So to be fair we had a lovely breakfast with excellent service, but why let us have a £2 off a Breakfast Voucher on the App, then not let it work ?

Stonehouse the Woodend. was looking in the area for a carvery and found this online. what a lovely place to eat. ordered at the bar with the new app with a voucher on. but had problems using it and the wonderful lady on the till Morgan helped sort it out for me. what a wonderful person. sat at table 15 which is very close to the carvery station because my partner has mobility problems. the meat looked very good and hot. all the veg was well presented and also hot. all in all a wonderful meal. keep up the great work and well done Morgan.

The stonehouse (green tree) Hatfield is terrible, as a coeliac I basically had to sign a waver about cross contamination of food
We had the carvery the beef was the worse joint I have seen the centre was mostly fat the vegetables were cold and under cooked with the hot plate lights turned up so high to counter the cold vegetables that the serving spoons & tongs were to hot to hold
The gluten free gravy I had asked at the beginning of my order was not ready, I was told to leave my meal under a hot light to keep it warm while my gravy was made needless to say I ate my meal with no Garvey as it did not appear at all
Save your selves time effort and money do not bother with this place it’s awful

My family and I were really looking forward to having a nice evening meal, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing.

The first member of staff who served us had problems with the till and then told us they had no pizzas left. As most of my family wanted pizza, I couldn't understand how a restaurant could run out. I then asked another member of staff, who explained that pizzas were still available, but there would be a 30-minute wait. That was absolutely fine with us, but it would have been much better if we'd been told that in the first place.

My son-in-law wanted a salad, but we were told there weren't any available either, which seemed very strange.

Overall, the service was poor, communication was confusing, and the experience left us wishing we'd chosen somewhere else. This review is for the restaurant in Cotgrave. Sadly, it was not an enjoyable visit, and we won't be rushing back.

We visited the stonehouse carvery De Rodes Arms at Barlborough Chesterfield on Wednesday 1st July.
A party of 4, we arrived at about 17:35. after searching the internet looking for carveries.
When we arrived the place was almost deserted which was not a good sign but it was early so we decided to give it a try BIG MISTAKE. We got our drinks and paid for regular sized carveries at which point we were told there was no beef, only Gammon & Turkey, again we decided to go ahead as we had already got our drinks.
The meal was one of the worst any of us had ever had, the meat portion was small, considering there was no beef we thought the portion of the other 2 meats would be increased slightly but no. When one of our party mentioned this the person serving opted not to reply. All of the vegetables were way under cooked, tasteless and inedible, again when I mentioned the quality of the meal to a member of staff it was met with silence. Admittedly, I failed to ask for the manager which I should have done and if I had I may have got a proper response.
Needless to say None of us would ever go there again or recommend it.

Went to the stonehouse called Brittania in Liverpool along the docks. Lisa and Phil seved me. Very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return here. Well done to the staff

Had a nothing-to-write-home-about lunch at the Kings Arms near Catsfield, Battle on 31 May and have now received a £100 parking charge, 27 days after it was dated with a warning to respond within 28 days, leaving us 1 day to reply ... from eurocarparks ... accusing us of using the Kings Arms car park without authorisation. As this pub is in the middle of nowhere, where else did they expect us to park and, anyway, who else would park there if they were not intending to stay for refreshments or food? This pub used to have great food and good vibes until it changed hands and became Stonehouse, a mediocre outfit clearly with big pretentions. Not worth the money, nor the upset and aggravation.

In my opinion the manager of the tramway in cleveleys lancashire is
Belligerent, confrontational & rude.
No review of the food as we never got that far as we had to leave.
For future reference I will try to read reviews on establishments before taking my business to them.
Lesson learned

We go most weeks as cheap and cheerful, last night was the best we every had, could not fault anyone the food was spot on thanks Will.

3 weeks after dining we have received a fine for parking . the signage was non existent. I have phoned 7 times to try and sort it out but no one can be bothered to phone me back or answer the phone

Stone house should be utterly ashamed of themselves.
Promote themselves as the friendly cheap British Sunday roast, but now there regular menu is cheaper than the carvery the flagship selling point. Disgraceful to cash in the already struggling British public serving below par food.

got turfed off my table as I did nor realise it was reserved and left standing in the pub whilst the waitress continued to clean other tables, after waiting in the middle of the pub, I left as I found this rudeness and customer service terrible, I then received an email from “Sharon “ the manager saying I was indignant and just another “old lady” and basically my fault as it was my first time to this pub and I didn’t see the sign to say I would have to reserve a table! This is a Mitchell & Butler pub not a high class restaurant. Both the waitress and the manager needs to be retrained in customer service. We ended up in The Claude in Cardiff what a difference even though they were busy we got treated like a customer should and the service and food was on par with any Mitchell & Butler restaurant, I will write to the directors and maybe request retraining for their staff and buy them some reserved signs. I won’t be returning to that pub, as I’m not sure where they get their staff from but obviously from a place with no manners or suitable customer service.if I could rate this 0 stars I would.

How come the management did not see that they were running out of meat when you advertise that you are a carvery. No meat at 7.30 in the evening. What a joke.

I booked for 13 people on Tuesday, 3rd March, my birthday. When arriving at The Wilbury Stonehouse Carvery in Letchworth, the lady at the front of house told me that my booking had not been logged on to the computer. I had 'phoned the day before and spoke to a young lady, who, after a short conversation passed me onto a gentleman who said that he could accommodate that amount of people, but not all on the same table. Fine as we were all together in a raised area, one of my favourite seating areas. The second issue was with the portion size of the meat, i.e. half a very thin slice of each of the three selections (even my friend who chose two of the meats had half a slice and wafer thin)! Other than that the food was fresh and hot. The staff were very friendly.

Ordered at the table went to get our Vegetarian carvery and there was a queue of very unhappy people already waiting?
Nobody at the carvery NO MEATS which as veggies wasnt an issue a problem with the meast temerature anyways, we still waited 5/10 minutes while the people in front went to the bar no staff banging on the kitchen doors just to get someone to come out and explain what was happening or not as was the case, meat eaters all had refunds we had to serve ourselves.

On the plus side the food it self was very nice

Still hadnt had our drinks delivered when meals almost finished so get one of the staff to chase up our drinkers order which was quick and efficient AFTER we had to chase them up

Over all very poor for our first experience under newer ownership wont be rushing back

Went to the Barley Mow in Hayling Island to meet up with a friend. Delighted to find 3 hand pumps on bar, disappointed to find no beer on them.
No bitters at all, when I asked what bottled bitters they had, all I was offered was Newcastle Brown! Not only is that not a bitter, it is also not 1950.
Food looked good, and taste was ok, but veg was overcooked and it was all luke warm. Won't be rushing back there in a hurry.

The meat on the carvery was totally inedible, nothing but gristle and impossible to cut never mind try to eat

From time to time we go to the Shoreham branch in West Sussex, As I am vegetarian and they have not enough choice I end up with Supreme Veggie pizza however you cannot call it Veggie as it has one handful of tiny slices mushroom and 3 slices of red pepper, Each time I mention it the waitress says: I will pass it and again everything is the same.
