​Stepping into a brand-new industry after 36 years at sea was a daunting challenge, but the support from Webahead Internet made all the difference. Just as my website was preparing to go live, Katie Price passed my account over to Senior Account Manager, Amy Foers. Taking on a project at such a critical junction requires exceptional skill, and Amy stepped into the role seamlessly.
​Amy came onboard a few months before launch to give me that essential push. To be honest, I was hesitant to go live. I kept holding back, saying, "we need to change this, we need to change that, this needs to be done first." I was quite pernickety about getting every single detail perfect, but I was too scared to make the jump. Amy recognized that we just needed to get the site live and start moving ahead.
​It wasn't until she guided me across that finish line that everything clicked. I realized then that a newly formed website is just like a ship getting repaired in dry dock. You can fix so many things while static, but you can’t test the ship's critical systems—the engines, the telegraphs, or the steering—without putting to sea and putting her through her paces.
​That became crystal clear once we launched. We had to quickly refine the booking system, iron out the terms and conditions, and ensure everything was completely compliant. It also turned out that while I’d been reviewing all my meticulous changes on a tablet where everything looked lovely, the mobile phone layout needed significant adjustments so guests could book smoothly on their phones.
​I was extremely meticulous with the booking system, making sure every detail was completely consistent across the entire website. It must have taken tremendous patience to handle my constant alterations, tweaks, and endless updates, but Amy handled every request with absolute grace and expertise. Whenever I called in a panic about short-notice changes—worried a guest might try to book while something wasn't quite right—Amy was immediately at the end of the phone to reassure me, guide me, and suggest brilliant enhancements. She jumped straight in, working with the design and developer teams to make instant adjustments before any issues could arise or refunds had to be issued.
​Thanks to her guidance, we didn't just launch—we built a complete digital platform. The navigation menu is seamlessly organized to include My Tours, Sites, More Sites, Tour Stops, Fixed Itineraries, a Social Wall, Reviews, and a Blog. Amy even ensured that the design team created a professional email letterhead complete with my logo, address, website details, and necessary legal information so that every communication sent to customers looks thoroughly polished and official. The booking system itself has gone from amazing to absolutely outstanding; visitors can easily explore all three tour options, view detailed itineraries, and complete a reservation seamlessly with just three actions and five easy clicks.
​Although the website is wonderfully simplistic, everything is clear and concise. It gently guides you through the site, with everything laid out right in front of you so that making a booking is completely easy and remarkably swift. Every single customer who has booked a tour through the website has remarked on just how simple and effortless the whole process was. I cannot stress enough that so many of these additions and improvements were down to Amy's initiative and advice. On top of that, we are indexed on search engines like Bing and Yahoo and equipped with full analytics tracking. The site looks and functions amazingly, and I'm deeply grateful to have Amy in my corner supporting the business.
