Fool me ONCE!!!
My insurance company told me I had to use Safelite after I chose a local mom and Pop. I didn’t know any better so I agreed and now I have water intrusion all over my dash and after consulting with my insurance company they said they recommended but they didn’t tell me I must choose them. No one‘s come out to fix the issue and now I have to hire an attorney. I found out later that Safelite has a financial agreement between my insurance company and many others to funnel business directly to them. Don’t be a fool.

Lifetime warranty declined for claiming after 30 days
My wife had Safelite replace her windshield. We've been to them a few times and like the "Lifetime Warranty" promise. A couple of weeks later she heard a whistling from the top of the windshield at high speeds. She took it in about two months after the repair and the manager rudely refused to fix it, saying she only had 30 days to bring it in. Of course it doesn't cost Safelite any more money whether you bring it in 30 or 60 days after the problem arises. It's just a way to reject warranty claims and still market a Lifetime Warranty.

My experience them with Safelite was horrible
My experience them with Safelite was very negligence. I had to be rescheduled three times in order for my windshield to be fixed. There were also derogatory comments that align with racial comments being made by a worker that was very unprofessional. I’ve reached out to their corporate office several times to try to get this handled. Spoken with several managers that have ghosted me not followed up with me. Made me feel as if I wasn’t a priority. Left me having anxiety attacks, insomnia, where I can’t sleep. I had to go to the hospital. They didn't leave a good lasting impression for a company that is as big as them to assist me in my problems.
DO NOT USE SAFELITE
Went to fill a small chip in my windshield and left with a blob where the chip was and two cracks in my windshield.
Manager stood by his mumbled 15 second disclaimer while taking the keys when he should have told me that the chances of leaving with it looking far worse were high!

This company is trash
I wish I would have read the reveiws..I scheduled an appointment to get my windshield fixed that was hit by a rock. The area was round and the size of a pencil eraser. A technician came to my home for the repair, when he left I had the same rock indention along with a crack windshield that traveled from one side of the car past the rearview mirror. I was told they could not repair, only replace for $900 and they could give me a $200 discount. They are scams and left me in a worse situation.

NO Human interaction
When you call, you cannot talk to a person, only a digital voice that wants all your info to schedule an appt, or they reference you should go to a computer and enter your info to make appt, again, no human interaction. Taking my service needs to another vendor. Won't be back in the future.

I wish I could give ZERO....This place SUCKS!!!! If you value your time or your vehicle dont take it here. You cant even talk to the store when you call. You have to go through a person off site. They have tried to call the store 5 times and could not get a hold of anyone for me!!!!! Be there at 7:30 they say...so I was.....Second car there......10 am car still has not moved......Lies Lies Lies Good luck trying to get an update on your car.......OFF SITE customer reps sure book your appointment, but are completely RUDE when trying to get a hold of the shop...I could keep going about this shop but don't want to waste anymore of my valuable time on this crappy business....LONG STORY SHORT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ANYWHERE BUT HERE....THIS PLACE SUCKS...Look at the reviews, I wish I did!!!!!

I have used Safelight many, many times and was impressed each time....until now. I've had at least half a dozen rock chip repairs, one full windshield replacement, and a passenger back glass replacement on different cars. I scheduled a rock chip repair for a Tues. I scheduled this for when I was at work since it’s closer and I've had excellent dealings in the past. The confirmation received from Safelite said they would be there between 8a-5p for the service. They called after 8a to tell me that I was #9 on the list but hey, at least I wasn't his last appt. I get off work at 4 and asked if he would be there before then he said no, I said ok I would wait. When 5:14 came, I called and he said he was still on #7 and 25 miles away. I said I was going home and he told me he would have them add me to the next day, Wed, for the morning. Wed came and another tech called after 8a to say that he had a full day but I was added to his schedule. I told him I get off at 4 but would wait for him. He came around 4:27 and asked if there was somewhere to put it out of the sun, I said yes I can move a car from the bay of the shop in back; it would only take a min. He said no worries I'll cool the glass off before the fix, that it should be fine. I offered 2 more times saying it was no bother at all to move the truck. He said he would move the truck around, away-facing the sun and it should be fine. He then called me at 4:48 and I said, oh are you already finished? He said yes he was. When I got outside he didn't say a word but when I looked up at the windshield, it was cracked. I said oh you cracked it? He said yeah it's rare but happens sometimes, and would I like to schedule a full windshield replacement at my own cost? Uh absolutely not. If you're not liable for any repairs you make and break the new windshield while installing it, am I out another cost of replacement for that as well?
I would not allow a Safelite tech to touch my vehicle after these 2 experiences and neither should you. I understand that these things happen, I really do. However I now know that these techs are severely overscheduled and are trying to do more repairs in the day than they have time for. It was also apparent he didn't want to take the time to move the vehicle. I should have known better when all the red flags started to appear that this company doesn't stand by the 8-5 rule and scheduled it for home repair and just waited at my house all day for them, maybe it wouldn't have been so rushed. This company used to be so good and I would tell everyone to use them. Now I wonder if they truly even care if the repair goes well, because they're not liable for it at all, and they get a new windshield replacement (at my cost) for the company. I will NEVER use Safelite again, EVER. Not for free rock chip repair, paid repair, replacements, NOT even if they paid me personally.

