Parasites. My father died and I sent them death certificate on 1st Sept 2023.

No reply just a threatening email. Complaints link’s connection doesn’t work and says error submitting complaint.

Contacted these guys a few months ago following a letter received. I confirmed that the debt was statute barred. The guy on the phone said that’s fine I’ll get that sorted at our end . 3 months later I’m still getting the odd call and txt asking to contact them . Looking at all the negativity on these reviews, I think they need to give up or change their approach. There is no debt on my credit score and my score is near perfect so no ideal why they are hassling me . Should be laws against being hounded .

Very poor experience and now received letter saying they have leaked my data, no apology.

I approached PRA group on behalf of a client. My complaint was dealt with much care. Craig Kirk, Complaint Manager, was expedient in his approach, of which we are extremely grateful for his professionalism and his understanding of the matter.

I have blocked the number relating to this company, as I constantly get voicemail messages, saying that I need to call them. I DON'T OWE ANYTHING. Nothing but phishing calls, which I blocked them. I have also complained in the past, via letter and email when the calls were at least four times a week.

PRA Group has been a great support in giving advice and being proactive in removing a default from my file. I would like to thank Keiran Murray who has been patient and understanding. Great company!

Is there anyone who actually got an honest answer from this company, PRA Group?
As they're posting the same "copy and paste answer" under every negative feedback 🤔🤔🤔

Set up a payment plan using my details, over a year ago, been trying to log in again to change my payment details,but was unable to get logged in, eventually loged in to find I'm called someone else and none of the last year's payments have not been taken off, totally useless.update 4-5-23,having spoke to the nice lady from pra, things should be sorted now .

They did call me 8 o'clock in the evening. Seriously????

When my credit card debt was bought by Aktiv Kapital, I was offered the chance to settle for £1500 in 2009. (I was unable to at the time, sadly). This all changed when they were acquired by PRA. Their offer in 2017 was £3714. Despite having set up a monthly payment plan which I adhered to, by this year the figure should have reduced, right? No, it was a staggering £4000+ I reluctantly scraped enough to pay it off to get rid of them, because the figure seemed to be growing, rather than reducing. Now a pensioner, this was very upsetting. They say you should be assured they will help you as much as they can. My experience suggests this is far from the truth. I've used up all my savings, but at least I can stop worrying.

Had some financial issues years ago and through very hard work paid down over 50,000 of debt caused by Ill health and business issues. Every creditor helped me and reasonable shortfall settlements were arranged. Fifty per cent etc. Not PRA. Just so unhelpful. Started off owing 9,000 plus to them and have paid 7000plus!!!...surely that should do it right? No not a cat in hell's chance. Once a customer services officer offered a discount of £100. And now only a very modest discount. Still want another 1400 !!! .....Was so unhappy reduced my monthly payment to a pound as I was struggling to pay a higher amount before but did that in the hope that my effort might be recognised . but just think I am doing all the cooperating and getting nothing in return. Each time they ring and say what is your settlement offer and I said I've already paid 80 per cent odd and yet still offer them more and they go away and come back and say no . Fortunately the other creditors I had I dealt with directly or with much more helpful debt agencies who work with their customers.. very very disappointing and I dealt with all my other financial issues maybe ten years ago but looks like PRA won't ever help me. I feel sorry for people whose debts have been assigned to this company. PRA. Please don't reply if all you're going to do is say you'd like to know more and to ring you. Done that . Been there. Is fruitless sadly

Phoned up out of the blue and quoted some fantastical number we apparently owed on a debt that was settled years ago. Disputed it, they said ok no further action required as it was so old and they had no proof we owed it.

Next day receive a statement saying we owe them over £1000...

Seems like opportunist scammers to me.

Please do NOT answer any emails from this scam company.
I am in an IVA, they've contacted me to say that my IVA are not making payments to them anymore, and then asked me to make payments to them instead, these are lies and they are a scam. please please do not fall for these emails do not enter your bank details anywhere on this site!!!!

Any debt over 6 years can not be chased so stop harassing me and do one you can email you can call me but you won't get an answer

Same as alot of others , chasing for a debt that has been statute barred for 15yrs. Event went to court about it back then and it was written off

Chasing a debt which is over 20years old.statue barred.their constantly harassment has caused me to right this.bought for pennies.but chase you for full ammount.

I am helping someone who has been hounded PRA due to the negligence of Barclaycard allowing an individual to make purchases without consent and then go on to sell this £2000 odd debt to PRA. I have kept all the evidence of this as the only real course of action will be to seek a legal remedy against this appauling company. No wonder the majority of reviews PRA are so poor.

UPDATE 8/3/22

PRA have now closed the account and I have to say their customer services person was thorough. The battle will now continue with Barclaycard.

Please whatever you do: DO NOT PAY THIS COMPANY!!! Instead, contact directly Gerry or Colin at Joanna Connolly Solicitors, Liverpool at anytime, they are the BEST Legal A-Team I have ever used! They legally assisted me most recently against PRA Group Debt Collectors for a totally unenforceable 10+ year old alleged credit card debt that PRA Group had just bought randomly from a Bank!
