Good Overall Service
Had to wait a little while to connect, and used the "call Back" service. But on a call back. Katherine was very knowledgeable, and efficient, dealing with my enquiry pretty quickly. An e-mail followed within 1 hour. So, overall very good service and happy with outcome.

Worst financial decision we ever made
Myself and my wife were in the Utmost (formerly Generali) Visions plan and we were advised whilst living and working outside the UK by some (what we came to later realise) cowboy financial advisors to hand over our personal pensions to Utmost. Worst decision we have ever made. It took us a while but we discovered that Utmost’s fee structures are over-complicated and are only in their best interests. We pulled out of the Visions plan after 11 years with around 3% growth and our personal pensions down around 30%. The plan was sold to us with much favourable growth forecasts. The term of the plan was over 22 years but we decided to cut our losses. Utmost literally took all the growth the plan had made. We calculated over the 10 years we were in the plans, our fees were approximately £70-80k! The 10 year bonus of £10k (linked to the monthly payments) in the Visions plan was completely swallowed up with that year’s fees. One year, our fees were £14k! This was never clearly explained when we took out the plans. We don’t think even the financial advisors fully understood what they were selling. I would go nowhere near any Utmost product. We’ve made better financial decisions on our own.

Poor communication,email response time…
Poor communication,email response time inadequate often taking 24hrs for a response.
Called to discuss a time frame for completion of transaction response was " emails response time is 24/48hrs” completion 3 to 5 days as up to date still no notification of completion even though the funds transfer is complete.

The staff are very helpful and very knowledgeable; nothing is too much bother for them and if it is a new query they will break it down for you. I also like the fact one person deals with you until the end of your query; you are very rarely passed to other people this helps with trust and continuity.

Helpful team, processes are a little clunky
Team are always very helpful and quick to respond- often request information that is not requested with the forms which causes some back and forth- ie information about employment of an ex trustee etc. Maybe the process can be more streamlined to make it more obvious what information and documents are required initially to avoid delays.
