Exceptional work ethics displayed
Picnic Mortgages has been the best part of this whole mortgage process, honestly. We finally got our offer through and a huge part of that is down to Nicola Ross.
What stood out most was how she treated us. Every phone call, she never rushed us off, never made us feel like we were just another file on her desk. She has this way of explaining things, breaking down all the jargon into plain English, so by the end of a call we actually understood what was happening with our case rather than just nodding along.
She kept us in the loop constantly. If she was going on leave, she told us in advance so we weren't left wondering. The moment she was back, she was straight on it, checking in and updating us on where things stood. That kind of communication made a genuinely stressful process feel manageable.
No question felt too small or too silly to ask her. She'd take the time, every single time, and at the end of each conversation she'd check we were clear on everything before we hung up. That attention to detail, and to us as people rather than a transaction, is rare.
Her work ethic is exceptional. This was also the case with Emeric, the insurance broker, he was superb. Their dashboard is also very user friendly and easy to navigate so well done to their IT team too.
If you want a smooth ride with your mortgage, this team is the hidden gem.

If you want peace of mind, no hidden fees, fast acting, securing your best offer mortgage you have these guys very knowledgeable, kind and helpful, I got my best offer in no time, however please rest assured they will try to setup things in few days and got you approved ASAP, Faye, Astie, Anton, and all the advisors are great.

Signed up through go-compare and have been bombarded with calls and texts. I find this really off-putting and have now blocked the calls. I wouldn't have left a rubbish review, but I did text back to say I was in work and would call back at a time that was appropriate to me. They obviously didn't listen and tried to call again, in the middle of the day.

Useless and annoying
Another website that promises to show you mortgage rates, makes you fill a lot of personal data, doesn't give you any information whatsoever and then annoys you with unscheduled calls (they should now that's considered very rude by today's standards).

They really made it easy
Entering the world of home buying for the first time. I had no idea what to expect. But from the first phone call, everyone at picnic have been welcoming, honest and supportive. The level of detail the put into the first steps makes it really clear what you can borrow and the realistic figure makes it so much easier to search for properties. Everyone I have dealt with have been fantastic. And they made the daunting process an absolute breeze. Their website is fantastic. Makes it so clear what step you are at and if anything is needed. And check in regularly so you are not left wandering what is happening.
