Ordered paint from Screwfix on 28.03.23 and went to my local branch at Chester le Street today 29.03.23.
Greeted by a friendly team member who took the time to explain about the app and which button to press on arrival. Order arrived within 2 minutes. Another friendly team member helped me carry the heavy paint to my car.
Excellent service from all staff members st this branch of Screwfix. Well Done on making the collection easy for a disabled pensioner collecting an order for his son.

What marvellous customer service Screwfix give. I had an issue with a e-gift voucher today. Excellent help and service in the Longford store but Helen she was just magnificent and sorted out my issue within minutes. So helpful and efficient. Screwfix you are really lucky to have someone of Helen's ability and understanding of what customer service is. I am sure you know already but what an asset she is for your company. Thanks Helen and the Longford team, I got my purchases and was a very satisfied customer of Screwfix

Sick of turning up and constantly being told items aren't in stock, why advertise them if you don't have them? I won't be wasting anymore time with you unfortunately, there's other suppliers that can be trusted.

Surprised at the amount of negative reviews here. My experience of screwfix has been hugely positive. I recently bought a house and have been doing a lot of work on it. I must have been into screwfix every other day for the past two months and spent hundreds there. It's selection and prices can't be beaten. The staff are really helpful and the one or two times I needed to return something it was no problem. I definitely recommend this chain and I will keep coming back.

Bought a tile cutters that broke , the card I paid for it with was from Ulster bank which no longer exists in the Republic of Ireland, they said they can’t refund my money with my new card which seems odd , they can only credit my account which I don’t want , deleting my account when it’s sorted

Contrary to many reviews here Ive had a brilliant experience with Screwfixes' online store.

I bought tote boxes, some of which arrived damaged (the packaging was a bit flimsy and DPD are a bunch of apes when it comes to handling parcels).

The boxes were replaced and dispatched to me for no extra cost with very little questioning and done incredibly quickly. Would highly recommend!

I liked Screwfix in the UK. I like being able to see what prices I am going to pay up front. That is a rarity in Ireland. Even with webpages devoted to companies many will list their products and not their prices.

So even before I buy, I know where I stand with the company and there is none of this stupid "mention that Harry sent you" and such like that leaves me with the feeling that with a lot of other companies here if I didn't know Harry, I am a mug ripe for being ripped off.

Service was good, I used the Limerick outlet last and both a technical and also payment oriented phone query was answered and sorted with the same efficiency that I have long experienced with their branches in the UK.

I paid for a couple of batteries that were in stock and picked them up. It was that simple.

So I will certainly be using their stores on a regular basis, in particular as we now seem to have one in Tralee.
Such a shame that so few other places in Ireland allow you to price a shopping trip before you put the key in the car or require you to phone for a price that can be totally different when you put a supplier on hold to find your debit card!

No problems with screwfix as I buy alot from them,only issue I have is the couriers they use,they seem to dump your package outside with no contact,had a number of packages damaged at this stage,sort it out screwfix,or you lose a very good customer

I ordered 2 dehumidifiers for click and collect. One week later I hadn't received an SMS so I called them and they said they could see it's in transit and will arrive that day but it never didn't.

The next week I called them again and they said it was marked as fulfilled even though I never received an SMS. They put me on hold to call the store and afterwards said the store manager will investigate what happened and call me back.

I never got a call back so when I called again they put me through to the store. They told the order isn't in store so best to wait will end of next week to see if it arrives.

A couple days later I received an email saying I will received a refund. I never asked for a refund so I called again to figure out what happened. They told me I'm getting a refund because the item is not in stock. I ask why they say it would arrive when it's not in stock. They said the order can show that it's in transit even when it's not.

The takeaways from this:
1. Just because it says in stock and they accepted payment doesn't mean it's in stock and you'll get your item
2. If you call them, they have no way of telling if the order will even get to the store
3. They don't care about their customers enough to call them back

Beware purchasing/owning an eGift card for Screwfix as it can ONLY be used by attending a store and purchasing goods in the store. Unbelievable that a company this big is unable to offer gift card payments online. It is not even available for Click & Collect!

Items adverised are not available for delivery or collection. Like in that famous Jewish joke where they sell cheaper when the item is not available and expensive when they have it :) My personal opinion is that such adds are far from any business ethics … to sell something you do not have and you even do not know when you will have it, and what will be the price… Everybody can open a web site and sell things he do not have … You can check yourself , item code is 4687V. Item is not available for delivery and collection, and the customer support have no idea when Srcewfix will have it and what will be the price for - when they have it back in their stock.

I walked into Screwfix Longford this evening at 5.58pm. I had rushed to get there and I realse it was last min on a Sunday evening. I needed a can of expandable foam. Small and handy item to dispense and pay for. I only got inside the door when a girl shouted to me 'Sorry, we're closed" it was echoed immediately by her male colleague. Website said store was open until 6pm. I told them this but it made no difference. Very disappointed as due to work, I won't have an opportunity to get what I need until next weekend. As I turned to drive away, they were out with the door locked. Poor customer service and will not be returning. In my place of employment I couldn't do this to a customer because I care.

Great store in Galway city. Staff very good and knowledgeable, so helpful even when I had a lot of questions.

The have stolen from me half order I have paid...
I recie only half of the product's
it is a stealers company.
I highly recommend to stay away from that shop.
Don't buy anything online....
Don't pay them anything before you receive product.
It's a fake company .....

I bought a Aqualisa shower in Screwfix Roscommon on Friday evening,I should have known something was wrong as it took 20 minutes to dispatch it as the manager had to override the system as it would not dispatch. Fitted the mixer unit on Saturday and tested it and it leaked badly. Rang customer service Monday and they sent me to Longford to just replace the mixer unit. Did this all OK. Went to fit the slider bar and there were 3 main parts missing.Now have to go back to Longford which is a 3 hour round trip. This unit was obviously returned before and just put back in stock.

Purchased basin mixer tap. In use appeared very hard to adjust the flow, open and close.
Very, very noisy. The tap was described as suits high/low water pressure. My is 3 bars via booster pump.
Sent complain through online form. No answer for two weeks. Rang Customer Service. The Staff Member was very bored. However agreed return and promised to send free return label on my email. Label never came. I wrote email to Customer Service asking for my label. No answer again.
Avoid!!!

Screwfix Ireland website orders come from the UK and there is no warning.

Chris from support was unhelpful, ended chat randomly 3 times and seemed to not pay attention. Probably at home playing playstation and ignoring customer issues.

i order sunday 11/09/22 one tools ,i trayed to call and i received answer about my colection its not posible to get ready iet ,i hav to colected only in thuesday ........ afternoon 3 ,4 clock ...........this is not first time whit screwfix very bud experience i hav whit this company

I purchased a Triton shower from the online site, it had an issue after a few months. They asked me to return it.

They shipped a new version, it did not work either. I've now paid €260 for plumber fees (not including originally installation fee) which they will not cover, in fact they would not even respond to my email.

I returned both faulty showers to the Limerick shop & they tried to refuse return because there was some water in the shower pipe. Eventually I got a refund but it was done under duress after me offering loudly in a busy shop to take the product outside the door & drain the water. He said yes please do that, fortunately a manager intervened at that point & stopped him.

Had I purchased from an Irish retailer Triton Ireland would have sent a service engineer to repair but they will not cover products imported by Screwfix.

I won't be trying to save a few Euro in future & will stick with the Companies that provide support even at a premium price, lesson learned!!

I only used Screwfix's customer collection service.