Avoid Safelite!!!!!!
I had my vehicle windshield replaced at the the Safelite location near me. The quality of the glass product installed was acceptable, however the quality of the installation was terrible. The vehicle was returned to me with dirty hand prints and marks on the beige headliner, a greasy substance on the passenger leather seat, a pinched wire/ cable on the plastic mirror mount cover, uninstalled cowl securing fasteners, improperly installed fender well boots that attach to the cowl, and a broken alignment pin that I found in my center console. Not only was the quality of the installation subpar, they did not fully reinstall the vehicle components nor were they honest in reporting that they broke a plastic component. It happens. I know, I have worked on vehicles for 60 plus years. This company should be avoided like the plague. These issues were reported to Safelite through their satisfaction survey and no response has been received to date.
Shoddy work and terrible customer service
I had two chips in my windshield repaired last year in Everett, WA. Both repairs were done poorly and didn't even look like any repair was made, however I was told that the cost of the repairs would be deducted from the replacement cost if either chip started spreading. Recently I noticed that one of my chips had started to spread, and called for a replacement estimate. I decided to pay out of pocket rather than have my insurance premiums go up for another claim on the same damage. I was told that if I paid out of pocket, that I would have to pay the full price of the replacement rather than get credit for the shoddy repairs. They do terrible work, and have awful customer service. I will never use or recommend Safelite again.

I went on line to get a quote to fix one small crack in my motor home windshield and your quote was ridiculous $165.00 for a very small repair when I know you have a safelite person right here in my small town of Pine AZ, which I have used before, then you send out a 15% discount for me to use you for the repair which is still to much. This kind of price gouging is unacceptable and will certainly take my business elsewhere I will make sure I spread the word about your ridiculous pricing for repairs here in Payson and Pine. No wonder the insurance premiums are so high when your billing the insurance companies these outrageous prices.I worked for Progressive for 21 years back when they gave safelite their start in the industry using them exclusively. Like a lot of companies money changes people and greed takes over and unfortunately they forget about true customer service and fair industry practices. This has pushed me to use the smaller companies when replacing windshields or repairs for a 3rd of the cost and most cases and better customer service.

Tech cancelled appointment the morning…
Tech cancelled appointment the morning the repair was to be made. He said my home was out of his service route radius. After several hours of unsuccessfully trying to find the safelite store’s phone number on line, I had to call my insurance company who then placed me on a 3 -way call with shop. The manager said I was 10 minutes out of the repair zone and could not make the appointment.

Pebble cracked my windshield and shocked by safelite
Pebble cracked windshield of my 23 Rav4. Impressed by their tv commercials, I went right to their website for an estimate. The price was so incredible I had to call them to comfirm the on line price was correct. I was told that I had to book the service appointment in order to be provided with the total / correct price. the correct price turned out to be 10 times more. The recycling fee for the windshield was .... ready for this .... $400.00. as such, you can imagine what the other items added up to. I will never use them and recommend staying away from them. the last thing you need is a surprise.

They damaged my convertible top to the point that it would no longer close.Safelite lied to the insurance company, my car was old, and my top didn’t work after returning 5x to hear lies from manager Justin, who lies as he breathes.
Advocate: CA Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) ww.bar.ca.gov, who wasn’t surprised by Safelite's incompetence and documented that my car is in perfect working order, and directed me to professional resources. Contacted CBS for a story reaching 5 million; they had so many complaints about Safelite, they didn’t know where to start. They send complaints to BAR.Safelite is currently being sued by multiple states, including CA. Poorly rated with millions of complaints across the nation.
Local respected vendor, took one look, wasn’t surprised it was a Safelite cockup, and in 20 minutes had the problem solved. Safelite techs, manager, and quality assurance don’t have the bandwidth in brain cells to put the parts they should never have touched back in the right place.

3rd appointment scheduled for…
I have my 3rd appointment scheduled for this upcoming Friday. The first was canceled as I was told because the replacement came in scratched. The second one in Okemos Mi a longer drive of 40 min. was today and I was told after sitting there for an hour and a half for my scheduled appointment that they were missing a part (windshield wiper heater) and need to reschedule. Had no empathy at all, was curt and short and seemed to not care at all. The manager never came out. They have a monopoly right now and it’s showing. The insurance company claims that push you to them have do the work has closed a lot of the small competitors. You can’t even get anyone in corporate on the phone. One of the worst experiences as a customer I have ever had.

Poor service, poor management. shitty excuses, scheduled two weeks in advance
I scheduled the home install two weeks in advanced. I set time aside and had cancelled appointments and work to make sure this would take place. This morning I received a call that they would not be here. The excuses given, the windshield did not arrive, it may have been cracked, it may be on back order. This was at 7:38am, I then received an email confirming that the installer would be here and I would receive a call of the exact time. I called and talked to management (Moriah) who gave more excuses and said she would get back to me with a reason etc. No call back was received. (11am). I then contacted another company who has a better reputation and explained their process etc. I am not scheduled with this company for Friday. For all the advertising that Safelite does guaranteeing their service etc - never would I recommend Safelite for any type of work. Poor service, lots of excuses and just not reputable to conduct work to a satisfactory experience. Choose another company and read reviews.

Got a quote and when the guy got here…
Got a quote and when the guy got here he was going to charge more for calibrating the camera. This was not needed on my car so I told him to leave. Went back to my local shop and was told his computer said I was right and calibration is not needed. They sent another guy out and the same thing happened. Told the guy to get out. Now I am banned from SafeLite and all I can say is Thank God. Don't bother with them. Getting it done elsewhere for $207 less.
