paid you guys to do my raidator

paid you guys to do my raidator ! Your tech installed the wrong parts and damaged my car you guys sent some one out they looked and told me repair smith was going to replace it and my warranty well cover ! The net day my appointment was canceled and I was told my account was placed on fraud!! I never returned anything I paid you guys messes up my car I can’t drive to work or nothing at least fix what you damaged ! I paid y’all ! EVERY TIME I SAY SOMETHING ABOUT TAKING THEM TO COURT THE HANG UP SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN EVEN THE TECH THAT INSTALLED THE PARTS WAS Fired ‼️JUST COMPLETELY BS!

I'm a former employee and I'm giving…

I'm a former employee and I'm giving you a courtesy warning. I'm a Master Certified Technician not only ASC but Master Certified by Ford Chevy and Dodge I have over 40 years experience I have never seen a company so ignorant of how to fix somebody's car. These are oil change jockeys who have very little if any experience on working on cars. I am not saying all mobile mechanics are bad there are some good ones out there that I personally know. Repair Smith has had problems since they started their business. They used to work on a lot of Amazon vehicles but from what I understand Amazon cut them loose because they could not keep their vehicles on the road that is from somebody who's used to work for them also. Before you have anybody work on the second most expensive thing you will ever buy your house being the first you need to make sure the person who's working on your car is capable of repairing it ask a lot of questions. I mean a lot of questions trust your gut instinct. All companies will have some good reviews and all companies will have some bad ones. That happens. But when you have mobile companies who only do business online and from out of state as repair Smith is there is no one you can talk to when things go wrong and if you use repair Smith they will go wrong. So if you need to use a mobile mechanic please ask a lot of questions. And if you feel they know what they're doing then all means let them work on your car. But ask a lot of questions and trust your gut instinct that is what God gave you to use. So to wrap things up be careful who you ask to work on your car and be careful when using a mobile repair service. Again there are good ones out there and there are bad ones and unfortunately the bad ones seem to outnumber the good ones. Absolutely wonderful! My first time using this service and it took out all the stress I normally endure when my car breaks down. Miguel S was extremely helpful, skilled, efficient and got my car back up and running. He diagnosed problems I have been stressing about for months and made everything very easy for me. I booked an appointment online for my old 2004 Honda Odyssey. I thought it had a broken hose to the radiator. Martin came out with a fully equipped van full of tools and supplies and told me no, it's not the hose, the top of the radiator is cracked. Your hoses are fine. He ran water in, and sure enough water spewed out the top through a crack in the radiator. He had to carefully pick parts of the exploded radiator cap out just to pressure test it. Martin left me his card and told me he would call soon when he found the part. Shortly, they found me a new radiator and I asked for Martin to come out again, nobody else, because he is obviously very professional and knowledgeable and honest as a heart attack. Repairsmith sent with an even bigger and better equipped van than before and it was a beautiful sight. He had ramps to lift my car and every single thing he needed. He did the work very efficiently, which was not easy- in very hot weather, thank goodness the car was in the shade--and he has a general positive feeling about his work, himself and his customers, too. My car has all kinds of problems, including a weird electrical draw. The service is fantastic, though, because I did not have to go out into the 110 degree heat and breakdown in my ancient relic trying to get it fixed. I am an ancient relic myself. One day soon, I will sic Martin on the electrical draw problem, and I know there is a good chance he might be able to track it down. They are notoriously hard to pinpoint though, electrical problems, but I feel The Lord is on Martin's side!! When you call Repairsmith in San Antonio, ask for Martin --or another person you know and respect-- and they will send that person. This is a big plus.

Surprisingly good

At first I thought it was a web-based referral program.

These guys arrived on time, en masse, with terrific gear, experience and ready.

I am stunned by the quality of their people, equipment and focus. Would never, ever go to a dealer for service again.

Their price is better, their warranty is equal, and their focus and background is total. No waiting for dealers and baggage and waiting rooms. They come to you!

Each if the techs happen to be accomplished mb techs previously.

they are clearly going to put dealers out of business if they keep this up.

People are grumpy, have no idea why you would give them a bad review unless you were a competing employee. Well done Christian in Miami!

