We've recently moved into our new home on the Kings Green development in Upminster. As expected when moving to a new build property there have been some minor snagging issues, but our Site Manager Matt and his assistant Ed have been very attentive to all of the issues we have raised and addressed each one very professionally. We have been very impressed with the service provided and have had confidence that the issues we have reported will be dealt with effectively.

We recently bought our new home from Abbey New Homes in Sittingbourne (Chestnut Grove), and the whole experience has been fantastic from start to finish.

The sales ladies were amazing especially Marina she was so friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole buying process. They made everything feel easy and kept us updated every step of the way.

Since moving in, the site manager and builders have been nothing but helpful. Any snags we’ve had have been dealt with quickly, and they’ve even helped with a few things they didn’t need to which really shows how much they care about their buyers.

We’re so happy with our new home and can’t thank the team enough for all their support. Would definitely recommend Abbey New Homes to anyone looking to buy a new build in the area.

We recently moved into our first home at Royal Gardens development and couldn't be happier. All the staff were incredibly helpful throughout the process, especially Teresa and Grant, who made the experience as smooth as it could be. The site team have been great to deal with, and snags were sorted promptly. The house is perfect and the area is a lovely place to live.

Nev, Ian and Henry the Site Managers of our development have been amazing! So helpful with any questions and any diy jobs that need advice, which is great for first time buyers and always friendly and cheerful. There has been a few minor issues in terms of final touches to the property and some issues with site staff parking in resident spaces during the works, however overall it has been a pleasant experience and we are very happy with our property.

An excellent experience, Teresa and Karen were extremely helpful in making sure everything went smoothly. All steps were followed and regular updates provided. Any questions were answered promptly. Always ready to support with any concerns and made sure all forms were completed on time and moving in date was met.

We have had a fantastic time with Abbey new homes right from the start of knowing of our Coachhouse had been released ,all through our journey the staff have been amazing always there to help if we need it especially all the paperwork that there is , they have gone out of their way to help us . Even now when we have moved in a month ago they are still helping us , if we had a problem with our property it was dealt with very quickly . We would recommend them to anyone who is thinking of buying a new home of Abbeys because they really do look after their customers. I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff at Wixam of Abbey for what they did and are still doing for us your all amazing in our journey to move into one of your homes

I reached out via the appropriate contact form as I had a dispute about adopted roads. I was helped by Usman Ahmed, he went above and beyond and provided me with everything that I needed. Excellent customer service from Usman!

We have bought lots of new builds and therefore have some experience to make comparisons across many builders - as ever, it is the quality of the actual site managers that make the biggest difference.

At Arcadia Park, Berryfields - I have to say that Nev and Ian are probably the best site managers that we have encountered. From the very first "hard hat" site visit arranged by the wonderful and personable sales agent Barbara, we could tell that this was a well managed development.

Both site managers took time out to give us a tour, asked lots of questions to understand our needs and then gave personal recomendations as to the floorplan and apartment design that would suit us best. They actually swayed us from our first brochure based choices and they were dead right with their suggestions.

They kept us updated as to the progress of the build, they accommodated wardrobe designers and decorators, eased doors after the carpet fitter had been and helped out with furniture deliveries - I even saw Nev helping to lug a fridge up into a neighbours apartment.

They know every single resident in the development on a first name basis, they know the back story of everybody in this new community and haven't just disappeared the moment people were handed the keys. They have been keen to make sure every snag has been addressed and always stop to ask if everything is still ok with the apartment.

Really impressed with the whole process at Abbey New Homes but it has been led by the professionalism and hard work of Nev and Ian. I know they are moving on to another building phase nearby and wish them the best of luck with that next project. For our part it has been a great experience buying on this development and we would do so again.

Julia who is the assistant manager of new homes is amazing. She has helped us so much. Going above and beyond in trying to make a house on kings green work for us. She has been a pleasure to deal with.

We bought a new-build house from Abbey, and we were initially very impressed. I had heard bad reports about the quality of the build, but our house seemed to be in very good condition; there were minor defects, and these were resolved shortly after being reported.

