Disappointed but not totally surprised.

I recently decided to order from American Eagle’s online store because I needed some new pants for work and I kept seeing attractive ads. My first experience was excellent so I decided to shop again. Right now I don’t really know what is going on with my order and I am beyond perturbed. I paid for two day shipping and I met the requirements for that, but my order still has not shipped. I contacted them to see if there was an issue on my end or theirs. They told me that my order had not shipped yet because one item was not available. I don’t understand why they would have something posted on their site if it is not available. I wanted to cancel the order and just get a refund because I don’t want to be bothered with all of this but they won’t let me do that per their policy. I don’t think that’s fair because cancellation should be possible for items that have not shipped, especially if said items are not available. I have contacted them 3 times so far and I’ve been getting vague responses and I really don’t think they’re being helpful or honest. I was supposed to receive an email confirming that my shipping fee was refunded, never got that. After inquiring about that, I was told i would not receive any confirmation on that until my order shipped. Not much I can do right now and that’s frustrating. After this I’m not going to order from them anymore. This is ridiculous. Still hoping to receive what I paid for.

Update: After all of that they decided to cancel part of my order. They should have done that from the beginning. They sent me an email telling me about the cancellation of my shoes and gave me a tracking number that doesn’t work for my other item. This is the worst experience I’ve had with them. I don’t even care anymore lol. Thankfully the money didn’t leave my account because nothing was shipped. Going to stick with Hollister.

Eigentlich müsste ich 0 Sterne vergeben!
Es scheint Masche dieser Firma zu sein Artikel die sie nicht liefern können dies Klarna nicht mitzuteilen, Klarna fordert natürlich alles ein und dann geht es los das Klarna und AE sich die Schuld hin und herschieben!
Fakt ist das ich seit Wochen versuche mein Geld für einen nichtgelieferten Artikel zurück zu bekommen aber anscheinend kann ich das Geld in den Wind schießen. Nie wieder bestelle ich bei American Eagle!!!

Kundenservice ist unfähig oder dumm...

Ich habe 5 Artikel bestellt, 3 passten nicht, 1 Artikel wurde von AEO storniert. Über Klarna bezahlt werden soll der Betrag des behaltenen und des stornierten Artikels. Klarna und AEO schieben sich gegenseitig die Verantwortung zu. Der Kundenservice ist völlig unfähig und zu dumm das Problem zu verstehen. Nun habe ich 1 Artikel behalten und soll 2 Artikel bezahlen. Nie wieder AEO...

RETOURE für 20€ !!!!

Jeans passte nicht. Rückgabe. Kein Retourlabel erhalten. Darf als Privatperson keine Tütenverpackung in die USA verschicken. Also umpacken und als Packet verschicken .kostet aber 19.99 €. Habe aber seit 4 Wochen nix mehr gehört noch eine Rückerstattung erhalten.

Ich habe 5 Sachen bestellt 2 Davon wurde von dem Shop storniert 1 Artikel habe ich selbst zurückgeschickt.
Ich habe über klarna bezahlt der zurückgesendete Artikel wurde zwar erstattet aber es wurden 6 Euro abgezogen.
Die anderen beiden Artikel wurden nicht erstattet habe versucht das mit dem Shop zu klären aber bis jetzt immernoch keine Rückerstattung erhalten weil der shop meinte das klarna das machen muss aber Klarna sagt der Shop muss es erst bestätigen.
Der Kundenservice von dem Shop versteht nicht was ich möchte eine Telefonnummer um das zu klären gibt es leider auch nicht. Wahrscheinlich werde ich nie eine Rückerstattung bekommen schade weil die Produkte sind gut.

STAY WELL AWAY

Wow. I had no idea until now that this clothing store had such bad reviews for pretty much everything. If I had only been on trust pilot before hand I would have never ordered from them. I used to get great quality clothing from them my last purchase was a pair of jeans which have deteriorated after wearing them less than a handful of times in over a 2 month period. After contacting American Eagle they refused to offer an exchange or refund and tried to settle with a measly 15 discount and free shipping off another purchase. NO THANKS. I would highly recommend everyone stay away from this clothing store and spend your money elsewhere

Wow I can’t believe you don’t have free returns!

Wow I can’t believe you don’t have free returns as I didn’t see anything regarding this not even on your email how to return page.
I have never shopped before at American Eagle and after being penalized $27 to return 3 items by mail in 1 parcel it is unacceptable!
The Tee Shirts were certainly not worth it and will not be shopping American Eagle again.
After reading pages and pages of bad reviews and that you are not BBB approved I guess the “American Eagle” says it all! Hope the boycotts hit your company hard.

Returns kosten 6 EUR

Es war das erste Mal, dass ich bei AE gekauft habe. Im Rückgaberecht stand volle Rückerstattung. Die Größe passte nicht, ich schickte die Jeans zurück und bekam 6 EUR in Rechnung gestellt - ich werde dort nie wieder einkaufen.

