Have used Valla for a few things now.

ET1 service - amazing and paid extra to have them review it a few times when I made some extra changes before sending it off.

Coaching - William Thompson I had coaching with William & he honestly was so helpful. I wanted help adding a respondent on to my claim and he gave me so much advice and went above and beyond in helping me with my documents and advice. I will be arranging more hours when it comes to my preliminary hearing!

Booking appointments - Jade at Valla was so prompt with booking and both days I managed to get appointments booked same day! She was very thorough in checking in with me.

Very happy with service so far and a lot cheaper than using solicitor firm.

My experience with Valla so far is a bit of a mixed bag:
Good: answer emails very quickly, videos on YouTube really helpful, paid advice before submitting the ET1 was fantastic.
Not so good: It was lucky that I did pay for someone to check my ET1 because the way it's set out on Valla is absolutely useless for the actual form. Events are under categories of which form of discrimination they take, which then means that the timeline is all over the place. It also doesn't tell you anywhere that you need to write a background to the case, especially if it's complex. The judge needs to be able to see exactly what your complaints are. I also found the Remedy section extremely difficult, and there was no help with this.
I do believe the Valla team are lovely and really do care about people, but there needs to be a lot more content to their site to continue to help people through every section of the process - I don't see anything about a list of issues or schedule of loss, both incredibly important to get right. They have been going for quite a while now, so it seems quite odd that the help is so limited.

This is a great company and one of the many free/ fair priced voluntary litigant-in-person services available. We should all be thankful that this company exists. Their website information is very useful. Their webinars are very useful. Their staff members seem very knowledgeable. This company helped to equip me through my own personal employment tribunal claim. It was terrifying but i was able to reach a successful conclusion after an 24-month period. I am grateful to Valla and their encouragement to believe that we ourselves are capable of taking on our employers. Do not fall for the intimidation tactics of a stupid solicitor who is getting paid £300 per hour to destroy your confidence so that you scurry away like a mouse.

The videos, information and guidance that Valla provide are really helpful. I was able to use the guidance to strategise, pull together my evidence and strengthen my case to negotiate my redundancy. Highly recommend!

Used the grievance letter template and found it helpful to formulate my thoughts, and helpful prompts. Good layout to make it professional. Paid extra for review and the comments were very good and gave me reassurance to submit to my manager.

Great focused online seminars on very relevant topics which certainly helped with my concerns & anxieties. I also used several of the VALLA template letters, which were excellent . 🤩 Cheers and thank you to everyone at VALLA, your all doing an amazing job.

As someone who successfully navigated a tribunal case after attending several free webinars, I cannot overstate the value I gained throughout. The webinars provided me with invaluable insights into the tribunal process, making a complex and overwhelming journey far more manageable.

If you’re feeling isolated or unsure of where to start, I highly recommend signing up for one of their live webinars. Their tools and resources, particularly for structuring the ET1 form, are outstanding. I wish I had discovered them sooner—it would have saved me significant time and effort, as the ET1 is such a critical document for outlining your claims.

I cannot express how invaluable the coaching sessions purchased from Valla.uk were during my employment tribunal process and how excellent value for money they are. Employment law’s best kept secret !
I only found Valla on YouTube a month before the endpoint of a very stressful process.
I wish I had found them sooner. As many others have said, Jade’s upbeat, supportive email responses to initial enquiries and any other questions about the booking process or availability are so comforting and empowering.
The support I received from Anna - the Coach allocated to me - was fantastic and completely tailored to the exact help I needed, on the specific element or document I needed assistance or translation with.

Being able to access remote coaching in the evening in the middle of a hearing process was invaluable as things change on a daily basis and the coaching becomes even more valuable when it can be adapted to meet the needs at a specific point in time rather than something that has been set in place before a hearing begins.

And let’s not get even into the costs .. the whole legal system completely discriminate against anyone on a low or even a standard income, for whatever reason, so the coaching from Valla is even more invaluable and really fairly priced.

I actually think it’s criminal that I’ve had to find Valla through my own research and cannot fathom the dearth of signposting to such a valuable service, other than possibly the influence of the outdated, overpriced, financially exclusive British legal system, which despite its advertised accessibility via the tribunal service, is ABSOLUTELY not geared up to support litigants in person, let alone LIP with disabilities.

Your communication was efficient and very welcomed even if it was just the acknowledgment initial email.

The form it’s self where you can select and categorise your issues was simple, straightforward and self explanatory with easy to understand explanations and tips. The drop box where you can chose your issue and the relevant act that it refers too is an absolute god send as someone who is completely lay in laws and Acts this has been immensely helpful.
I am somebody who is slightly dislexic so being able to use your online form to be able to put what I want to say into bite size paragraphs has been really helpful.
Being able to save the form and return to it was a welcome relief because it’s too easy to waffle and try and get it done.

The timeline was absolutely helpful especially managing to put times and dates in and work in a chronological order. This was also conducive to remembering key events that could have been overlooked or forgotten.

Overall the help and information from yourselves and the tik tok videos has been has been absolutely imperitive in helping me put together the information needed for this to be taken seriously. I think a lot of people put up and shut up with companies bad behaviour because of scary words like ‘solicitors and tribunals’ because average joe cannot afford legal advice - which starts at £300 for the hour!!! Your service is actually invaluable.

Lastly thank you guys again I shall definitely be recommending your services and tik tok videos. You really are invaluable.
