I was denied a return for not having tags on an item that was not shipped with tags in the first place. I see others have had this same issue. I think something needs to be done in a class action lawsuit. This is theft.

I am both tall and slender
I am both tall and slender, AE had always had a pair of pants that fit me. The long and X Long have made me so happy to get new jeans, and they last. I literally have a pair of pants from 9 years ago. I am in my 30’s and have been shopping at AE since I was in Middle school. Love this brand
Warehouse denying valid returns
This is the third time I’ve had items denied tone returned at the warehouse. Stating they’ve been worn and washed when they were not worn and tags still on!!

My oder shipped in 3 packages. 2 of the shipments were incorrect and one had stuff I didn't even order. There mistake yet I had to jump thru hoops to try and get it straightened out and had to reorder some items from first incorrect package then return the incorrect stuff to the sore. Then the 2nd package came in with yet again incorrect stuff. Again I have to do all the leg work to correct the issue and I'm left wondering if I will get refunded for the stuff I had actually ordered. The customer service sucks because this was there mix up and they should of offered to ship me the correct items both times instead of making me trust they will refund me correctly. I will never place another order with them because 2 screw ups in one order is totally unacceptable. Think they might have someone pocketi g so e items and covering up their dirty work with the old switcharoo.×

Horrible shipping and customer service. Ended up with none of my order and just told here is your refund do you want to do it all over again. All you have to do is jump thru more hoops to hopefully get your order you already should of got. NEVER AGAIN

Sent me itchy track pants- returned . Offered credit and then weeks later, sent the cheap pants back and charged me for them .
Quality good, return/customer service poor
Where I like the jeans I ordered, the return policy is poor. I understand they state, “original tags need to be included in return.” But if the jeans have never been washed or worn and one forgot the tags, that’s simply unfair to the customer. How hard is it to attached a new tag and sticker to a still brand new item? I won’t recommend American Eagle to any one I know.

Llevo más de 2 meses esperando una recolección de un jeans, por garantía, la experiencia ha sido fatal, inicialmente pedí la devolución de mi dinero y lo que hicieron fue enviarme un jeans en una talla equivocada, cada semana debo de llamar porque no hacen la recolección y solo culpan a la empresa de mensajería.
Tienen solo políticas para exigirle al cliente, pero como empresa no hay políticas donde le den garantía al cliente son más de 3 meses que llevo en esto

The jeans I bought had an imperfection in a seam. I discovered it after I got home and put them on. I returned them to the Danbury CT store and they would not exchange. Told me it was against policy. A call to corporate office produced the same answer. Don't buy American Eagle!! Stick with GAP or Lucky Brand. On top of it sales clerk was incredible rude.

My item has been with the merchant for 5 days now and no updates. I spoke with customer service and they refuse to give me refund and told me to wait 2 weeks before they can do anything. Which is BS. I have filed a charge back on my card. They should respect there customers and give a partial refund if it’s takes 5 days to “ship”. I will never order or shop at American Eagle ever again. Every company I order from gives me a refund after 3-5 days if nothing has been shipped or any updates.

Ich nahm Kontakt zum Support auf, dort wurde meine Reklamierung auf höherer Ebene verneint. Weder wurde die Hose erstattet, repariert oder ersetzt.
Sehr enttäuschend. Ich bestelle bei American Eagle nicht nochmal.
Customer service is awful
Customer service is awful. Purchased an item for granddaughter. Had to return because it did not work. She had receipt and all tags on. Because she did not have credit card used in hand they automatically gave her a gift card. I tried to call and tell them that I did not want a gift card and could come into store for them to credit back to by credit card and they said they couldn't do. Unbelievable??? Will never shop there or any of their affiliated stores.
Worst customer service experience of all internet companies I've dealt with
I got the wrong size of pants so I sent them back. Because they were on sale I went ahead and purchased the correct size with a credit card. I kept checking about my refund and was told because of being so busy it would take a month to get a refund. I finally did get it but they put it on a giftcard so now I had to buy more product to reach the $75 threshold for free shipping. I decided then to send back some pants and called the customer service. They apologized for the delay for the refund and said they would send a RMA and to ship back the pants. Nothing was mentioned other than to package it and ship via UPS. Almost a month later I got a not saying that they were sending the pants back because I didn't have the original tags attached. I wasn't told this by customer service but they stated I should have looked at their return policy. I have never been so disgusted buying something on line and a month for refunds . . . worst in the industry. I buy mostly online and I have never encountered a more dysfunctional or non-caring customer service among all stores/vendors I have dealt with.
Never issued a refund for returned clothing
I purchased jeans online and then attempted to return them in-store because they did not fit.
The cashier told me she would refund the transaction, and that I’d receive an email with more information regarding the refund.
Unfortunately, I left the store and was never issued a refund; I also did not receive any notifications regarding my attempted return.
Since the cashier did not print out a receipt for me while I was in the store, I have no proof that I gave my jeans back to American Eagle.
Because of this, PayPal will not refund my $40.04 (since I used it as my payment method). I am really disappointed that I paid $40.04 and have nothing to show for it when truly, this issue happened because the staff did not process my return successfully.
I would love if anyone from American Eagle could assist me with this issue, as it would absolutely change my opinion about the company for the best.

Never Buying Again. Unprofessional & dishonest
I was a regular customer but not anymore. They have a 30 day refund and a 60 day refund and do not honor it. I returned a shirt for exchange and only had the shirt 20 days. They emailed me and said they will be refusing the exchange because the tag was removed. Like yeah I'm not gonna walk around with a tag sticking out. Had almost $300 in the cart ready to buy again and just deleted the site from my bookmarks. These companies are getting so greedy and unprofessional I rather not buy anything at all.
Sweater has big hole after one wash
I bought an American Eagle sweater, washed it once and now there is a big hole in it. I bought it a couple of months ago and didn't save the receipt because I intended to keep it. Customer service says they won't be able to issue a refund without a receipt. I also have to go all the way back to the physical store to resolve, or not resolve in my case due to lack of receipt, and it is across the city where I don't usually shop. I'm not going to waste my time. Very inconvenient to make it so difficult for your customer to get any type of customer service and poor quality clothing at a steep price. I would not spend a dime at this store with so many others of WAY better quality to choose from.
They forced me to use store credit instead of refund my card
They forced me to use store credit on a return and then did not allow me to reverse the store credit to a regular return. They will not refund back to your card if you use Apple Pay and they force you do do a gift card without telling you until it’s too late. Now I’m out that money. They were also rude to me about it online
