Not next day. Goods not idea. Disinterest.

I bought a a cutter with next day delivery. It arrived late. When I enquired about when it would arrive I was told they would investigate and implied the postage maybe refunded. Oddly I then got charged twice for delivery (was corrected by accounts). I never got a refund for postage. No huge issue.
I understand next day services are not always next day and there policy is not to issue refunds for postage.

However the cutter arrived with something on the shaft. Sort of plastic blob on a small section. It was hard to remove and wouldn't come of with solvents.

I phoned about this but they seemed disinterested.

So yea not too happy with the service or the products.

LATE DELIVERY - As previously explained, with regards to the delivery arriving late there was an accident on the local motorway and the driver was unable to make the connection to the hub which resulted in everybody’s orders being delayed. I am sure you appreciate that these are exceptional circumstances beyond both our control and the couriers, with all the best will in the world I am sure you will agree due to the reason for the delay that next day delivery was not possible in this instance. Our courier worked very hard to resolve the lateness of our parcels and I can see your parcel did reach you at 11.35am on the next available working day, I am sure you understand why we would not offer a refund on carriage in this instance, we don’t have a policy not to refund carriage we simply deal with each case on its merit.

DELIVERY CHARGE - As you paid for your order in advance I can see you were not actually charged twice for delivery, but you are quite correct, your invoice did indeed show an additional delivery charge, this was generated purely in error but was resolved immediately when you reported this to us and we thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Our colleague did indeed take on board your concerns over the “plastic blob” on the tool holder, after seeing the photograph you sent over to us we believed it to be cutting paste, we advised that this should be easy to scrape off but that if you had any further concerns and were not able to remove it to please come back to us and let us know, when you didn’t come back to us we assumed all was good and it had all come off. Unfortunately, as we were not aware there was still an issue we could obviously not further assist you. Please feel free to reach out to our team if you still need assistance.

Please be assured that customer satisfaction is always our top priority and we always want our customers to have a positive buying experience with us. I am sorry you feel we let you down on this occasion but please always be assured of our best intentions.

Dear Protool Ltd. Thank you so much for your impeccable service!!
I am a brass musical instrument maker and although most of my work involves hand tools, on occasion I require machine reamers, etc to compete a project.

I initially ordered an 'odd sized' straight fluted reamer, This was made specifically for me. This arrived within a couple of days!! Fantastic!! Except when it arrived, I realised that I had ordered the wrong size. DOH!!
I therefore called Protool Ltd to explain the fact. (I kept the reamer, as I knew I could use it on another project...!)
After ordering the second item, to my amazement it arrived early the following day!! But to top that, Protool Ltd found me an equivalent cheaper option from their own web site to help me out. Absolutely amazing!!

I can't recommend Protool Ltd highly enough, for their lovely knowledgeable staff and efforts to provide an excellent service.

Product fault…

I was not very happy when you supplied 2off om32951 tapping collets they would not tight up .your people said they wear alright .I’ve been in the game for 40 xxxxxxx years and they are not right : your place says send them back ( at my cost ) when it’s not my fault.the cost of them is minimal so the are still sitting on my desk.your people said it could be the holders funny thing I bought them from you.more than anything I was reporting it as there may have had a back batch .regards Steven rogers Hacs engineering

I have had a look into this for you, and can see that you ordered 2 of our tapping collets back in July, and reported that they were faulty. We did speak to the manufacturer of the collets and they assured us they were all fully inspected and would not be faulty. We did ask for you to return these items to us (at your cost) so we could send them back to the supplier for further inspection and so we could arrange to get some replacements out to you.

Please be assured if they were found to be faulty we would have arranged a full credit, including original costs & the return delivery cost. You would only have had to pay this return delivery cost, if the collets were found not to be faulty.

Unfortunately these items were never received back so we were unable to bring this issue to a full resolution for you.

I hope this helps for future orders & I am very sorry for any inconvenience this caused.
