Completely outside the law

A bank that operates completely outside of the law, especially GDPR. My wife closed all her accounts almost 3 years ago and she still gets emails from then. What is laughable is that they said in an email her accounts are blocked because she didn't update her personal details. How can they block accounts that do not exist anymore since they were closed. Imagine what kind of databases they work with, if this is the case. How can you even trust such a bank. If I'd be a client, I'd run like hell from a bank that doesn't even know who their clients are or aren't

I am sick of this poor customer…

I am sick of this poor customer service. Every time I call these ladies, they get on my nerves. They do not allow you to explain the whole situation and jump to the script. If you dare to interrupt them to tell them the full story with relevant details, they just continue to talk - sometimes I am wondering if it’s AI I am taking to.
Also, they cannot do anything in the system, apparently - tbh this is complete bs.
I informed them they need to change the delivery address for me, because they will waste resources, as I will not be at the address to pick up the new card and they couldn’t care less. I mean, this is my last interaction with them and will give up on the bank’s services as well. I deserve some respect and helpful customer support!

They don’t care if you get new card early…

When your card expires and you ask for a new one early, the bank automatically sends you a second card even if you tell them you don't want a second one. They make you call them, wait about 20-30 minutes on the phone for them to answer. and another few minutes to explain what you want to do. It gets tiring. They should be more rational and serious.

I am a Romanian living overseas

I am a Romanian living overseas. While I was in Romania last year, I needed to open a bank account to sell a property, and I chose Raiffeisen Bank for that.
I have been advised by the bank teller to use my Romanian temporary phone number, even though I had specified that it would only be available for a while, as living overseas, I have another number.
But they said this would be fine, once I have the application on the phone.
Shortly after I returned to the country I am living in, the bank application I had on my phone was suddenly updated. From that moment I could not have access to my account in any way due to the temporary number I had. It could not function for any verification code anymore.
So, being overseas, I called and emailed the bank repeatedly, unsuccessfully, hoping to get access to my account (money) somehow. After a few weeks, I finally got an email, and, being unable to get back my bank account access, I asked how I could close the bank account due to my inaccessibility to my money, especially that the account has been opened to sell a property. I couldn't joke with this matter for long.
So, I was informed in an email to go to a branch when I return to Romania and close the account in person.
Alternatively, I could fly to the next country (we don't have an embassy) and make a "power of attorney" to a person in Romania and close my account in my name. Messy stuff, as I have no one I could ask for that.
So, I had enough.
I am living 17.000 km away from Ro., but I took leave from work and returned to Ro. I bought $4500 flight tickets + living expenses to sort out this situation.
Why? The bank is charging me 10 RON monthly, and I had no access to the money to see what on Earth was happening with my account.
And here's where the fun part starts:
I tried to close the account as such:
On my first visit to the bank, the teller (a guy) said that I couldn't close the account as there were still 40 RON in my account and I had to spend, transfer, or withdraw it. So, I spent it @ 28 RON and @ 11 RON or so.
On my second visit to the bank, hoping to close the account, the teller (a lady, this time) was questioning me as to why I spent the money, saying: "oh, what did you do, madam, what did you do?" referring to the money I spent on their advice, to clear the account and close it. She advised that I should have withdrawn it instead, like it would have mattered, anyway.
The sum was "pending", and I still could not count close the account in this case.
It was last Friday.
The lady added that there was still a sum of 10 RON left in the account, even if I had spent 40 RON, as the first teller had mentioned, and I had no clue how 10 RON had appeared in my account suddenly.
She advised me to spend the last 10 RON and told me to return next week.
Confused about why I had another 10 RON in my account, I left the bank.
The third visit to the bank was on Monday, yesterday. The bank was closed and fully empty, as, apparently, there was no power on the street and everyone was home.
The fourth visit to the bank was today, when I was told that the 10 RON which I was advised to spend were still "pending", so I still could not close the account. :)
Today is Tuesday the 4th of March, and I was asked (by the same first guy) to return on the 10th of March, as for sure on the 10th, the "pending sum" will be cleared. Really? 6 days needed to clear a sum?
It sounds like an absurd joke. I need to fly back home soon and return to work... and I am still in the position I was three months ago, trying to close the account.
Wish me luck! Tomorrow, I am going to another branch, hoping to be able to close the account. So incredibly ridiculous!
Raiffeisen should return to Austria. You, guys, need massive training, professionalism
and rigour. Why? Because what goes around comes around, and one day, you will not like the effect of the cause you create today.
I would rate it as a 10th of a star, but there is no such option. Utterly messed up service! I don't recommend it!

