We had Sean Taylor out to help after a cable broke on the tilt mechanism. Sean come out promptly was quick to offer reassurance that he would be able to sort the problem as it was a dangerous position for feeding in the wheelchair. He was lovely really nice guy and sorted the problem quickly. Thanks Sean your a ⭐️

Gary Thompson attended my husband today for his wheelchair repair he rang ahead giving an estimated time of arrival (which we don't often get we are sat waiting in all day when really I or my husband want to go out. ) It was rather warm today in the sun and a difficult repair he spent over an hour here. Changed all 4 wheels and fixed a foot rest (that foot rest has caught my leg a few times it really hurt glad he fixed that) so yes my husband is very pleased with the repair job today.

Terry Tunesi delivered the wheelchair - he was very polite snd courteous. He gave very clear info re using the wheelchair and demonstrated the correct way to carry out different manoeuvres He checked I had no further questions, explained what to do if anything went wrong or we needed it to be picked up

Gary came identified the problem and fixed it. In addition he renewed both armrests. Jobs done quickly and efficiently. Excellent service.

Can I tell you about Nigel George who is an Engineer with this Company. He has called before to put right any problems and let me say he is one of the nicest Chaps you could wish to meet. Always arrives with a smile, remembers us and does a marvellous job no matter how hard that job may be. We cannot speak highly enough Of Nigel George or the good work in repairs he carries out - so thank you! Ross Care.

Recently paralysed and this was my first interaction with the local wheelchair services as farmed out to Ross Care.

The wheelchair arrived broken and dangerous. Transferring in and out was dangerous and difficult and the major risk is getting my hands and arms trapped.

When I could eventually get through the Staff were extremely belittling.

Apparently I must have broken it as they check the chairs before they go out. So in the 2 weeks I had the chair I must have broken it and by detailing what had actually happened in their eyes I was a liar.

They did get a repair man out quickly who when he examined the part couldn't fix it at the part had been machined incorrectly so screws could not ever have been tightened properly.

It therefore must have been broken when they sent it out. This did ease my anxiety as the accusatory stance of the Ross Care employee made me feel like I had done something wrong.

They now have new parts but cannot deliver them until the 31st of July as they are so busy with repairs.....

This is my first wheelchair which by the time it's fixed I will have had for nearly 2 months without really being able to use it safely.

Do better, act better, be better Ross Care.

Sean Taylor attended today to change a part on my wheelchair. He was very friendly and professional. He did a very good job in very quick time leaving me very happy and able to get on with my day👍

I had Nigel George come with my chair, he was very polite and helpful. He answered all my questions and put me at ease.

They are always there when I need then the staff are friendly and always happy to see their customers
The work is too a high quality and quick and they always have time for a time for a chat

Giovanni had a look at the wheelchair and decided to take it back to the depot to fix the RH handle as the rivet was missing. He said he would return the wheelchair at 15:00. I asked him to return after 15:30 as no one would be home at 15:00. He arrived just after 15:30 with the repaired wheelchair. He checked the wheelchair out and told me the wheels need replacing as they are worn out. He’s ordered them and will arrange to have them fitted. We have to await a phone call for fitting the wheels. Excellent service!

Gary was great,came for a home visit to change some bits on my son's chair,very positive experience.thank you Gary Thompson.

I am quite frustrated with Ross Care. Due to fix my daughters wheelchair. And I called early morning to ask if they have any idea if they will be coming in the morning or afternoon as I am having to deal with a emergency for work, where someone is critically ill and I need to visit . I did not ask for a time slot just asked where abouts on the list and if it would be morning or afternoon.
The only response they can give me is he will call when on his way!
What awful service

Gary Thompson came out to repair my son’s wheelchair and really went out of his way to do so . Extremely caring towards the understanding of a person who relies on a wheelchair 24/7 and is unable to walk at all . He is professional experienced and cares

Very helpful and polite happy to answer our questions also a professional service provided when my wheelchair was checked thoroughly and a return visit to change a wheel and the footplate changed to a more compact size

We have been with wallasey for years and put up with shoddy inexperienced engineers never getting correct parts and parts taking weeks and no communication between any of the staff there staff leaving because its such a bad place to work meaning my daughter of now 22 being left with no legs for weeks upon a time!!

Until PRESTON this is the team we need and my daughter deserves from the admin staff Lou Lucy to the amazing engineers Matty the best engineer top bloke very experienced amazing at his job not one of them have let us down they go above and beyond they care they are dedicated and they understand that if someone's wheelchair is out of use then so is that person its not just a wheelchair its independence its that person's legs life and mobility and they do everything they can to keep you safe and moving and that is exactly how it should be but that's not been our journey unfortunately up until 4 months ago we are truly grateful for the help and support we have had from the Preston Team they have shown us how it can be done and I only wish the other Ross Care depots had the same work ethics as Preston thanks Matty for driving miles to collect new parts for Charlotte and for starting earlier and finishing later to make sure she had her independence ❤️
