We have been using Similarweb for 2 years now and it is a fantastic platform for agencies and SaaS companies to understand the market they are targeting. We get insights on our prospective clients website performance and get contact details for key decision makers to begin discussions at the top of our sales funnel. The management of our account is excellent with Brett Bartholomew helping us get the most out of the tools by enabling my team through training and insights.

The site uses a dark/deceptive pattern for its onboarding/sign-up and does not allow the user access to any features or the site itself until payment information is entered.

I did not enter my payment information to access the site as I cannot trust a business that uses such practices.

I just wasted 5 minutes, for nothing and now need to look elsewhere for a tool that actually offers a free trial. This ain't it.

I opened an account with the intention to test the free trial. Most functionalities I was interested (e.g. backlink analysis) to test were not available in the 7 day free trial and customer service (chat) was rude/did not seem to care. I went with the competitor Ahrefs, who allowed me to test all functionalities I needed for free. When I tried to delete my account, I needed to confirm this request by clicking on a link in an e-mail they send. When I clicked on that link, I was forwarded to a page "400 bad request". I have not yet tested whether my account still works. But it added just to a poor impression about this company.

UPDATE Dec 22-
I received a prompt response to this review as all can see. I did use the email provided. My inquiry was forwarded to the billing department & I received an email would be reversed. Indeed the reversed charges showed in my account within days.
I am pleased & grateful with the quick response & resolution; however, I would be remiss to the community here if I did mention that no reason for the original charge was given. Since I have never none any business with this company, I still have no idea how they had access to my credit card information.

a fraudulent charge showed up on my Visa for nearly $500. I had my Team check and we have never done business with this company before. I went online to try to find out you know from the merchant what was going on? They have offices all over the world, but not one single phone number only a web form to talk to sales. I don’t care what trust pilot says that’s a scam

J'ai été contacté via telegram pour liker des affiches et être ainsi rémunéré. Mais avant de liker, il faut prépayer "le travail", c'est à dire miser une certaine somme. À la fin des tâches, on touche un bénéfice et si on tombe sur un ticket premium ou bonus on encaisse encore plus.
Par contre ce qu'on ne nous dit pas c'est qu'on peut tomber sur un ticket bonus qui vaut 6000$, et si vous avez misé 300$, vous devez régler la différence pour empocher ces 6000$.

À ce jour j'ai plus de 20000$ qui est bloqué. J'ai accompli toutes les tâches demandées (je passe les détails qui ont fait que j'arrive à ce montant).
La personne du soit disant service client qui s'appelle Alice qui devait me débloquer cette somme ne répond plus à mes messages sur WhatsApp.
La personne qui m'a mis en contact avec ce service client qui s'appelle Katherine, elle n'ont plus ne répond plus à mes messages. Et personne ne me dit ce qui se passe.

J'ai réussi à trouver un autre contact sur la plate-forme de SIMILARWEB et la bonne blague. On me dit que les fonds sont bloqués parce que mon adresse IP a été détecté comme frauduleuse. Si je veux débloquer les fonds, je dois d'abord régler 6262,28 $.

Ce que j'aimerais comprendre est que vous croyez que les gens roulent sur de l'or ? Que nous ramassons l'argent comme des petits cailloux ?
Toutes mes économies sont passées à force de rajouter toujours de l'argent.

Pour toutes personnes qui sera contacté par cette société pour travailler pour eux, fuyez les comme la peste. C'est une vraie arnaque, on trouve toujours un problème qui bloque les fonds afin que vous ne puissiez pas les encaisser.

Fuyez les c'est de l'arnaque.

Siimilarweb is extremely helpful in conducting benchmarking of competitor websites across various dimensions including web traffic and visitors data. It also helps analyse your own/client domains strengths and lag areas better. The UI is intuitive and thus requires minimal live training.

Was a good session with Izzy. We are in a low usage period of SW now, but should pick back up Q1 next year. Good to always find out new things coming out and ways to access information that we may not frequently look for - esp when things can get a bit rusty after not using it for some time.
