Absolutely fantastic customer service. The A Main team bent over backwards to make sure I got the item I ordered in time, and they responded extremely quickly to any queries I sent their customer services team. This is the best customer experience I’ve had in any industry.

I called customer service regarding an order that had an issue with usps and had been sitting in a different city for 2 days when it was in my city the previous day. The answer I received from customer service was it was shipped first class and it was only a day late at this moment. His lack of concern and unprofessional attitude will make me go elsewhere for my rc purchases.

On 4/24/25 at 10:15, I was at RISE Indoor Sports when, in desperation, I contacted Nick at Horizon Hobby. This was not an isolated case—of the four Mike T foam airplanes I’ve owned, all have been defective. Most recently, the propeller on a supposedly new Sport Cub S fell off right at takeoff during its maiden flight. My wife and a group of kids witnessed the propeller literally falling off mid-air, which was both embarrassing and frustrating.
Based on this repeated experience, I strongly recommend caution when purchasing foam airplanes from Horizon Hobby due to consistent quality control issues. Thanks so much for your assistance, Nick; it is greatly appreciated.

On April 17, 2025, I spoke with Mike T from the Elite Loyalty Office at Horizon Hobby. My name is Joseph Todaro, I am 77 years of age, and a U.S. Army Veteran.
When I unboxed my new Sport Cub S UMX RC airplane (third one of four) from Horizon Hobby (Mike T), I immediately saw it was unusable-the wiring harness was jammed inside the cargo bay and appeared glued to the fuselage, making it impossible to fly. I've taken clear, professional photos of the problem, which I've posted in my Google Review.
This isn't the first time I've received a damaged or incomplete product from Mike T at Horizon Hobby. I was furious and extremely frustrated. When I called Mike T, his attitude felt dismissive, arrogant, and disrespectful. He gave me only generic, scripted responses. After 40 years at IBM as a Senior Software Engineer, I know this level of customer service would never have been tolerated in my field.
Mike's quick, canned answer-basically, "We don't build them, we just sell them" —tells me Horizon Hobby has no real quality control. At the very least, Horizon Hobby should randomly inspect every ten to fifteen foam products for quality before shipping.
This experience has made me reconsider shopping with Horizon Hobby, unless Mike T is not involved in my customer service. Otherwise, I’d gladly give my business to AMain Hobbies, as I have before, just to avoid dealing with Mike T. I didn't even mind paying a bit more for shipping, and the planes I bought from AMain Hobbies were high quality and problem-free. I love my AeroScout S 2 1.1m from AMain Hobbies.
I hope Horizon Hobby takes these concerns seriously, because customers deserve better.

utterly horrendous
These guys have the worst Customer service I've ever come across. Took 5 emails and finally me reaching out on chat to get a very unapologetic response to an order that is as of now 2 weeks late. Defo stay away from Amain Hobbies. Borderline scam territory.
Lack of customer service
I have purchased several items over the years with this company and it seems they have gone downhill! I purchased an item rather expensive, that is now 10 days late with no estimate of arrival! I spoke with customer service and basically got the brush off,I asked why they did not ship any other method than USPS to which they responded it is an upcharge and they want to maximize profit over client relationships. Wow I guess they are being honest with by admitting they have little regard for customer service, i guess that’s the way of it. Anyway I can’t recommend this company!

Hello everyone, be careful ordering electronics from Amain Hobby's. I ordered a servo from MKS and soon as I plugged it in, under no load just to center the servo it began making noise as if it was having a problem centering. I was told that I had to contact the MKS company direct even though I had not had the servo 7 days. The number I was giving didn't even ring and they made sure I was given a email address, because that is the only way that the company wants you to contact them. I called Amain back to let them know I was having a problem contacting the company and they shut their door in my face. so if this company doesn't t an sewer my email or decide not to refund me I will be out of my money because Amain said that they can not help me. I swear, I will never give another count this company and I have already given them thousands of dollars over the years. I can't believe that my hard earned money means so little to Amain. I will definitely start supporting the small local business and I suggest everyone do the same if they can not respect the customers.

Very bad customer service and operations, unreliable. Ordered to an address in US and was shipped to wrong address. Later placed an order to an address in Turkey and they failed to write the complete address to the package.

Well my delivery still hasn't shown up and I paid extra to be here. I think it's a bunch of bull that they don't don't give you atleast what you paid extra for faster delivery. Guess I'll just stick with ordering off Amazon atleast I get better updates about my package

Horrible customer service I ordered something that said it was in stock ready to ship and a paid express shipping and it never got shipped out. I called. I heard one story someone and I was supposed to call me back. They never did. And I sent a email didn’t receive an answer until a day later when the item was supposed to be delivered that day. They gave me an excuse that it just came in to inventory and it will be shipped out early next week and then I heard another story that they still haven’t received it and they’ll let me know when it comes in. I don’t understand how they can mark it on their website as in stock and ready to ship if they don’t have it. Will never buy from them again.

Fast delivery and excellent customer service. I purchased a RC RTR combo battery would not charge. I emailed them got an immediate response stating a new battery has been shipped. I have made 3 additional purchases from them in the last two weeks. Happy with my purchases and Amain and will continue to use them as my go to.

I heard my package I finally due tomorrow. I hope this happens. I should wait till it shows up. But will say. I really do like a main hobbies. I believe they are a company. Usps contacts me, again there is another processing Exception 3 times now. This package has gone so many back a forth places..its insane.. so I contacted them. Usps never admitted any fault ever that I know of.. nows it's the point of it.. I am trying to put this to sleep. If I get thatv1st order.. I am going to return it to a main hobbies. I am VIP member at Amainhobbies They're not a bad place to buy stuff online my problem is the way they do their checkout I just tried to spend $1500 there and because they don't apply your store credit till after you go to PayPal it changes the total it was only off by $5 I called customer service and I guess there is no way to change that I'll spend my $1500 elsewhere from now on I guess, I like to take advantage of the PayPal pay in 4 this is an expensive hobby 4 payments works for me better and trying to come up with it all at once
