Old Girl learnt new Skills in submitting application

Your method in collecting all the information is great. The way it is set out is good. I feel that for people that have been stable in a home for years, there could be a notice of what is required before you fill in the required items. I was getting a bit overwhelmed with having to find all documents. bank statements etc. ( taking photos of what I needed as my phone wouldn't connect to laptop, so I had to send all needed items to email. then download so it was a process and I was becoming stressed.) My internet drops out and I was worried I would lose the application. But all worked out in the end. I like that you can have someone organise the transfer of Electricity gas etc. But I do not need this, I'm happy to do it myself. Thank You.

Mobile UI / First payment clarity

The user interface on mobile is clean, but doesn't scale very well. Buttons and areas were often squished or off the side of the screen.

Additionally, the wording used for the payment of the first month and bond was confusing. Made it seem as if the rent had to be paid immediately, and the bond needed to be paid once the agent submitted a link to the bond agency. In reality, bond needed to be paid immediately to the same details as the first months rent. This could have been made clearer that BOTH were IMMEDIATE, and both needed to use the same banking details.

Detailed and clear application

Applying for a house I liked on Snug was easy, and even though I felt like I had to give too many details about myself, it felt like Snug was being thorough. The steps were explained clearly, and all questions seemed logical. All in all, a good and organised experience with Snug

Snug made the rental process faster

Snug made the rental process faster and less stressful by allowing me to apply to multiple properties with one easy profile, and the clear updates on my application status were really helpful. The platform is user-friendly and saves a lot of time, especially when applying to several places at once. It would be even better if there was more visibility on agent response times to help manage expectations, but overall, it’s a great tool for renters looking to simplify their search.

I recently got my first apartment unit…

I recently got my first apartment unit through a snug application:) Everything was very smooth and easy, snug gave the chance to apply with no major difficulties . I also trust my documents and data’s through snug as it guarantees a safe space between the tenant and the owner. Snug gives me a real-time update on my application. Getting accepted through snug makes the process very visible, as I get too see each steps on what I should do on finalizing my agreement with the owner:) That is all, thank youu!

Embrace the tech to end the rental crisis

I think we need to embrace the tech to see it go in the right direction. By this stage we alittle past data collection. What they have on you wont harm but help you and you would offer as part of a normal application anyway.

I was a hard sell myself in the beginning but with further refinments and intergrations could be used for extreme good and go a long ewsy to helping the rental crisis. I have noited should they assist applicants further with scoreing revisions offewred to longer rental searched for those in the giid can start believing in the system again.

The govt is not going to do it for you in social housing it is done by provision of good busainess and its still in place to trackl the miudnight runers. Next step is extend its userbase by appealing to the masses anfd becomming a 'hero' of the crisis.

Those pushing for decent housing ane going to be working sooner and harder and thats a fact. Social housing and reliance on itwill destroy out long term housing sectors and knock out economys around with less working and spending because they dont need to.

Snug is very much in neautral ground now but seeing some of the features dissappear its time to look at the nexr step. RE uses rent tech all day and thats also a fact, the soober it is perfected the sooiner it can be used for good.

Theres room to add listijngs onto this andwith some spices have a decent go at realestate.com. But its donew through building a following. My view is at least this one tells you your score and you can see what affects it. While the competton is getting knocked around is the time to swoop..Like many others I spend my time after an exhaustive 6 months search looking at back ends and what isnt going to show me the same AI generated lists of duds for the 5 time today.

There is a suggestion here, use the same tech to end this practice of 'the ringaround'its keweping innocent out of hom,es and low standard business practices and people in. At the end of the day it is the only way to go to look after the renter, the prices go up pastr a boint both renter and investor tap out of at the same time and these homes WILL sit empty if commen sense dosent start leading the way. Use it for good put people in DECENT homes. Productivity up, people spending. For me with a week to go until uni goes back its very handy thing to have. PDF's are the slowest thing known to man to fill. Even writing them out is faster.

Lastly a welcome throwback to the old days of 'startups'in the tech sector is good to see and a aussie having a go it, just better to see then exactly...nothing thesedays and a sign for others out there to start innovating..

Awful website

Awful website. If you don't fit their neat little boxes for previous living history and income, then it's basically useless. It has prevented me from applying for a property I'm interested in, unless I enter two year's worth of where I've stayed during my extended travels - every AirBnB, campsite, etc. And for some places (eg housesitting) there is no available category.

Ask your agent if you can use 2apply.com.au or realestate.com.au instead.

Our experience with Snug has been efficient and informative, but needs smoother workflow

Our experience with Snug has been generally positive. We were fortunate to be selected by our preferred property manager, and the application process through Snug was informative and detailed and more so than what we found through TenantApp. Personally, I still prefer applying directly via realestate.com.au or domain.com.au, but Snug has proven to be a helpful platform overall.

The reason for the 4-star rating, rather than 5, is due to some technical issues we encountered. There were instances where previously uploaded documents were removed or went missing from our account, even though there were no changes on our end. This caused delays, as our leasing agent had to ask us to resubmit and reapply, which added unnecessary time and effort on our part. It was also unclear at times whether we had been shortlisted for a property, which added to the uncertainty.

That said, we do appreciate the usefulness of the Snug Match Score feature and it gave us helpful insights into our application strength and where we stood among other applicants.

Overall, kudos to the Snug team for developing a helpful tool that assists both renters and property managers. With a few improvements to the technical side, it could be an even better experience.

Highly Efficient and User-Friendly Platform

I was pleasantly surprised by the service – even though I wasn’t familiar with the platform beforehand, the entire process was user-friendly, efficient, and very well-organized.