One of the first defects of a faulty tap. It came apart and we reported this so it could be fixed. Their immediate response was, 'We think you have broken it off. So you need to fix it yourself'. I quickly pointed out that that was the silliest conclusion they could have come to. I supplied multiple images, and they then arranged for a plumber to come around to repair.

Then, towards the end of June, I noticed that our exterior wall looked like it was bending inward. Upon closer inspection of the garden side, I noticed there were serious cracks in the wall. I then checked the external side of the wall and could see an inward bend, but apart from that, nothing else. Given the potential danger to my wife and two children, I reported the issue to Abbey Homes, hoping they would arrange for the defect to be fixed as soon as possible.

To cut a long story short, they firstly sent one individual who barely looked at it and came to the almighty conclusion that my wall was hit by a vehicle of some sort, and therefore they were not liable. I objected and they sent another individual. Then this one who paid more attention suggested they he be back to review the foundations, but the only thing I received was another reply stating it looked like a vehicle had hit the wall.

The problem here is that, as there is always somebody at home, no collision of any type was ever heard or even noticed on the external street-facing wall. Secondly, my neighbour works in construction and is responsible for ensuring brick walls are built to a very high standard. He himself concluded that there was absolutely no way any vehicle could have collided with my wall; the issue is in the foundations, which Abbey Homes doesn't want to look at.

I am now liaising with NHBC to escalate this issue, but I thought it wise to put this review on here in case anybody else is thinking of purchasing a home from these developers.

Very impressed with all the team at Chestnut Grove who were great at resolving any issues, and happy to say albeit minor issues that you would expect from a new build.

I have lived in my home for 2 months now, it’s been wonderful, the house is stunning! Everyone has been so helpful and supportive. Especially Teresa & Karen thank you for your help throughout the process I couldn’t have done this without you.

I had a wonderful experience with the Arcadia team at Abbey Homes. Barbara from the sales team was always very helpful. Whenever I had questions, she clarified everything and even supported me in keeping track with the solicitors. It was Christmas time when every other office was closed, but she still took responsibility and made sure I could proceed with my reservation, even though I had not yet completed the initial eligibility check. That dedication meant a lot.

Ian, the site manager, was fantastic throughout the build process. I had the chance to visit the site, and he took the time to walk me through every stage of the construction. Even before I chose my plot, he showed me a couple of options which made my decision so much easier. Both Ian and Nev went above and beyond for me — even during weekends, they came to check on my washing machine plumbing issue to make sure everything was fine.

Nev, the after sales manager, has been excellent as well. All the snags I had were taken care of quickly, and even after the snag period was over, he still helped me to fix issues. I even got help from the team to cut my blind slats, which was such a thoughtful gesture and shows the extra care they give to customers.

Though the construction was still ongoing, due to my personal situation the team kindly helped me to move into my new plot sooner, which I greatly appreciate.

Overall, it has been the greatest team I have ever come across. I truly wish Barbara, Ian, Nev, and the whole Arcadia team continued success.

You absolutely should not trust people like this with the biggest purchase of your life.

The agents—Beresfords—selling their new homes at King’s Green in Upminster acted very unprofessionally and it makes you wonder what else is being done that unprofessionally.

If I could write no star I would.

My daughter and her partner were looking at purchasing one if the homes at Richmond Park,. I travelled 300 miles to go along, we negotiated a good deal, we thought, left a reservation.

My daughter and her partner, so excited, smiling, joy.

So, got legal fees thrown in with there solicitors, but now he demands money up front, over to you Abbey, THAT DIDNT HAPPEN.

My daughter used there mtg guy, excellent. However, Abbey sent the wrong details over, waited two days for new ones, which were wrong, so still waited....

Abbey calls said we forgot to mention both the maintainance fee, oh and if course our completion fee, nearly a grand more,. Money not the issue but surely, my daughter should have been informed.

No phone calls were returned and as a dad I was beginning to feel uneasy with bith the sales process, the follow up and the management.

My daughter decides to cancel,. The sales office informed them the refund would be sent to head office, however, they did not follow the company process despite it being a company process, work that one out.

Endless phone calls, back and forth they are no closer to a refund than they were.

Abbey homes, you certainly no how to burst the bubble of people buying there first home,
