Credit Card company charges £3 per Strikepay transaction
It is not made clear that you will be charged a fee & the credit card company consider it a cash transaction so go on to charge a cash transaction fee. As I wasn't buying cash I did not expect this. Total charges came to 50% of the tip! Won't be using Strikepay again..
In reply to Strikepay I have already contacted my credit company & on these 2 occasions they agreed to waive the transaction fee but they consider it to be a cash transaction & will charge the fee on further transactions with Strikepay. I think you need to communicate with the credit card companies to get this sorted out.

Hi Heather, thank you for letting us know this happened to you. it is rare but some banks do add an additional charge on some transactions. It was not strikepay who charged this. Either way this should not happen and we will get it refunded to you, as well as working with your bank to make sure that this doesn't happen again to you or any others. We want the payment process to be as seamless as possible, and as secure as possible. That is why we do not have an app to install and we do not save your payment details.
We currently support Apple Pay and Google Pay. These two method account for almost 9 out of 10 payments.
The big benefit of using Apple Pay and Google Pay is that Strikepay never get access to your payment details and we do not need to save your details. That is all handled on your own phone, making Strikepay the safest way to pay and tip in person or online.
We have been looking at other payment options, like Pay Pal, and as of right now, we have no plans to support Pay Pal in the near future.
Tip: Card users can securely save card details on the phone browser to stop you having to re-enter details very time.
