Don't fall for the buyer protection - also no customer service
I bought a t-shirt and the seller sent me something else. I raised it with Vinted who had charged me extra for "buyer protection" but they told me that I would have to pay the shipping eventhough they are acknolwedging that the seller did not send the item that I had bought. So the buyer protection is BS and their customer service is not existing as they keep sending you blank T&Cs and are not really listening (they are robots). I have closed my account with them and I will never use that platform again.
My first experience with Vinted was really disappointing
Have been selling online for years and this year I decided to use Vinted as a lot of people seem to use it. I tried to list a designer item over a week ago and it still hasn’t been approved for selling. I have sent 15 photos to prove its authenticity and they still ask for more. I don’t know why they are so distrusting. In any case I have listed my item on another selling platform which was much easier and already have received an offer. My first experience with Vinted has proved terrible so I will use other platforms going forward.

Nog was het niet genoeg, klant heeft het product beschadigd ontvangen krijg haar geld terug en hoeft niets retour te sturen. lekker gratis allemaal als je het product niet wilt betalen. Helaas valt er weinig aan te doen. Ze blijven bij hun beslissing en je staat met lege handen.

Hello, this morning my account was suspended for alleged sale of counterfeit items and creation of multiple accounts.
I am a 5-star seller with an excellent track record, hundreds of successful sales and zero complaints from buyers. I have never sold counterfeit items and I have not been provided with any specific evidence regarding the items in question.
Regarding the multiple accounts: I only had a secondary profile years ago which I personally deleted; this was the only active account I was using. I have not created any other profiles.
I have already submitted an official appeal explaining everything and I am available to send any proof (detailed photos, receipts, etc.). I kindly request a review of my case because the suspension seems to be a mistake and I am losing the possibility to sell and withdraw my pending funds.

Despicable customer service
Despicable customer service! I can not even refer to it as a service. My parcel was marked as delivered by An Post but I have not received it. Contacted Vinted, they marked the transaction as successful and completed "Thank you for getting back to us.
Since the carrier has confirmed delivery, we provide 48 hours to report any issues with the item, not the delivery itself. As no concerns about the item were raised within this timeframe, the transaction has been completed.
We truly appreciate your understanding and are here to assist if you need anything else.

Sucks bad…. Their bots ruin the experience. They keep closing my account as suspicious of fake even with proof of authenticity.

I initially was quite pleased with Vinted, but they have a breach in their own rules. They claim that sales are binding unless the items dies not live up to the description. However, they allow buyers just not to pick up the parcel and then you have to accept a return as the seller and wait up to 25 days for the return. I have experienced this in 25% of all sales, meaning that you waste signifikant time as a seller. And it also decrease the sustainability idea of bying used, when items are shipped forth and back for nothing.

Useless Service. Joined and list a pair of shoes only to be permanently banned before it even went live.

Awful cowboy firm with an appalling lack of customer support.
An expensive item I sold on vinted was supposed to have been returned to me but has been lost by the courier.
Vinted, in their infinite wisdom, refunded the buyer and have ignored me and not compensated me despite my having supposed seller protection.
Also, just for context, if an item goes missing with vinted they expect you to wait up to 6 weeks to obtain a refund from them, which goes against the UK long distance selling regulations which is set at having to wait two weeks to start action in obtaining a refund. I do not know how they can operate and act as intermediaries to sell in the UK without adhering to our laws but somehow they are able to.

Unfair restriction and poor customer support
Very disappointing experience.
My account was restricted and multiple listings were removed due to ‘low quality photos’, even though the items were real and clearly visible.
I contacted support, but instead of receiving a clear explanation, I only got generic responses like ‘we are reviewing your case’. Eventually, they refused to reconsider without giving specific details about what exactly was wrong.
This directly affected my sales and credibility as a seller. As a parent relying on this income, this situation is extremely frustrating and unfair.

Otto nitide imagini documentavano il danno: custodia schiacciata, disco intatto. Proposi rettifica equa di 15€ – valore merce nova 9€ – onorando l'acquisto. Il venditore, custode di 500 valutazioni lodevoli, assentì sollecito: "litighiamo uniti innanzi Vinted". Ah, mal gliene incolse!
Ma la piattaforma, algida dea cibernetica, decretò altrimenti. Il 24 marzo: annullamento totale della vendita. Summum Ius Summa Iniura...
Io rimborsato, o così sostengono faranno, integralmente, ma al venditore, indennizzato 25€ dal corriere. Così, conservo il bene danneggiato senza onere, mentre l'onesto commerciante patisce.
Può un'avvocato dare soldi ad altri potendolo evitare? I miracoli avvengono.

Lieve fu un accordo di saldo egi per ambo le parti?
No, perchè Vinted, nel suo rigore algoritmico, calpesta l'autonomia contrattuale delle parti, ignora prove oculari, impone soluzioni unilaterali. Nel nome del "chi paga è mio amico". E servus sia.
A mio vantaggio? Sicut transit gloria mundi, l'onestà ha forse prezzo?
Dove il buonsenso coniuga iscarioti compromessi, regna l'automatismo cieco.

This company is really a pile of doo doo.
Sellers in good faith spend time listing good items for too low prices. Then often the buyer wears items for the weekend then say its damaged. The seller has to pay returns and original postage and has an item damaged by dodgy buyers. Vinted completely support the buyer in this.
Also for no apparent reason they ban without any option to communicate to sellers for selling counterfeit items that are actually genuine. Unbelievable and frankly they don't deserve decent sellers. I anticipate it won't be long before they completely leave the market and rightly so. Sellers beware that load of rubbish platform.
Sorry to hear that the deformation of my good character as a counterfitter is actually the norm on vinted. How unfair and insulting. They have no clue or care what they are doing. Trial by AI and awful customer service.

I'm new to Vinted. I sold three items before Vinted locked my account for "suspicious activity"- No idea why. I did nothing.
I now have a lady who paid me for a top and I can't send it to her or refund her. I now look like a bad guy. Vinted now has my money from my sales and her money. It's a pure SCAM. I do not reccomend. I'm posting this 4 days after my account being locked. Still no resolution. No word from vinted

So many of the clothes are badly displayed! It would be impossible to guess what they would really be like from their picture so the buyer is taking a chance. The product l bought was perfect.

Randomly banned with no explanation - I was hoping to sell a higher-end item (designer wedding dress) and one day I got a message that I was banned. I appealed with photos of the dress, information about it, proof of its authenticity etc and my account was restored. A few weeks later, though, I was banned again - and this time they just blocked me? I really don't know. Also the one thing I bought off there WAS actually fake! I don't know what's going on with their fraud detection service but it sucks.
AI banning of sellers creating many errors and potential lawsuits
Only on the site over a week. Selling items well if cheaper but higher end great value quality items even with tags harder to sell. Then suddenly receive a ban notification. Feels completely like a defamation of my character as an honest seller. There has to be some comeback for AI generated perception of what constitutes fakes or infringements as it’s obviously not accurate. Damaging to individual reputation as genuine sellers. Poor customer care. Wonder how many law suits will arise this poor practice. The idea of Vinted is great but the AI processes are extremely poor and damaging to the trust of buyers and sellers.
