Absolutely wonderful tour.
I will HIGHLY recommend to everyone.

Our driver Steve picked some of the best small family wineries possible. During a guest speaker presentation from Marla @DomaineRiviere.com at a business event, I learned that wine tasting/enjoyment was as much about the story of the wine as the wine itself.

2 of the 3 wineries Steve picked had fantastic stories.

Luxton Cellars is owned by a witty, Australian Physicist. And the wine was incredible - did I mention I don't even like wine?

Ty Caton Vineards had a fantastic story teller (Paul) who kept our group engaged the entire time we were there, with his stories about the winery - and a few of his own! The wine there was incredible as well. We joined the wine club.... did I mention I don't even like wine?

This was all Steve's handi-work. He was a fantastic guide, super friendly, very knowledgeable. He took care of us the entire trip, including labeling and gathering purchased wines to the bus for us.

We could not stop talking about Platypus nor the tour. Cannot recommend it higher, and we will be touring with them again the next time we are there. And I think that I have begun to appreciate and certainly enjoy wine, like never before. Thanks Steve!

Our guide,Army, was great. Took us to great wineries and was flexible on the timing.

The host Courtney who was the driver/tour leader was great always attentive.
The bus layout like a u meant we all faced each other which led to a convivial atmosphere as we talked and got to know each other.

The wine tastings at 3 small wineries were enjoyable, and I discovered why Cabernet Sauvignon is the king of the Napa Valley.
Im a bit hard of hearing so I would have welcomed the wine tutors speaking through a mouthpiece.

I felt also the boxed lunch should be improved or a more expensive option given.

I felt also one of the 3 tastings would benefit from being at a large winery thus giving the visitor a larger view of the whole Napa valley experience

The knowledge of our tour guide was impressive! He was so friendly and we knew right away this trip was going to be fun!

We really loved our wine tour with Courtney! We were able to visit a few smaller, lesser known wineries with great wine!

A lovely day spent with a few new friends enjoying sips along the way.

Great way to spend your first day in Napa! We toured smaller, boutique wineries. Just our group on each tour which was a nice, intimate setting where we could ask questions. Lots of fun and interesting people in the group and fun and knowledgeable host. The only thing that would have made it PERFECT would be to feature a wider variety of wines to sample. Nearly all were reds and dry. Was a great day!

The wineries chosen were a great match for our tastes. Courtney was very fun and commutative.

Amazing beautiful tour. We were very pleased with the beautiful wineries. The wine was absolutely wonderful and the owners and staff was awesome.

Our guide shared Napa Valley from a local’s perspective, blending history, insider knowledge, and playful humor that kept the tour fun and engaging. I learned so much about the area, including the town’s Michelin-star restaurant scene and rich culture. The scenic ride made the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. Highly recommend this tour!

My fourth wine tour with Platypus and it just got better! Three wineries instead of four meant more time at each, more stories about the winery and their wines…and more pours of their wines! As expected, platypus tour guide was so knowledgeable. Our seven guests were great friends by the end of the tour. Thank you again, Platypus!

This was our second time using Platypus Tours, and both experiences have been fantastic. Our driver was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and even helpful at several of the wineries. He also made transporting our purchases easy by providing a box compatible with airline checked‑bag requirements, which was a huge bonus. The join‑in tour format made it fun to meet new people, and the winery selections were spot‑on; we bought wine at all three stops and even joined a wine club. We’ll absolutely book with Platypus Tours again.

The whole day was great. Loved the small group, the winery choices and Army, our guide was helpful, informative and accommodating.
