured properly, and popping off losing all the coolant and water. £425 later my car was fixed.
Astons claim they only provide a " visual check" on the coolant - but according to their paperwork AND their own website
"THE CONDITION OF THE COOLANT" is checked. This would require the removal of the pressure cap- if only to look at the coolant to check for particles etc.
To say I am livid is the understatement of the century.
For Astons to blatantly LIE about their checks and then deny any wrong doing is insulting. Its cost me over £400 because of their mistake, their incompetence and they simply brush it off by saying "the matter is now closed".
Its FAR from closed. I will be taking this to trading standards and the motoring trade ombudsman.
Frankly disgusting behaviour from ASTONS.
Do not trust them with your car.

My vehicle was dealt with under the air bag recall.
The customer service was excellent from my initial call to the collection of my vehicle.

Had my 2 year old Vauxhall Corsa GS-1.2 litre recently Serviced at Astons Vauxhall. Very pleased with the Service, they even washed the car and vacuumed it inside for me. Would highly recommend Astons.

Great experience from the booking process through to collection,. Had collection and delivery booked but due to a change in our circumstances had to alter this at short notice and the reception team were fab.

Great experience with the customer service staff. All were thoroughly helpful and informative throughout the whole process for a recall on my car. The guy who picked my car up from my house and also the service team were amazing too. It was a quicker than expected fix and they even did a car safety check before I picked it up which was an added bonus. Thank you 🙂

Following the Citroen Takata airbag recall, Aston Vauxhall kept me updated when it would be possible to replace the airbag. The replacement itself was very quick and they reassured me that all the necessary paperwork would be completed and Citroen would be notified - couldn’t recommend them enough!

The staff at Astons when I bought my car in for airbag change were absolutely brilliant even icluding a lift to and fro from the town centre I cannot find any fault whatsoever with our visit to Astons I would truly recommend them
