Disappointing

Like a lot of people here, I ordered for Christmas with a promised delivery before then. I messaged them and no reply. When they finally replied after Christmas, they were dismissive and didn't care. Terrible customer service and delivery. Given it 2 stars as the product seems ok. I wouldn't order again or recommend though.

Incredibly disappointing service

Incredibly disappointing service, communication and customer service attitude.

I ordered several boxes at the very beginning of December. After weeks of waiting for delivery, I repeatedly contacted them getting no response at all. They arrived far too late to gift and I had to buy other presents instead. Company eventually answered in a very unapologetic and dismissive way.

Sadly, I would avoid ever buying from them again.

Great product

I ordered at the end of November and the three boxes arrived as scheduled three weeks later. Two have been given as Christmas presents and I am growing the third, a blue oyster, which is just about ready to eat. The boxes arrived well packaged and protected and the instructions are clear an easy to follow. No problem with gnats. I suspect a lot are bought as presents so my only suggestion is that there is a little free spray bottle in every box rather then one per set: I found it underneath the inner grow bag almost by chance! I would recommend these kits if you want to enjoy growing your dinner!

SCAMMERS Take your money, Deliver Nothing

SCAMMERS subsequently found out they take your monies & deliver Nothing! Tried many, many times to get a resolution. DO NOT BUY FROM Smartmushrooms They Steal Your money. SCAM ARTISTS. Had to get 2/3rds of my money back through bank, thanks heavens for bank fraud lines!

Do not enter into any purchase with…

Do not enter into any purchase with this company. I saw these at a Christmas market in Bath and was advised to buy online as I didn't have the ability at the time to lug 3 boxes around with me. I ordered these on the 8th of December and a email with a packing label was sent the next day. This is via Evri. To date 12 days later Evri are still showing awaiting collection. Evri have told me that they have no instruction of yet to collect this package for distribution. The company are ignoring all emails and even have the audacity to spam mail me with care tips and growing tips for a kit they haven't even sent out. I am currently trying to do a charge back via my bank as they are completely unresponsive

This is a scam company.

Foolishly I didn’t check reviews before buying. This is a scam company. Paid for 3 kits on 10th Dec. Was sent a tracking number on the 12th but the order hasn’t never been handed over to the courier over a week later. I emailed and they replied saying it won’t be collected for a few days at least. This does not make sense if the order hasn’t been created & the label created. I’ve done a charge back on my bank card for the payment.

Would give it no stars if possible

Would give it no stars if possible, I ordered for a gift a month ago and have still not arrived! I’ve emailed and received no response.
I like to support small
Businesses on this occasion I would not recommend or use again.
I’m out of pocket financially and have no mushrooms.

fly infestation

for a while now my my house has been infested with small drain fly's. i have spent so much money on drain cleaners and the like but nothing stopped them coming (and i mean hundreds). finally found the source, i was this kit. i am disgusted!

What a sad experience

What a sad experience. I ordered Smart mushrooms for a fathers day gift which has still not arrived! I have emailed the customer help team and they have been slow at replying and asked me to phone Evri to ask where the package was, however I can see on the Everi tracking that they have not received the package. Despite this I have been asked by Smart Mushroom to print and sign a form stating I had not received this and despite asking for a full refund they have ignored this and said they can send me a new one. I support the little guy but this is not good customer care, I am still out of pocket with no product and no fathers day gift

Terrible!

Ordered 3 different mushroom grow at home boxes, only 1 had 1 lot of mushroom growth and they were not very tasty! The other 2 didn’t grow at all after 3 weeks they stink! Have contacted customer support etc no refund or new ones offered just told to soak them! Still no growth!! Messy and smelly and the small amount we had were chewy and tasteless!! Very disappointing!! Do not buy!

Zero stars

I would also like to have left zero stars like the zero help and support I got.
Purchased a kit for me dad and it never arrived. Contacted them and they said I had to contact Evi. Evi is uncontactable and I told them this so they ignored me, but I tried and it said delivered on an auto service so I contacted unsmart again and they ignored me. I contacted again and someone did reply with a patronising reply and offered another kit.
I’d specifically requested a refund as I’ll never deal with these people again.
I’m still trying to get it. They are just shocking!!

Home Grown Harvest…

The shrooms arrived and I had lots of questions.contacted the team was bombarded with information.The yield of crop was absolutely fantastic.They are starting there second growth of shrooms now cannot wait . Absolutely fantastic product pick fresh from your own home.Great for children and Adults watching your own crop grow.

Package did not arrive

Placed an order on the 10th of June, that was supposed to arrive in time for Father’s Day. Today is 19th and still no package. Contacted the company about it on the 17th, no answer , even though they say will get a reply within one day. I just want a refund now. Waste of time.
So no, I would not recommend.

If I could leave zero stars I would

If I could leave zero stars I would. Had a really disappointing experience with this company. My son (out of his own money) bought a kit for Father’s Day for his stepdad. The first kit came and the box was smashed in, not really an issue but the front panel was missing, the panel that you take off ready to grow. When we lifted the bag out of the box, it was black, I checked online and it shouldn’t have been black mould. I contacted the company and they said yes it’s contaminated and sent a replacement. I asked nicely if could def recheck before sending as was coming the day before Father’s Day, I was assured they would.

The box came 2 days later, the box was fine and no missing parts. Sadly, as we took the bag out it was exactly the same. So much black mould. As we were advised to throw away the last box due to contamination, we did the same. Having sent pictures, we were told it’s not contaminated!! Even though it’s exactly the same as the first box.

Whatever machine is used to seal the bags at the top, is also damaging the bags meaning air is getting in before you are ready to grow.

I’ve been refused a refund. £22 may not be much to most, but it is to my son, I’m so annoyed and hope this is taken seriously.

I wish I could attach the photos as proof to you all. Please don’t waste your money.
