Wow they are so bad now.

Wow, this place has really gone downhill. I’ve been here before, and while that visit wasn’t great, this time was even worse. I dropped my car off at 9 a.m. and was told it would be ready by 4 p.m.—then 6:30 p.m.—yet at 7:15 p.m. it still wasn’t finished. We ended up missing our dinner reservations because of the delay.

If I had read the recent reviews, I would have gone elsewhere—there are plenty of one-star experiences just like mine. The service is completely unacceptable. I strongly recommend trying a different location or another company altogether. Safelite has truly hit rock bottom.

Go with another glass company

I have fought this company based in Pensacola FL, to refund me on a rear view mirror that their technician broke. It could not easily be replaced and the only one that would fit had to be ordered by Nissan. It was $130- not aftermarket part. I went 2 weeks without the mirror waiting for the part. I had tried countless times to contact them and they said they would refund it since I had the photos and invoice. Nothing yet. Allstate can’t even get them to refund me. Been since May of 2023. I did worry about the integrity of the windshield sine the tech was obviously incompetent. I did not know that you can use the glass company of your choice and insurance will pay them. Don’t waste time and stress on Safelite.

Safelite Misdirection

After windshield was replaced, the overhead console rattles. Scheduled 10/09/25 visit in-shop for warrantied repair, but due to heavy rain & schedule upsets there, we agreed to a mobile visit 10/13/25 between 8AM -1PM. After they did not show, call or message, I called & was told the appt was canceled 'due to a glitch.' Further, recalibration must be done at the shop. When I pointed out that a rattle requires NO CALIBRATION, they offered yet another trip to their shop. NO MORE MOBILE APPTS available for a rattle!

I needed a rear window replaced

I needed a rear window replaced. I made an appointment, the tech showed up, looked at the smashed window, and called his office. he said that they had ordered the wrong part. Interestingly, since my car only has one body style, there can be no confusion between coupe and sedan. The tech said that he could come back in two days and complete the work. The quote soared from $650.00 to $1,225.00 in two days. It appears that this is a classic bait-and-switch. Thankfully, our trusted mechanic recommended an independent glass man who came out the next morning, did the work, and it cost me 1/2 the original $650.00 quote.

Safelite Worst Company in the Business

I wish I had seen these reviews before I called these incompetent crooks! They are the absolute worst company in the business! This is not an old review either, im currently dealing with the incompetent morons as i speak now! They have come out 4 times, cant even install a windshield without defects, the company is so disorganized, they never know what the drivers are doing, they hire people that have no experience and dont know what they are doing. The pricing is crooked, the communication is the worst. They will schedule,cancel, reschedule, cancel, change dates, change times, a barrel of monkeys run that dump. I would avoid EVER using them, even if its free...and if it is free they do even worse work!! Truly the worst company, its no wonder they have a 1 star rating!!! Complete joke!!

Average service

Overall the attention was great, they repaired our glass in just a bit less than 1 hour. Giving them the 4 stars instead of 5 because just then they let us know that if the regulator was broken then they wouldn’t be able to fix our glass.

1. We provided the details of the issue through the website.
2. We traveled close to 2 hours to get there.
3. They tell us if the regulator’s broken they won’t fix the glass. They don’t do regulators anymore, they won’t recommend a mechanic who does it either.

So. In the end the service was good, but the anxiety of not knowing what’s going on sucks. They should provide these kind of details in the quote. The receptionist who saw us also seemed to have no clue of what we were asking.

Safelite A No Show

I set an appointment to have my wife's Toyota windshield replaced. They were supposed to arrive between 7 & 11 AM. The days prior to the appointment I was inundated with emails prompting me to be ready. They never showed. Someone called at 1:32 PM to say they might be out tomorrow. I fired them and hired another auto glass company.