This is one of the worst services I got. I boughr a shirt and at home I noticed that it was not the right size. The day after I went to the shop to exchange the size.
But they refused since the tag fell of the shirt. I still have the original tag and the receipt. But they were not willing to exchange. Also when calling customer Service they refused. This is very unusual and very customer unfriendly. I will never buy there again

Een legging met een gat er in

Een sportlegging met een gat er in ontvangen. Er wordt helemaal niks met de klacht gedaan. Ondertussen heb ik al een maand een legging in huis die ik niet kan dragen.
Gelukkig was de betaling via Klarna en heb ik de betalingen gepauzeerd. Hopelijk kan Klarna er in ieder geval wat aan doen.

I’ve been a loyal American Eagle…


I’ve been a loyal American Eagle customer for years, but after my most recent experience, I will never be shopping here again. If you’re considering buying from AE, let this be your warning: their customer service is beyond useless, and they clearly don’t care about their customers once they’ve taken your money.

I recently purchased a pair of jeans online, and due to an issue with the delivery, they were stolen before I could even get them. When I reached out to AE customer service, expecting some kind of resolution, I was met with the most unhelpful and dismissive responses I have ever encountered. They told me there was “nothing they could do” and that I should “check with the carrier.” Excuse me? I bought the jeans from you, not the carrier. It’s your responsibility to make sure customers receive what they pay for, but instead, you completely wash your hands of the situation and leave the customer out of luck.

I’ve dealt with other retailers in the past who actually stand behind their service and help customers when issues like this arise. AE, on the other hand, couldn’t care less. No refund, no replacement, no solution—just “sorry, we can’t help you.” What kind of company refuses to take accountability for a lost or stolen package? This is a major company, not some random online scam shop, but they sure act like one when there’s a problem.

And let’s talk about how ridiculously overpriced AE jeans are. They charge premium prices for what is, at best, average quality denim. And yet, when something goes wrong, they act like they’re some bargain basement store with no customer protection whatsoever. If I’m spending that much money on a pair of jeans, I expect some level of customer service if an issue arises. Instead, they treat their paying customers like an inconvenience.

This whole experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I won’t be shopping here ever again. There are plenty of other brands that actually appreciate their customers and don’t abandon them when something goes wrong. AE has proven they don’t deserve my business, and if you value decent service, they don’t deserve yours either.

They are the absolute worst

They are the absolute worst, I have never experienced this. I ordered with AE to Switzerland; two pairs of pants didn't fit, so I sent them back to their return address in Belgium and announced my return over their email address. Never got a response and the return package (for which I paid 35CHF for) came back, it was rejected. Tried to write to them, tried to call them, tried absolutely everything - over the chat function and phone "they can't find my order"???!!! Any email to their support address remains unanswered. Nobody offered any solution. Absolutely atrocious and also illegal here (they have to accept returns within 2 weeks and they didn't), I am considering legal steps to get my money back. DO NOT ORDER WITH THEM.

I ordered 3 shirts and return two of them but in canada we had canada post strike so i was delayed by 20 days return once return reached at there warehouse they emailed me back and send defective shirt back to me and said this is old unbelievable robbery NEVER BUY FROM THEM EVER money doesn’t come free

I ordered 2 pair of jeans in my normal size as I have for over 10 years get them and they are 4 inches longer than how they use to be made. I applied for Instant Refund to re-order In A shorter length only to get an email telling me there was a glitch in their system, and they won’t honor the instant refund and now I have to wait till the four weeks before I can get my refund even though the items are back in their hands. I am HIGHLY disappointed and have proof of all this if need be too!

I recently ordered $300 worth of…

I recently ordered $300 worth of clothing from American Eagle as Christmas gifts for my daughter. Unfortunately, the delivery company, TForce, did not deliver to my address, as confirmed by their delivery photo, which shows a completely different location. Despite this, American Eagle has refused to replace the items, claiming that once a package leaves their warehouse, it is no longer their responsibility.

I escalated the issue to their claims department, where I spoke with Drew, who reiterated that it was my responsibility to contact the delivery company. After reaching out to TForce, they admitted to the delivery error and even provided an email confirming their mistake. However, they stated that it is up to American Eagle to resolve the issue and replace the items. I have shared this information with American Eagle, yet I am still waiting for a resolution.

To date, I have spent over five hours trying to rectify this situation. The lack of accountability and compassion, especially during the holiday season, has been incredibly disappointing. My daughter was left without a significant portion of her Christmas gifts, and not once has anyone offered an apology.

I just had a bad experience at the store Aerie in Assembly Row, Somerville, MA The manager (Alycia) The store advertised undies for 10/32. I get to register prices changed 5/20. Despite the signs still reads she refused to change it. By laws she should honored that not my issue she is not doing her job. I did not want to make a scene, I hope her superiors or someone above her reading this review. Please do the right thing!

Si j'avais pu mettre 0 je l'aurais fait. Commande passée le 22 décembre, toujours en attente de collecte par le transporteur. Le service client est déplorable et n'aide pas du tout. Ils disent juste d'attendre 14 jours avant que la commande soit considérée comme perdue et qu'ils puissent éventuellement procéder à un remboursement. C'est ridicule comme politique et c'est du vol. J'achetais en magasin avant mais c'est la première et dernière fois que je commande sur leur site. Ce sont des voleurs, ne commandez jamais sur leur site!