Pessimo servizio clienti

Chat bot non disponibile in lingua inglese e già qui, non ci siamo. Invio una mail per chiedere delle informazioni, mi rispondono che non possono gestire quel tipo di richiesta via mail perché debbo essere identificato. Eppure in fase di apertura conto ho fornito la mail con cui ho scritto e, alla richiesta fatta, ho allegato il mio documento di riconoscimento...
Credo proprio che dovrò guardarmi in giro e cambiare banca il prima possibile.
Dire che è vergognoso, è veramente dir poco....

Completely disaster!!

My experience with Raiffeisen Bank has been extremely disappointing. I encountered an accounting error caused by the bank itself, and the attempt to resolve it turned into a vicious cycle of inefficiency:
I was invited to visit the branch in person, only to then be redirected to send an email. Subsequently, I was told to make a phone call. It's evident that the request to come to the branch serves only to justify the presence of counter staff, given that they have neither the ability nor the authority to solve customers' problems.
This constant bouncing between different communication channels demonstrates a serious lack of internal coordination and an inability to effectively handle customer issues. The physical presence in the branch appears to be merely an empty formality, as every matter is anyway diverted to other channels.
It is unacceptable that an error made by the bank itself requires so much time and effort from the customer to resolve, and that people are made to move around unnecessarily just to maintain the appearance of a customer service that, in practice, is non-existent.
This experience reflects inadequate customer service management and inefficient internal organization that needs serious revision.

Suport deplorabil

Am sunat pentru o sesizare in legatura cu o frauda pe data de 16 ianuarie. Mi s-a spus ca a fost facuta o solicitare si ca revin catre mine cu o rezolutie in 15-30 de zile. Am sunat si a doua oara, mi s a spus ca s-a urgentat situatia si ca voi fi contactat in cateva zile. Totul ca sa mi se spuna intr-un final ca nu pot face nimic. Am cerut de fiecare data un manager pentru a discuta si desi era disponibil,refuza sa preia apelul. Serviciul de suport este deplorabil, nu mai zic de cei care sunt in fruntea acestui departament.

I live in the UK, Visa card not received, email, emails ... no solution

I live in the UK, Raiffeisen repeatedly said they would send my new, Visa card to my address in the UK, through a courier. We go round and round in circles writing emails. They never answer the phone. I have never received the Visa card, now they are saying that the card has been cancelled because I have not activated it in time, on my app the card appears to be ACTIVE . A mess ! Absolutely useless !

Nu voi recomanda niciodată această bancă

Prima experiență a fost pozitivă, personalul politicos a reușit să deschidă un cont în această bancă! Am reușit chiar să transfer bani de la o altă bancă românească și să-i plasez acolo și să deschid un depozit în lei românești și în valută străină, totul a fost bine de aproape doi ani! Dar acum 1,5 luni am primit o notificare prin e-mail despre închiderea conturilor mele! Încercările de a afla motivul și de a rezolva problema online nu au dat rezultate, răspunsul băncii a fost că trebuie să veniți la sucursala bancară unde a fost deschis contul! La sosirea la bancă, personalul a ridicat din umeri, spunând că gazul nu are nicio informație despre motivul închiderii și să vă închidem conturile la noi și să transferăm bani către o altă bancă! De fapt, comunicarea cu serviciul de asistență și corespondența prin poștă cu banca nu au dus la nimic! Și conturile trebuiau închise, banca a reținut dobânzile la depozite, deoarece au o astfel de politică, deși ei înșiși au inițiat închiderea conturilor! În general, nu recomand această bancă, consider că nu este fiabilă, cu o aplicație mobilă instabilă, rate scăzute ale dobânzii la depozite, serviciu de asistență slab și o așteptare foarte lungă pentru răspunsuri de la biroul central! Rate ridicate ale dobânzii pentru încasarea Euro la un bancomat!
Cu siguranță, Nu voi recomanda niciodată această bancă prietenilor și dușmanilor mei!

Too bad the system won't allow me to…

Too bad the system won't allow me to give them 0 stars. I want to close my account and they ask me to go on their bank in order to do that. I live in another country and I can't do that. It's funny that you could open an account online but to close it you need to travel 3300 km or spend time and money to make a power of attorney for a someone in Romania and that person to spend again money and time just to close a bank account that u made online. Run away from this,,bank" !!!

