Nous avons eu la chance de visiter différents sites dans la Vallée Sacrée + Machu Picchu. Mention spéciale à Juan Miranda qui a été ultra professionnel et sympathique. Il a été à la fois passionné et à l'écoute tout en racontant plein d'histoires très intéressantes. Juan connais la region comme le fond de sa poche. Il parle un excellent anglais. Bref, je recommande vivement ses services si vous voulez apporter une valeur ajoutée à votre séjour à Cusco et ses environs.

The overall experience was incredible!! Cesar and Walter were amazing guides who kept the energy and spirits high during the 5 days. Both were super informative along the trek pointing out any native wildlife, plants or archeological sites which I really enjoyed. Our porter Mateo was very hardworking and always had our bags ready for us when we arrived at our next accommodation. Our chefs Alejandro, Oscar and Justo were incredible! The food was to such a high standard and I really appreciated that all of the meals were adapted to vegetarian! I would highly recommend to anyone looking to book the Salkantay trek to book with Alpaca Expeditions!

Alpaca Expeditions is a very well organised and smooth operation. It can often feel stressful booking from thousands of miles away but their admin team supported us and once in Cusco they were open for questions from early to late. Worth noting that Alpaca are one of the few (if only) companies that support local Andean people across their teams of chefs, porters and guides.

From start to finish, they surpassed all expectations in terms of clarity, safety, fun and the trek itself is incredible. 4 days of stunning scenery that really felt like a once in a lifetime kind of view. The accommodations provided were so diverse and exciting and the guides Cesar and Walter were incredibly knowledgeable, professional but also personable. I felt completely safe at all times whilst trekking a very impressive and constantly changing landscape at high altitude.

The food was out of this world, with local Peruvian specialities. I couldn’t believe how tasty and well prepared every meal was. Thank you to Alejandro, Oscar and Justo.

Also special thanks to Matteo who demonstrated the real Peru by hiking our entire trek back by himself with the horses in about 8 hours, incredible.

From start to finish this experience was incredible. The whole team were so professional, friendly and welcoming. To go into more detail, the porter Mateo was so hardworking and punctual - he always had our bags ready for us when we arrived at our next destination. The chefs, Alejandro, Justo and Oscar always had such fresh, flavourful and varied food made for us for every meal which was greatly appreciated after a long day of walking. Our guides Cesar and Walter was also fantastic. Walter had such a great sense of humour which really helped when you were feeling tired, he also had such great knowledge of the history, flowers and animals of the area which really added to the whole experience. Cesar also had a fantastic sense of humour and had great knowledge and stories to share about the trek and his own experience living in Peru which was so personable. I would 100% recommend this experience to a friend, not only was the hike beautiful but I had so many laughs along the way which made the experience so memorable. I can't talk highly enough about the whole team.

I did the Salkantay trek in early June and I had a great time with the alpaca team aka Green machine. Everyone was professional, friendly and helpful. Our guides Cesar, Walter were very informational and kept is safe the whole time. The cooks, Alejandro, Justo, Oscar made delicious food every meal that really filled out bellies. They are also a company that support their community. Highly recommend and a beautiful trek to do.

5 day Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu - incredible. Demanding and tough, but worth it.
Our guide Carlos Arqque was great -helpful, calm and organised, and he kept us all safe and happy.
The food is amazing! The guides, chefs and porters work so hard to make the trek as easy as possible to enjoy.

Carlos Arqque is the best guide there is. Also, the trek is fantastic. I just recommand booking it in advance so there isn't any complications

We had a fantastic tour with Juan Miranda, he was very thoughtful, friendly and knowledgeable in Inca history! Made us feel very comfortable and was very patient, definitely recommend!

Juan Miranda, our guide, was incredible. So knowledgeable. He knew the little known places at all our sites without many tourists. We had him for 3 days around Cusco, south Valley and Sacred Valley. All were incredible. We learned more from him than at any other time in our tour. I highly recommend him as your guide!

The tour guide Felix is very organized and planned each day. Reynaldo is super helpful and work diligently with Felix and us. Felix watched time very closely and promptly. He took care the whole group regardless there are some members who are really slow pace. His porters team and chefs are incredible. We really appreciate their works so we can enjoy our trek. If you go to Machu Picchu trek, Alpaca Expeditions is excellent!!! Reynaldo did above and beyond, very gentle and always with a smile!!!

The first thing that made the experience exceptional was Felix and his personal skills. The trip wouldn’t have been the same without his organisation, knowledge and leadership ensuring every person of different fitness levels all were able to complete the 5 Day 4 night Machu Pichu Inca Trail Trek.

I have done many different group tours and I always worry that the food is not going to be good safe to say on this trip all of the food was delicious and well prepared. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were available with big portions and plenty of times to refill our hydration packs with fresh water.

The experience itself speaks for it self unforgettable, incredible and amazing all down to the organisation of Alpaca expeditions and of course Felix who made the experience so friendly. You don’t worry about anything as he is so knowledgable and has the answers which makes you feel comfortable.

My fitness level is moderate to high and I found the track easy but a little tyring from camping in tents. My parents of average fitness aged 55+ also found the hike moderate to easy. It was a challenge for them but not back breaking.

The only thing I wish was better was the toilets along some parts of the route BUT that is all part of the process and experience. The views, the challenge and the lovely people you meet is beyond worth it. It has made me want explore more of Peru!

Felix is a seasoned trekking leader and probably one of the best. I hike many places but this trip is my first group hike and it will not be the last. Thanks to the experience I had in this Peru trip. You guys are the best.

Our guides Juan Félix and Reynaldo went the mile and beyond to cater to our needs and made sure everything ran smoothly and we could enjoy the challenging trek. We had a memorable 5 days Inca Trail experience and learnt a lot about the Peruvian culture.

Félix was an absolute amazing guide who quickly became our brother in Peru. Along with the team at Alpaca Expeditions, especially Ronaldo he made the trip an experience of a lifetime and Alpaca Expeditions are very lucky to have him. Absolute fantastic trip. Felix and his team could not have looked after us any better. The trek, the camping, the food was all amazing. This was my first group tour and it has definitely made me want to come back again and do more 😀