My name is Buddie Patton and this is my sad review on Safelight.
It started with me making an appointment online like they requested.I set an appointment 1 week in advance to insure I would be close to 1st one of the day ! The time frame was 8-12 am.
The day of the job was 9/17/2025.
At 7:48am a Safelight tech called and said he would be to me by 11am. Not exactly first thing. Well at 11:30am I called the tech to see where he was and he answered 12:30 pm or later!!. Now he then had his store manager call me,sorry can't do it till Saturday or the following week !!! Now I will repeat I made my appointment a week earlier!!. So I call customer service and they treated me like I was bothering them !!. The best she could was say sorry and I will email the district manager "Markus Clark ". Well I know that aload of crap so I hung up! So I tried my luck once moreand spoke to a lady that was at the very least awake, and she tried so hard to resolve my problem, but everyone she she spoke with basically told her to F off!! Soo she put me thru to Markus Clark's Boss ,because I must my scared him away, even though I did not speak to the idot ! Than his boss pissed me off so bad l can't even tell you his name! Safelight has figured out if they say SORRY enough that in some dumbassed way would work. So sh-thead, cried and actually hung up on me!!
It may have been after I told him that Safelight is probably going to be the next Rite-Aid! Safelight has 559 million in assets, but has 591 million in debt !! Hmm go figure!
Well long story boring, I called a local glas Company and the will happily do it tomorrow, PLUS, I saved 200 dollars! SAFELIGHT SUCKS and Markus if you are out there please call me at (302)540-5475!!

I traveled 4 hrs to look at and purchase a 1990 Buick Reatta. I was told that there were no issues with this car. Upon arriving and first laying eyes on the vehicle I observed it had a crack in the front windshield. The crack was located in the center of it and went from the very top all the way to the bottom. I phoned my wife at home and asked her to call a windshield replacement service to find out how much and if a replacement windshield was still available. She picked Safelite and apparently reached their central business center. She was told that yes, it was available and the cost would be $1360. before tax. Based on this information I made the decision to purchase the car. I towed the vehicle home and the next day before contacting Safelite to make the appointment I phoned six (6) other windshield replacement services in my area. All six informed me that a new replacement windshield for this car is no longer available. Hearing this I phoned Safelite and made the appointment for the replacement. 24 hrs later I received a phone call from them informing me that the appointment was canceled due to the fact that the windshield for this car was no longer available. Another words they originally provided my wife with false information, they never checked on the availability of this windshield as did the other windshield services had done. If I had known this upon the original inquiry I would not have purchased that car. I am know stuck with the only option I have available to me and that is trying to located a used one. Needless to say, never again Safelite.

This company does not care…

This company does not care about the quality of their work and will make no effort beyond the bare minimum to help you. I took my daughter's car to repair a stone chip. The repair failed two days later, so I scheduled a windshield replacement. They never showed up for the appointment. I was told the technician called in sick that day. I rescheduled the appointment, but when the technician did show up, he didn't have the correct parts to complete the job, so did not replace the windshield. I rescheduled the appointment again and the technician arrived and indicated he did not have the correct parts again to complete the job. I had made calls to confirm they were bringing all the necessary parts beforehand. I spoke with the Manager (Dan - Athens, GA) and he indicated they could not get the parts and they would be unable to replace my windshield. I called one other glass shop and they found the parts right away and had the windshield replaced. Safelite is incompetent and didn't seem to care. They offered no apologies, just that the parts were not available when they clearly were. Never again with Safelite.

Left car worse than before and full of glass! Unfixed!

If I could leave, no stars I would. We contacted Safelite by recommendation of our insurance after our back windshield was shattered (but still in place). We made an appointment with them to have our windshield replaced in our driveway. When they showed up, they pushed the glass into our car, shattered most of it out and then realized they didn't have the proper parts to finish the job. They then left all of the glass inside of our vehicle the vehicle that we transport three children in on a daily basis. They said we would have to get in contact with their office to find out more about how long it would take to get the part. it took several calls before anyone would give us more information and even then they said it would take at least 10 business days before they could get the part and that couldn't be guaranteed. They wouldn't give us any names of a manager or allow us to talk to a manager. We are left with a car that we can't drive around and then of course last night it rained. this is an unbelievably unprofessional way to do business. I can't believe that they would leave our car in a worse state than they even found it. Let alone break out the glass before they knew that they had the pieces that they needed.

