First time buyer and have never spoken…
First time buyer and have never spoken to a mortgage adviser before but from my experience it has been so easy, they do all the leg work, and organise a solicitor who pretty much have an identical approach as above. Just had to send the odd document when requested.

Highly recommend!
Highly recommend! Overall, excellent service - there's a whole team dedicated to you, everything is explained perfectly well, communication seamless. I went to Picnic having had a mortgage application rejected and got moved on by my previous broker. One call with Picnic gave me confidence to do another application and less than 3 weeks later, I got the good news!

Very poor service once paid and do not resolve issues in a timely manner
UPDATE: Since writing the review below and Picnic Mortgages being paid for a service, I have not had my re-mortgage finalised yet due to them not sending the documentation to the Solicitors (which they recommended to me). Please be aware that you are required to pay for the services they have provided as soon as you agree to accept the re-mortgage offer even though the re-mortgage has not been finalised. Once you have paid they take away your ability to book a call with the relevant people if you have a query or issue that needs to be resolved, you can still send a message, however, these are often ignored and I have now made a formal complaint about this company which is being investigated.
Great service provided by all staff at each stage of my re-mortgage process, very friendly, polite and helpful, always available at a convenient time for me if I wanted to speak to someone through the call booking process. Guides were very helpful too and explained everything I needed to know at each stage of the process.

constantly harassed by phone calls
wouldn't have signed up if I realised it was going to be a phone service rather than online. been absolutely hounded by phone calls and texts from them, blocked at least 2 numbers possibly 3. emailed the day I signed up requesting data deletion which has been ignored so far and has 15 days left to respond to before they are in breach of GDPR.

Very easy process

Just secured our mortgage through…
Just secured our mortgage through Picnic! We didn't have bad credit but had a complex situation with employment and source of funds etc. Secured us a mortgage with rates we were comfortable with. I didn't realise there was a book a call function for a while though so I did rely on replies to messages at times, but once I found this feature it was much better! It is really simple to send your documents over and all round so handy!
Big thanks to Matthew, Shannon and also Oliver who has a lot of time for you to speak about what is right for you personally.

We’re sorry to read this. Nobody who uses our service should feel that their mortgage application has been allowed to drift or that they haven't been kept in the loop throughout the process.
Being left waiting for updates is understandably frustrating. However, getting a mortgage can never be guaranteed, and applications with more complex requirements often take longer to reach a conclusion, which ultimately rests with the mortgage lenders, not ourselves.
It appears on this occasion, we’re still awaiting an update from the lender with their decision. Rest assured, once we hear from them, our Picnic Director, Kerry-Ann Davies, will contact you.

Not respectful of time
I had a meeting scheduled with a mortgage advisor that was planned over a week in advance. My advisor called 20 minutes late when I had already moved back to my workday, left no message or email to attempt to reschedule, and followed up days later with the message "I've tried to contact you a number of times but unfortunately haven't been able to reach you". I suppose technically "one" is a number. For a purchase of hundreds of thousands that spans multiple decades, being timely and communicative feels like a pretty low bar. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
