Excellent, easy-to-use platform
I tried another gift card company prior to using Vanilla and have found Vanilla MUCH easier to use. With the other company, orders would appear to go through and get cancelled. With Vanilla, it is seamless and fast. Since I am giving gift cards as a thank you for a market research project, I need a platform that sends the cards reliably. Vanilla does that. I will keep using and recommend them to anyone.

Update: Although the situation was frustrating and took 2 phone calls, we did get a refund for this order.
Original review: We ordered a gift card to be sent to our son. Two weeks later, no gift card. Phone calls do not yield anyone who can help. I requested a refund after the 2nd call and was told the agent or his supervisor could not issue a refund and that he needed to “raise the case” and it would be another 2 days before anyone contacted me. I don’t trust them to resolve this. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Don’t use this company.

Absolutely a scam
Absolutely a scam! Was gifted a $250 gift card only to have all but $1.14 fraudulently used on the card. The card was used just after I went to the website to activate and find out the PIN number. I called customer service who said they would send me an email to dispute the transactions and that was 4 days ago and I have received nothing. So disappointed

Useless customer report
I have vanilla gift cards in the past with no issues but when you have one customer service in useless. They don't have a clue what to do. All they do is check the balance on the card. I called 6 times one night ( trying to get to different support agents) and all if the just checked the balance on the card. When I tried to use the card it would not authorize the transaction. They just read of prepared script. Again, useless customer support.

I wish I could give negative stars…
I wish I could give negative stars that's how bad they suck. First of all if you don't use it right away they block it due to fraud...like WTF. Then you can't register them anymore so you can't even buy anything online. I was hoping to buy our home school supplies with this since money is tight (got for xmas from my parents) but NOPE. Can't register it so can't buy anything from Amazon. I called customer service and she said you need to register them at the store when you buy. UHM EXCUSE ME?? Most people give these as gifts and you're telling me you have to have all of their personal info to give these now? SO INSANE. UGH just so frustrated with this company. SUCH A SCAM! DO NOT BUY!!

This experience was great because it was easy to complete the order. The only problem however was I had to call my bank to authenticate this purchase. In doing so, I had to dump the first purchase and re-do. I lost my option to use the 100% off payment fee $3.95. :( Even tho the field had cleared and I reinstalled the code, it did not take.