Worst Bank in the world

Worst Bank in the world, i would say more: they are just doing what ever they want, no regulations at all...
You could be 5000km away from your country, and they will just send you an EMAIL that you need to come to their bank so they will REVERIFY (what is not smart at all) your details, OTHERWISE THEY WILL BLOCK YOUR ACCOUNT!
And this is not because some suspicious activity, but JUST BECAUSE THEY WANT SO one in 2 years.
Also a lot of blocks, limitations... they think you live just to explain them how you spend your money and ask them if you can use your money...
WORST EVER, NEVER AGAIN!

What happens when you are a premium client and you cannot came in personna to the bank

My husband is a premium client .And, probably for that reason he was denied the cards by poste in France. Three times he asked the account manager to provide this service. It was impossible. I have made a trip especially to Romania to collect the cards. Impossible! I was send to two agencies only to provide a French address written on a post it. They will send the cards. (after a lot of demands from the legal service, the hierarchy, and all that corporate procedures) by DHL in France, but no date or other information At the first agency they did not wanted to actualize my personal information saying the second agency will do it.Of course, the second agency didn't do it also. So, I do not have any card, currently I pay my living costs in Romania by bank transfer and I will collect the cards myself in France. In conclusion I have spent money, time and energy and 4000 km for nothing. Stay away , do not open any account at this bank. You will have a lot of problems.

The worst bank I’ve ever worked with

The worst bank I’ve ever worked with. Discrimination high level with people which aren’t Romanians - and the example is - they decide to close my account without any explanations because I’m Bulgarian citizen working in Romania since 6 years. The customer service and agents in the offices are 1000000% useless and only exchange the responsibility between them. Incapable people which haven’t been able to update my personal data for 6 years. For those years I have had 3 times my account blocked because they couldn’t update my passport data and now they close it and say “you are not allowed to open an account in out bank never anymore”. I won’t mention that on the 5th year of my staying in Romania I got there to update again my data as I’ve got permanent residence (from immigration services and police of Romania) and the idiot there was looking at my bank card and trying to convince me that I don’t have an account in their bank… or the fact they have sent my new Visa card to my Bulgarian address because they weren’t capable to find my Romanian address which has been provided to them at least 200 times..
I won’t recommend this next Austrian crab not even to my biggest enemy!

Cea mai mare farsa trăită vreodată.

Cea mai mare farsa trăită vreodată.
Am un cont curent la Raiffeisen de aproape 20 de ani.
De ceva vreme nu mai primesc salariul in acest cont însă din motive obiective l-am păstrat. Tot de ceva vreme acești domni și doamne îmbrăcați la 4 ace In numele unui comision de administrare îmi confisca in fiecare luna cate 10 lei.
Acești bani câștigați de mine cu sudoarea frunții sunt însușiți de ei fără rușine și degeaba.
Am un cont curent la una din cele mai mari bănci din Anglia iar comisioanele de orice fel sunt 0.
In Romania insa băncile îți iau banii fara rușine, fara respect, fara justificare.
O rușine, dezgustător, de neimaginat cat de jos suntem că și țară....

If only I can give this stupid bank -1000 star!
it doesn't work the online payment when you urgently need it, first time I called turns out they put my passport number wrong. ok waited one day for them to correct that, second day tried again, still doesn't work, and apparently the support line don't really know what's wrong, have to wait them to figure out what s wrong for few days. Imagine in a situation you really have to do the payment urgently and your bank won't let you do that. I will quite this stupid bank soon and tell everyone how stupid this bank is.

we had 2 go twice to the bank in order…

we had 2 go twice to the bank in order to open an bank account for my british wife. Once there we had to fill the same questioners again like the first time because the lady behind the desk did someting wrong. on the second visit they said we will have to come again for the third time, we had to give tons of declarations and the bank representative looked like the didnt know what they were doing. shame! Im a romanian citizen with an account at this bank, but I will soon close it down as im not happy with them .

La revenirea în România promit că voi închide toate conturile la ei !
Soția nu poate accesa nici ea banii fizic din bancă pentru că idioții nu mai eu casierie !
Mă cac pe banca voastră pentru că eu sunt blocat în străinătate fără bani .
