I couldn't find a replacement mudguard for my 1979 yamaha so I decided on rechroming my original slightly damaged one. Ashford chroming took on the job at an agreed price. The result was perfection. Better than I could ever have imagined with the "dings" knocked out. Lookiing like brand new. Returned to me in extremely careful packaging on a next day delivery courier to Inverness!

I needed to have the chrome grille case of my 1953 MG TD repaired and rechromed. Initially I spoke with a local firm here in Norfolk but wasn't impressed and contacted Ashford Chroming with details of the job. Paul was back to me in a matter of minutes with a quote, based upon photos, and a repair period. I arranged for it to be couriered to them along with a couple of other items. No extras were applied when they received it and I was assured of a good job. Just prior to the estimated completion date I was advised it was ready. I made payment and it was delivered the next day. The chrome plating is superb and exceeds my expectations. I am delighted. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them. After a 5 year apprenticeship in the mid 60's my entire career was connected with motor engineering as a qualified professional and I can honestly say Ashford Chroming are excellent in every respect at sensible prices.

Recommend to use to restore 35 year old MX5 roll bar with alot of corosion. Restoring my fathers race car so it needed to be a good job. They were really helpful with a quick competative quote, orangised collection so that was easy and the end result is outstanding, delighted with the result. Looks as good as new.

Been using various chrome platers over the last 20 years, heard about this one and was in the area so decided to give them a visit and ended up leaving them with 4 e type bumper blades (which were actually going to a different chrome platers that afternoon, a no nonsense honest chat with the owner left me feeling confident this was going to be worth the risk of a new contractor.

Pricing wasn’t any more than the others, but the chrome plating was exceptional, better still was the prep work to fill and straighten the blades was the best I had ever seen, completely arrow straight and flawless, not a pinhole to be seen anywhere.
A country mile in front of the competition and I’ve used alot.

After 40 years, the chrome bumpers of my car needed a bit of TLC. Ashford Chroming was recommended to me by an acquantance that restores old motorcycles, and I have to agree with him. They've done an absolutely wonderful restoration of the bumpers and they look like they came out of the factory yesterday. Service all around was great and a lovely, friendly team.

They inform you right away as soon as your items are received. They give an accurate quote foor refinishing. They stick to their time scale and above all else, the job done is fantastic. I sent down 4 newly machined brass Rolls Royce radiator caps to be done in nickel. thay have arrived back, perfectly packed. These are now items of beauty, faultless in finish and look so good, one could almost eat them. Well done and thanks.

I have a genuine Gibson banjolele that is about 100 years old and the bezel around the velum skin and the tailpiece were showing signs of age. It took nearly eight weeks for the work to be done and the returned items were superb. A costly well done to Ashford. Maybe £20 for the postage was a bit steep!