Lousy customer service

Was trying this service for the first time. Was told my appointment was canceled after the time they were supposed to arrive. They said they contacted to let me know it was canceled which was crap because I took the day off work to wait for them. Apparently you can have your own parts even though they dont state that. So instead of letting me know that at the time I scheduled it they cancel my appointment and I only found out because I called for an ETA over the chat and was told it was canceled. Things happen for a reason and I believe Im not supposed to use this company and waste my money so all though Im pissed Im grateful that it shows me how this company does business. Which is TERRIBLE...NEVER EVER AGAIN

Never again

Utilized this company after purchasing a used car, wanted to have diagnostics run to assure it did not require repair. Was given a list of 3 relatively minor repairs and told that otherwise the car was fine. The technician parked my car in the driveway and I paid the company. Two days later I got into the car for the first time since the diagnostic appointment with RepairSmith and it would not start. I had to have the car towed to a mechanic. I reached out to RepairSmith and asked for a local or Regional Manager to contact me, this is the response I received:

“Hello Diane, our technician completed the diagnostic according to your request and unfortunately, we cannot provide a refund for this service. You can use our diagnosis results to find the most appropriate auto repair shop to perform the repairs. Thanks so much! Sincerely the Repair Smith team”

Of course, the technician never indicated there was any problem with the vehicle which would result in it not starting. Once it had been looked at by a professional mechanic I learned it needs more than $2500 in repairs. He tested the battery and said it was fine, but the first repair I had to have is a new battery. Basically, I paid $200 for nothing. I have spent the last three days emailing back and forth with RepairSmith. I even sent them the actual diagnostics from the shop to which it was towed, clearly disputing the Repair Smith mechanic’s diagnostics. They won’t give me my money back, despite the obvious fact that their technician was wrong. I won’t be using this company again, nor will I recommend it to others. Very disappointing.

Multiple Visits, Spent Over $1k, and Still No Solution!

My battery wasn't holding a charge, so I swapped it out since it was still under warranty. That apparently wasn't the problem, so I called Repair Smith since I was grounded and my battery wasn't holding a charge. I was told by my dealership two days prior to my battery going dead that I needed to replace the spark plugs as part of general 60k maintenance. I told them I'd wait, but after the car suspiciously went dead just two days later, I let Repair Smith know the problem I was having and also told them that I would like to replace my spark plugs, too. They suggested it could also possibly be that my ignition coil had gone out, so they told me they had to make sure they came with both parts just in case. They tried to add the full diagnostic charge and told them I wanted to see first if either of those things were the issue since I had just been at the dealership and didn't want to add that to the service unless necessary. So the mechanic comes and replaces the spark plugs and says my ignition coil is fine. He also says he doesn't have the equipment to perform the full diagnostic. I spent $350 for the spark plug replacement. The mechanic didn't even have cables to jump my car or a meter to check its charge. I'm grounded for yet another day and he tells me I had to schedule another appointment for the next day for the diagnostic. Next morning, this mechanic tells me I need a new alternator and quotes me $1400. He leaves the car running for me in case I want to shop around at other auto mechanic shops to get a better offer elsewhere. That second visit is $170. So far, I've spent $520 with Repair Smith for a spark plug replacement and diagnostic, but still no solution to my battery drainage issue. I am able to get the alternator replaced for $900 ($500 less than Repair Smith quoted) based on RS's diagnosis at that another local shop--their work is warrantied. The day afterward, my battery is dead, yet again. I call Repair Smith and let them know that despite having a brand new alternator put based on their diagnosis, I am having the exact same issue. The agent is empathetic and offers to send another mechanic as soon as possible to my home (7:30am the next morning) and get another diagnosis that would be covered under warranty. I'm nice even though I worry if I even needed to spend $900 on a new alternator now, and know my car STILL won't be fixed after several days of being car-less, but at least I won't have to pay yet another $170 for this diagnostic service. NOPE. Their snarky escalations department agent calls me several hours later and tells me because I got the alternator replaced elsewhere that I would need to pay. They said their employee was wrong for telling me they could offer that and then proceeds to lecture me on how I wouldn't be able to keep a cell phone under warranty if I got it repaired somewhere else. I told him I didn't care to hear about cell phones when I had now spent over a $1000 on a new alternator and diagnostic only to be in the exact same boat I was in several days before with them trying to nickel and dime me for more money and probably another expensive quote to a repair. They overcharge for their services and didn't once warn me that if I got the work done elsewhere that I would void any guarantees. They told me to replace my alternator and I did, and yet I am out $1000 and continue to have the exact same problem as I did before. I am tired of being ripped off and being drained of money with multiple visits. I won't make the mistake of working with them again and will make sure I warn family and friends against working with them.

Repairsmith is not for you!

Listen, this company isn't worth it. I have been waiting three and a half months just for a warranty inspection. Not to mention my car is currently in Mesa, and not being worked on in my front yard like repairsmith claims to be capable of doing. I would like to tell my younger self to choose a nearby mechanic instead of choosing repairsmith, since I know that this is much too long of a "repair". Did I mention that I was the one who had to spend two hundred and forty dollars for the tow to Mesa? I have yet to be compensated , even after being told that my car is under warranty. This is outrageous and repairsmith will no longer make money from me.

NEVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

NEVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. They. Have had my car sitting for two weeks because their technition didn’t finish the first job and have rebooked my repair over 3 times now. Save your time and money it’s a big waste booking with this company. Don’t bother calling the offices either to get help because the people inside don't care or know how to help. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE

I've used this company to fix something…

I've used this company to fix something very minor on my van a few months ago and the guy did an excellent job. I made an appointment to get my EGR valve replaced. I got a quote staying $270 and there was a message stating my price could be in-between 250 to 660. I checked my email the next day they went from 270 to 418.04, that's including parts (I guess) and labor. I don't appreciate any car repair company giving me one price one day then another price the day my services are supposed to be rendered. They even changed my repair time at the last minute so I cancelled. That was two red flags so I just terminated my service I scheduled for.

Parts to expensive!!

Called for them to diagnose our drivers side window not working correctly. Of course they all say they have to do a 50 point inspection first. I told him no need just the window is fine. He said he can't complete his report if he doesn't. Any ways he said they need to order the part and it woul be $900 and something to get part and have done. Unacceptable. I got a quote from "your mechanic", it's under $500 and that's including diagnostics check!! I will come back and give u a review on "Your Mechanic" company!!

Do not call these guys ever!

Do not call these guys ever. EVER! Let's start with the response time. Yes, it's quick and easy to schedule an appointment but the lack of response once scheduled and no follow-up from the mechanic set off red flags. My 2015 Mini threw a battery not charging code its still under 50,000 miles. I call them they did a 90$ diagnostic full vehicle inspection. Before you get estimation they give you a report of what's "needs attention." Everything recommend replacing was reasoning was old,or dirty or bad. Then you get the price. A whooping 2926.24. For all the "Needs attention now" items. I instantly said "No thank you" took it to an actual mechanic everything listed underneath "the needs attention" was not the problem. I could have paid almost 3000 dollars and still wouldn't have a functioning vehicle.

Radio ad lies!!

If you have a car that is older than 1996 don’t bother calling them. The radio ad lies and they don’t work on every car. I have an 1985 toyota and ‘87 Toyota that needs some work that I can’t do myself because of cancer. I was super excited that I might get my rides to work again. But unfortunately they don’t and it was a big disappointment.

Great Service

My Frontier Starter went out at work. I set up an appointment and Carlos Carranza came out to replace it. Unfortunately, there was an unforeseen complication and he could not finish the job. However, we really appreciate that Carlos made every effort to fix the problem, but recognized when he could go no further. He was honest with us and showed that he takes pride in his work. We were not charged for the visit even though we would have gladly paid for the labor he did do. Even without the desired outcome, the experience was a good one and we would definitely consider using RepairSmith again. It's a great service that can really get you out of a pinch.

My 2005 Buick Lacrosse developed a…

My 2005 Buick Lacrosse developed a misfire in #4cylinder...I called Repairsmith..a tech arrived 10/02/2020 and diagnosed the problem as a damaged connector to #4 injector...I paid $80 ... He returned 10/08 and replaced the part ...no improvement, still had the misfire...I examined the removed part visually and could not see any damage..tech returned 10/09 and diagnosed a bad ECU (computer) I asked him for the part so I could test with an ohm meter..part was gone he took it home ...he spoke with his avisor and it was determined I would be responsible for the part only ..no labor or programming.I paid $ 290.17 Did not hear anything until 10/14 I spoke with the service writer, he said the arrangement for part only must have been a mis-communication I was responsible for an additional $175 programming charge...bringing the total for parts and programming plus tax to $600.
He would order the part. 10/19 not hearing anything service writer replied "reaching out to supplier". 10/20 service writer found part in stock as soon as supplier provides info he will get back to me.Hearing nothing I sent a text on Monday 10/25. 10/26 I called service writer said he had no info. I waited until Saturday 10/30 called service writer still no info ..I asked why?...he replied "I was off Thursday and Friday ..the supplier is off Saturday and Sunday" therefore no info. on 11/02 I called service writer I was put on hold ... person came back and said he was not available, he would call back...he did not. at this point I felt I was being dropped by repairsmith. I decided to send the part out for repair, I texted the tech for help in removing the ECU ..no response..I removed it and sent it out for repair...Ecu came back with a letter stating "no bad components" but an error on the board suggested there were other problems that if not corrected I would have the same problem again. I ordered a plug and coil which I installed. replaced the ECU tried the car .. same problem. I put the Repairsmith charges in dispute with my credit card company. After I found an article about how the computer handles a misfire. It stated on a misfire the ECU disables the fuel .. waits briefly and enables the fuel, if the misfire is still present the fuel is disabled again. Which makes perfect sense, not to disable the fuel would pump raw fuel into the exhaust system which would then burn and cause other problems. 2 days after I put charges in dispute the service writer called ready to install the new ECU. that was on 11/11......job was started on 10/02
