If I could give this tour 6 stars, I would. I went to Japan with Solo Female Travelers Network and IT WAS AWESOME. This was my 4th group tour, and I will only ever book with this company from now on. I made the best friends, it was like a girls trip but they started out as strangers. I never imagined I would get along so well with a group of women, let alone become such good friends with them.

Our guide was really sweet and knew everything about her country, including the best restaurants hidden in alleyways and basements that I would never be able to find, even with Google maps. One of the most memorable things we did was spending the evening with a geisha. I really didn't know what to expect, but it was so fun and really cool to learn about why she became a geisha and how hard her training was. Kyoto was magic. I also really loved hanging out with the group at the hotel where we had private ryokans. The food was so good at that hotel too and the rooms were very modern Japanese. So cute.

Anyway, I could go on and on about how much I loved this tour, but I recommend Japan with this company with my whole heart. 💗👘

I was so nervous to book a tour and to go alone, but I am so glad I did. My first tour was to Egypt, and it was the best trip of my life. Sam, or guide, was amazing and every day was really fun. My favorite was sailing down the Nile at sunset and then dancing around the fire at the Nubian village. Part of what made this trip for me was the group of women. There were 12 of us and everyone was nice and inclusive, we had no drama. I still keep in touch with most of the women from this tour.

I loved Egypt so much that I booked India. I loved this trip, even though it was a different vibe. I really appreciate how there were so many experiences with women, like visiting Sheroes Cafe, where acid attack survivors are given a job and a community. We also celebrated Holi at a local family's house and had a cooking class with three generations of women at their home. My only complaint about this trip was that the group was sometimes challenging to stay positive around. India is not an easy or predictable place, it's chaotic and things just don't always go to plan. I was happy to go with the flow because even when the itinerary had to be moved around to accommodate unexpected traffic or a site being closed when it should be open, our guide always got us everywhere we wanted to go. Nothing was skipped, in fact it sometimes led us to cool roadside stalls and a little more time to chat with the locals we were meeting. But some of the group members were just always complaining, and I didn't leave with as many friends as Egypt. I still had a great time and I loved my roommate.

I would book another tour with Sofe again for sure. I am even thinking about going to Mongolia next!

SoFe had a great program to show the life of Cuba, the activities were lovely, Ania was an amazing host and I enjoyed my time.

This tour was so much better than I expected. I was excited to finally go to Japan, a dream of mine since I was a kid watching anime after school. The itinerary on the website looked great, and compared to other companies the price was pretty good considering everything included. I expected it to be a solid tour, but it was so much more.

When they say you get to go to a tea ceremony, it wasn't just a basic tea ceremony, it was so special. It was in a tiny place on the second floor of a little antique store. The lady started out by going through all the cups she had, all old and different. They all had a different story from the design and the decade they were made and what was happening in history at the time (my cup was literally 200 years old!). Some has been broken and repaired using gold. Anyway, this was one of my favorite days, because the town this was in, the people we met...it was all so sweet and traditionally Japanese. I would have never known this even existed, and I have read tons of books and been on IG looking for stuff like this in Japan.

There were a lot of surprises like this, experiences just being better than I could have ever expected.

The group of women I was with were so fun, I still talk to most of them even months after this trip. There was one woman who was kind of a negative person, and I appreciated that the rest of us were so happy and excited to be there, she didn't get us down.

I wish I could do this trip for the first time over and over. It was the best tour I have ever been on, and I can not wait to see more countries with this company.

If you are on the fence about whether you should give them a try or not, the Japan tour is a really good bet.

I went to Morocco with them, and I am probably about to book Egypt next. I had so much fun on this trip. After a few years of getting caught up in work and family obligations, I booked this trip because I wanted to be thrown out of my routine and I have always dreamed of seeing Morocco.

Morocco is not a place if you want things to be perfect, it's chaotic and messy, but that's something I liked about it. There was one hotel we stayed at that I stalked before the trip that has 4.7 star reviews and is super nice, but when we were there, there were some issues with it not being as clean as I wanted. I told our guide and not 5 minutes later, someone was at my door to clean it. It wasn't a big deal, things happen. Some of the girls on my trip were really angry about little things, and that was probably my biggest complaint about the tour - some of the other girls seemed to look for things wrong and it sometimes brought the vibe down. Most of the group was great and I made two really good friends.

Our guide was AWESOME. She was so nice and knows everything about her country. I left a gift I had just bought for my husband at our Fes hotel and she arranged for her driver friends on other tours to bring it with them, so that it got to me in Marrakech before we left! She was amazing. Once a man in Casablanca was catcalling us and kind of following us down the street for bit, and she turned around and said something angry in Arabic and he walked away. Pretty bad*ss.

On our tour of Marrakech we stopped at little shops that women owned, which was surprising because it seemed like all the vendors were men. My favorite was a little tea/spice/sweets shop in the Medina where we got to taste everything and the owner even told our fortunes in the leaves of the spices. This was one of my favorite things, I never felt like I was in a sales pitch, I really enjoyed meeting shop owners and hearing about their lives, especially because so many were women.

