Cone artists hiding behind T&Cs
I see that I am not the first time who has been cheated by these guys.
Lure you in with a £1 trial for 3 months. Then you can't cancel online and they charge you for something you don't want.
Be cautious in falling into this trap.

In the 22 days before Jason Arday's death, 249 articles about him were published across 15 national outlets. The Telegraph, The Times, Mail and The Spectator alone published 146. The Sunday Times published revolting comments including ones suggesting that Jason Arday may have been a specialist in “black grifter chic” – these were later quietly deleted but it will not go away quietly.
Deterioration in quality of journalism
I used to find the Sunday Times an informative, balanced read. In recent times the quality of the journalism has deteriorated. The health stories are light on detail and obviously skewed to a particular viewpoint.
Like others, I have found it difficult to cancel my subscription.
Large increase in price
I'm old enough to want a (news)paper in my hands, not a computerised screen. It's simple enough. The price increase is over 11%. Anyone who puts up prices to that extent loses my custom.
Why not instead get rid of the pseudo-fashion 'Style' supplement, which seems to focus more on scarecrow wear rather than on tasteful, practical clothing & thereby reduce costs?
Fake News
Fake news. They wrote an article with lots of false information and couldn't even get my name right. The Sunday Times is the reason I don't trust the media anymore. Their 'researchers' were biased and happily misrepresented facts and gladly published false and misleading information.

Was on a 2 year digital only deal for £99 per year. First year fine, then on renewal, they cancelled my two year deal and tried to force me onto a more expensive subscription package. Completely dishonest and no respect for their readers.
I had to ring up to cancel
I had to ring up to cancel. That really sucks. I hate when companies do that because it's obvious you want to make it as hard as possible to cancel so people don't do it. Not only that, but I had to wait on the phone for awhile before getting through to a salesman who made it as difficult as possible to cancel giving me all these extra offers. That was also annoying as it showed that you could easily do the service at a lower price but you choose to charge a higher price. I even got offered £7.50 a month which was crazy. I declined because I was so annoyed at the fact that I was I could've been charged £7.50 but instead you would charge me £30 I think it's really bad you do that. I finally managed to cancel, but you've put me off ever using you again.
Cancellations!!
The wait times are insane, there's no other way to cancel other than over the phone and in this day and age that's very outdated.
Same as everyone else
Same as everyone else. Disgusting use of subscription tactics and phishing

It is not easy to cancel the subscription other than by phoning .
I was fortunate to be at position #1 in the queue. It took 7 minutes to be answered and there were a few attempts to dissuade me from cancelling ( offering half-price, etc) .
I just persevered and politely declined them.
In fairness, the representative was polite and efficient and I got an email confirmation of cancellation immediately.
Maybe I was ‘lucky ‘.
Too much stress for what should be a simple procedure done online with no fuss or persuasion to not cancel.
Currently impossible to cancel subscriptions
You can not cancel online, customer support refuses to process cancelations and the provided phone number hangs up automatically due to long queue
Preposterous cancellation process
The cancellation process is deliberately difficult. An absolute disgrace.
I feel that they intentionally make it…
I feel that they intentionally make it difficult to cancel their digital subscriptions. I went online to try to cancel and ended up speaking with an assistant via chat, who took a very long time to respond before finally telling me that I needed to call their 0800 number.
When I rang to cancel and asked why this extra step was necessary, I was met with emotional blackmail. The woman on the phone told me she used to be a teacher, that her school had closed, and that she was grateful to have a job, as if this justified the process. It was poor customer service. The harder they make it for customers to cancel, the more money they stand to make from subscriptions, and I feel that this is their primary motivation.
Note to self - do not subscribe again!
Scummy business practices
They intentionally hide how to cancel your subscription. You have to call up to do so which is just inconvenient.
I paid £1 because I wanted to read one article. The business model is hoping your forget before they start charging you a lot more in a few months.

I enjoy the Sunday times although the magazines are a bit rubbish with their content.always get a laugh with Rod Liddell . BUT I wonder do the staff editoria(?) realise that Northern Ireland is part of the UK.
Very few places mentioned in the Travel portion.Wales ..yes Scotland…of course and England too many times to mention. Pathetic I think!
Complete scam
Complete scam. All the other reviews are valid and this company is a complete joke.
Subscription Free Trial Scam - agent blamed Head Office
Lured into a free trial to read one article.
No reminders or bills sent out since. £26 taken today, called up immediately and cancelled. They're "unable to refund it" as "Head Office are really strict on refunding" as I didn't give them 2 days notice as per T&Cs. This can be translated as, "we know people will forget to cancel the free trial subscription and will not issue refunds, irrespective of whether they want to buy our product or not". Archaic practice, which virtually nobody follows anymore, with a complete lack of integrity.
New baby arriving in 4 weeks and, like everyone, feeling the strain financially. Not that they gave a monkeys. Rules are rules!

I cancelled my subscription to The…
I cancelled my subscription to The Times and The Sunday Times via email in early November, but they continued to charge me. Only later did I find out that they require cancellations to be made by phone – something that wasn’t clearly stated. This feels like a deliberate barrier to prevent users from leaving. Still waiting for a refund. Disappointing experience for what I expected to be a reputable publication.
ABSOLUTE SCAM
ABSOLUTE SCAM. I singed up for the 3 month trial and then made a note in the diary to call them before the end of the trial to ensure I wouldnt be charged beyond that date. They continued to take £26 every month for 8 months. I have called customer services a number of times to raise a complaint. They say that they received my cancellation call back in Aug and can see I havent accessed the subscription once since the free trial, but that they will not refund me. They say they've listed to the cancellation call and feel that it was made clear to me that I was in a 'cooling off' period at the time of the call and I needed to call back AGAIN to cancel. I was happy that Id cancelled it. So BEWARE - its very hard to get out of these trials once you're signed up. Im computer literate and organised, but imagine the amount of elderly people who are being CONNED by this scam. FURIOUS and now strongly dislike The Times.

Rip off cancellation process.Kept it delibrately complicated to rip off customers.