Charlie from Safelite Autoglass in Falmouth MA did a great job. Arrived earlier than stated time. Was kind. Detail oriented. Glass replacement came out great. Put my stickers back on where I wanted. easy to do with insurance. high praise job.

Don't Fall 4 Afterpay Lure & Triplecheck Tech's Work

Found Safelite for a windshield replacement, money tighter this month so the "Premium" glass replacement for my SUV paid in 4 installments seemed appealing. I had my business CC in hand ready but first red flag or what should've been, was when selecting the installments option, the site didn't offer me a CC option but immediately sent me to CashApp. I searched around to double check, nope, just CashApp. I mean fine, I use it, just generally for paying things in full. Innoticed it rolled me to their company Afterpay where I put down $114.40, the first of 4 installments over 6 weeks. 4 days later, Safelite tech comes out, nice guy, but would end up not reinstalling components around windshield correctly, but that'll be a separate review. At job completion, I sign his screen to acknowledge, etc. 30 mins later I see whole amount of $457.80, taken out of my bank. This is where spiraling began & Afterpay/CashApp, can't seem to put the brakes on. I called Safelite first. No help. I call # for Safelite shop, offsite CR answers, very empathetic, sees error, puts ball in motion but warning, they seem to have ZERO to do with the $$ side of this. So I call CashApp, open dispute, provided paperwork. At this point in scenario I've been double billed, one down payment to Afterpay plus full price of item with Safelite. All the same you know the usual, its "next week" or how many ever days to reconcile but CashApp passed case up to AfterPay. My concern grew when noting on CashApp, the intent was still there to withdraw my 2nd installment even though 2 company divisions, plus Safelite can easily see what's at hand and that I owe absolutely ZERO & now they owe me! I'm fairly certain I made one more followup call to CashApp per that concern but you have to understand I've gotten emails from multiple CR reps from 3 companies. In the meantime, I've filed 2 BBB complaints, one against Safelite, 1 Afterpay. I decided to file this review because tonight I received a "late notice" on the 2nd payment from CashApp/Afterpay with veiled threat to take the funds from my bank. It really shouldn't be this hard nevermind the Safelite tech leaving off an integral screw and parts, detached. It's clearly a bad arrangement and highly dysfunctional collaboration.

I prepaid nearly $300 for Safelite to…

I prepaid nearly $300 for Safelite to come to my home and replace the windshield in my truck. The appointment was scheduled for Saturday between 12:00 and 5:00 PM. Saturday morning, I received a call saying the windshield arrived damaged and they needed to reschedule. Frustrating, but I understood, things happen.
A new appointment was made for that following Monday, again between 12:00 and 5:00 PM at my home. But on Sunday evening, I saw an email saying I was scheduled to bring my truck to their Hattiesburg location between 7:30 and 9:30 AM. That’s a 40-minute drive from where I live, and I had no windshield!
I called customer service multiple times Monday morning, and after being bounced around, someone from the shop finally called me back just to tell me I didn’t even have an appointment, they claimed I was only scheduled to be “notified” if my glass came in. So why send an email telling me to drive to the shop?
I had already been without my truck for nearly two weeks trying to save up the money for this repair, and they completely wasted my time. Poor communication, no accountability, and terrible customer service. Never again. This was my first and last experience with Safelite.

Really disappointed with the service

Really disappointed with the service. They showed up with the wrong windshield and had to reschedule the appointment. The technician never followed up or reached out to keep me updated, and it was nearly impossible to get in touch with someone directly. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone

bad experience

To make things worse, the seal wasn’t done properly, and now I have wind noise every time I drive on the highway.

I had a terrible experience with this company. I scheduled a windshield replacement, and not only did they show up late, but the communication throughout the process was awful. The technician rushed through the job. When I called to have it fixed, customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, acting like it was my fault.I left disappointed and frustrated. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Safelite for my glass replacement. My appointment time wasn’t honored, and I waited far longer than expected with little to no communication from the staff. When the job was finally finished, the quality of the installation was poor — the glass wasn’t sealed properly, and they acted like it was no big deal and didn’t want to fix it.

For the price I paid, I expected professional service and reliable workmanship, but instead, I received delays, poor communication, and sloppy work. I won’t be returning and would not recommend them.
