Ordered a large order of shutters that…
Ordered a large order of shutters that were all made to measure with each window being different. When I got the so called professional call back to discuss my order they managed to convince me to change all the shutters to the same size in each room. This was a major inconvenience to my builder and after a heated conversation with the shutter store. They cancelled the order without explanation. Wasted our time big time and have gone else where now. Avoid this company.

Dear Garry,
I understand you were working alongside a customer who authorised and confirmed these changes without discussing with yourself, however we were acting on the permissions of the account holder.
When reviewing the order, our team flagged that the shutter heights within the same room did not match. As part of our standard process, we always contact customers to highlight any measurement inconsistencies so we can help achieve the best possible final look. After discussing this with the customer, he confirmed that you understood the recommendation and agreed to update the sizes. We then sent a confirmation email outlining the revised measurements, and the order went into production once approved .
When you contacted us the following day requesting to revert the measurements, the order had already progressed past the point where changes could be made. At that stage, the only available option was for us to request a cancellation with the factory so a new order order with different measurements — which we arranged for you as soon as possible.
We’re sorry that this process caused frustration, and we appreciate how important timing can be when working alongside tradespeople. Our goal is always to ensure customers receive shutters that fit correctly and look consistent once installed.

I've always had great service from The Shutter Store as I have made multiple orders as we do up our home. My most recent order was for a relative who had admired the shutters in our home and wanted them in their bathroom (that we refitted for them). I wanted to make a special mention to Ellie who went above and beyond when I contacted the office to ask whether the shutters could be shipped faster (as express shipping had been suspended over Christmas) and she did all that she could to get them manufactured and shipped sooner and kept me informed along the way. Thanks to her we were able to get the shutter installed just a few days later than hoped, rather than several weeks (based on the shipping time when we ordered). My relative is absolutely delighted! Thank you so much Ellie. :)

Very poor customer care
I ordered shutters and entered the correct measurements of the windows. On arrival one of the shutters was too big.
On contacting the company, i was advised that i should have deducted 4mm from the measurements.
They advised that i should have downloaded the measurements guide. This i was NOT clear when placing the order or on the measurement guide, as there were 2 guides and only one guide stated on 1 line to deduct 4 mm.
The company was very dismissive, very unhelpful and did not accept any feedback or liability for this poor ordering guide.
As a result i will not be using or recommending this company. I would suggest a n alternative site.

Our measuring guides do explain the required clearance deduction, and we also provide an optional call‑back service for customers who would like us to go through their measurements in detail before production. This can be selected during checkout, and many customers choose it for extra reassurance.
In your case, we contacted you to discuss a potential issue we noticed on your order, as we always try to highlight anything that may need checking before it goes into production. This would have been a good point for us to go through any areas you were unsure about, but as a full check wasn’t requested and the order was confirmed by you, we proceeded based on the information provided.
We’re genuinely sorry that you found the guides unclear — we take all feedback seriously and we continually review our resources to make them as straightforward as possible. Your comments will absolutely be passed on to our documentation team.

The perfect choice for shutters.
From the initial search of various websites and deciding on using the Shutter Store and right through the whole process I wasn’t disappointed. My order was followed up with a phone call from the company to verify the order and give valuable advice on amendments which was easily completed over the phone. The shutters arrived extremely well packed and I was blown away by the workmanship and quality. I managed to fit the shutters with no dramas and I am over the moon with the result.