I wouldn't go to Morocco if you want everything to go perfectly. There were some changes to the itinerary, things being shuffled around last minute, but our guide handled it perfectly and explained that every tour is this way because that's just how Morocco is. SoFe was amazing though - the trip, the people, the guide, the women we supported, the beautiful riads we stayed in. I will for sure travel with them again and recommend them to anyone who wants a real adventure!

I have been on two Meetup tours with this company, and honestly, both times I left saying it was the best trip of my life. I really appreciate that there is so much support before the trip, so you don't really feel like you are going totally alone because there is a WhatsApp group set up before the trip and also a private space in their community so you can meet other travelers and ask questions. I made some of my favorite friends on these tours, and I have already booked a third for later this year.

I have read some of these bad reviews here, and I don't get it. Travel is never totally perfect or smooth, but in my experience the guides and the team at SoFe totally take care of us and make things amazing.

I would not hesitate to go on one of these tours. They are super special and while it sounds a little cheesy, I would even say life-changing. I went on the Jordan and Egypt tours, and can't even say how much I loved it.

The women you travel with really help make the experience what it is. Some of my favorite moments were not included on the itinerary. Overall, I was happy to check this trip off my bucket list.

Not only can I rely on this site to meet other solo female travelers, but their tours are awesome! Jackie was there every step of the way during my trip I never had to worry about anything. I highly recommend them.

I attended the October India North India tour. This was my second group tour, but first one with SoFe Travel. Having travelled mainly solo for the past nine years and was looking for a different travel experience. This company was the perfect balance! India was somewhere I had looked into travelling to before, but with it being so vast I did not know where to start. This 11 day tour was the perfect introduction to India. As well as visiting sights on the beaten track (Taj Mahal, Amber Fort, stepwells), there were so many experiences that I would never have thought to visit ( countryside home stay, female empowered charities, block printing workshop).

With a local guide and driver the whole way, the stress of travel details was taken completely out of my hands. Our local guide, Sanjeeta, would host a very brief meeting every evening of the itinary for the next day. Sanjeeta was so knowledgeable, kind and organised. I felt 100% with her with us, which was important to me.

I loved travelling with four other like-minded women, all of us from different cities around the world with different life experiences. This made travelling India even better, it felt like getting to know new friends and making memories together. I am grateful to have met them all - with Sanjeeta, it felt like 6 friends exploring together. An experience I have never experienced before.

I would highly recommend this company, and this tour specifically.

Had a wonderful trip to Kenya. Each day was better than the last when I didn’t think it could get better. The accommodations were good, the tour director snd drivers were great, and the activities were perfect.

I had the most Amazing time in Romania. I knew that we were going to Bran's Castle however, I didn't know how epic this tour would be.. Our tour guide Daniela was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and Perfect.. She was so loving and caring. She taught me so much about Romania.
I love the included meals, however, I wish that the menu was not always set and I could order what I wanted in some places. I appreciated all the tours, my most favorite was to visit the Gypsies and Viscri.. This has been my 8th tour with SOFE and I loved all of them, however, this tour had to be one of my FAVORITES because of the Women on this particular tour. We all connected and all got along perfectly..

Traveling with like-minded, adventurous women and supporting women in the areas visited is what sets SoFe apart. This was my third tour with SoFe and everything was organized thoroughly, it was easy to just show up and go with the itinerary, and I felt part of a group of kind women.

I have done 2 tours now, Egypt and iceland and both were amazing. I love this group because they plan everything other than the flight. The guides are local and treat you like family. This year I was due to go on my 3rd trip, but found out I was pregnant and they put my deposit on another trip. This company has allowed me to travel safely as a female and make new friends.

Daniela was the best tour guide I have ever had, she was like family so knowledgeable, fun, and the coolest lady I have met in a long time. I truly enjoyed meeting all the ladies in the group and the personalized itinerary. The history, culture and landscape blew me away for Romania!

I love the mission of using women owned and local vendors. I was well matched with my roommate, always a plus. The guide was outstanding! The information/itinerary provided was educational and interesting, a good mix of activities, free time and down time. I got food poisoning at the end and everyone was amazing. And even tho that happened, I would do it all over again. Excited to take the next trip!

Overall, I had a great trip! Sanjeeta was a fantastic guide and really made the trip special! It felt like I was just touring India with a friend. I thought the itinerary was good, a nice mix of sightseeing and cultural experiences. My only negative feedback would be about the accommodation. I felt that the trip was advertised as having “luxury accommodations”and that the price we paid for the trip reflected the extra cost of staying at nice hotels. Unfortunately, I would only say the 3 of the hotels felt “luxury” and it left me wondering why the price point was so high. The hotel in Delhi was extremely outdated (paint peeling of the walls of the room, stained sheets and towels, and smelt a little moldy) my roomate had stayed there the night before and she was put in a much nicer room. So it was unfortunately very apparent that we had been placed in a basic room and I felt that with what we had payed for the trip, we should have been given the higher quality room. I felt the same about the hotel in jodhpur. The property was nice, but it was super apparent we were in the basic room option. Overall, I would absolutely book with SOFE again, I had a great time, I just wish the hotel rooms reflected the price point more.

Wonderful trip- best tour guide, great activities and food, and really got a good view of local culture and life. Plus I didn’t have to plan anything! I will travel with SOFE again!
