An absolute disaster: nib Thrive plan management

An absolute disaster with nib Thrive taking over plan management for most of my NDIS participants. As a provider of health professional services, my practice manager and I have spent many hours chasing up unpaid invoices. Most of the time we have been on hold for 1.5+ hours. The call centre staff are friendly but have no idea what's going on. We have sent multiple emails regarding unpaid invoices with no response, While on hold I did a little research and found that this is a common experience for other providers. We should all be compensated for our time by nib Thrive.

And then I found this on a website... "“Our vision for nib Thrive is to provide participants with an end-to-end and integrated experience as it relates to plan design, procurement of support services and ongoing management of those support services and participants’ budget. Essentially, this would involve merging the functions of the Local Area Coordinators, Support Coordinators and Plan Managers and viewing these as all “intermediaries”." Source: NIB Thrive NDIS Submission SUB-W1V2-003842, Page 2." This would bring an end to choice and control of these services for participants and bring the whole system to a grinding halt.

These are the actions you may wish to consider as a matter of priority: find an alternative plan manager to avoid the heartache and report experiences to the Quality and Safeguards Commission.

-0 stars would be more appropriate! Have not been paid for 4 weeks, being a sole trader and having no other source of income l am in great financial stress because of these moronic scammers. Unfortunately 70% of my weekly income is coming through Nib Thrive, did not even know a merger had happened until l queried why my first missing invoice that had not been paid! have had to borrow money from family to put petrol in my car and food in my belly, don’t even get me started on my mortgage payments that l have been unable to pay! My clients are now moving to a small local plan manager. The funding is already allocated to my business so there is no reason why my weekly invoices have not been paid, better pay me the interest is all l can say! Same issues as everyone else with trying to contact them, no reply to any of my many emails, 2 hrs waits to get through if they don’t hang up on you first! And no one knows anything or talks absolute BS Sh!t show all around!

Do not waste your time

***Find another provider you can contact easily. ***

Absolute Mess, Nib Thrive has taken over a few smaller company's and invoices are not paid. You cannot contact a human, you sit on hold for hours. Your told the same story " were experiencing a high number of calls ". The only way you get a response is a bad review via Google. Facebook reviews have been taken down so they can no longer get any more bad reviews.Unsure why they want to ring. Pay the invoices I'm not wasting more time. My client has now chosen a smaller local company to change to. This company is not worth your time.

NIB THRIVE is the worst plan manager…

NIB THRIVE is the worst plan manager took over from peak plan management and so far nothing but trouble. Invoices over due, never returning emails or answering there phone or keeping you on hold only to hang up on you. Will def not recommend them.

NIB thrive took over Maple Plan, and now my support workers have not been paid for 3 weeks & have turned their back thanks to NIB thrive incompetence, I need my support workers in order to keep my life on track.

Very unprofessional & will not pay invoices in a timely manner

Trust Pilot - please allow for zero stars on your rating. NIB Thrive has taken over several NDIS plan managers and are totally incompetent. Invoices are lost, not paid, returned even when correct to be corrected. Invoices are not uploaded to the portal and therefore not paid. Emails go unanswered and wait times for a phone call to be answered take 2+ hours. NIB Thrive's incompetence compromises NDIS participants care and safety. Currently owed thousands from NIB in unpaid invoices.
Please advise all of your participants to avoid this company at all costs.

Don't waste your time

Prior to NIB Thrive taking over Connect Plan Management, all invoices were paid in a timely manner and phone calls were answered in a timely manner. Since the takeover however, invoices are always overdue, phone calls leave the caller on hold for over 20 minutes and all in all the service is totally substandard. From what I understand, participants are leaving NIB Thrive in droves, and I don't know any support coordinators who are actually recommending this company. If it were possible to give minus stars, this is how I would rate NIB Thrive - shocking!

Multiple outstanding invoices, no response on email or phone

NIB Thrive have multiple outstanding invoices for my providers and now they are threatening to pull services from me because there is a backlog of unopened and unpaid invoices

I tried calling them but was on hold for over 1.5hrs with the same hold music. I tried to escalate the issue by emailing them directly on the enquiries line, claims line and provider support. Their inaction is causing major barriers in terms of long standing supports I have had.

Do not use NibThrive

Since NibThrive has taken over Maple Plan the transistion has been awful. My providers are still waiting to be paid on invoices from the first of November. Call them up after waiting up to a hour to have somebody tell you I don't know. Nobody ever knows anything. They are very rude and don't seem to care one way or another if they help you. I'm in the process of finding another manager. NibThrive is the worst I have ever encountered with any type of business.

Back again.

I found more stolen funds and they will still not transfer the money they are claiming with my invoices into my account. They are having financial difficulties and hanging on to stolen funds for dear life. Don't fall for "transitioning issues" they have plenty of time to play games, but no time to transfer funds they are claiming with other businesses invoices. STOP WITH THE PERFORMATIVE EMAILS AND CALLS AND HIT THE TRASFER BUTTON!!! And you might want to consider that with the formal investigations NDIS are able to see what you are doing and you have been reported.

Absolutely disgraceful

Absolutely disgraceful! Business owner for 7years and Invoicing using the NDIS price guide. And they are now trying to say that the line items are incorrect. The same ones written in the NDIA price guide.
This makes no sense!
I have participants in 24/7 care and they are going to send my company broke as we are 60k behind in reimbursements. They scheduled there emails to go out at night so they clearly don’t have services calling them to correct their errors.

Nib thrive-terrible NDIS plan manager.

Nib thrive recently took over budget net as NDIS plan managers. The whole process has been very difficult as a participant. They are slow to process invoices, staff are duplicating the work of others and I am being emailed about every invoice even if it is an authorised provider. I much preferred the careview app with budget net. The service is terrible as on hold for over 15 minutes. I have decided to find a smaller provider to manage my NDIS plan.

Appalling customer service with online…

Appalling customer service with online chat representative "Tracey". Contacted NIB to clarify what needed correcting on an invoice, was spoken to (via chat), like I was trying to run a fraud scam. NIB contact "Tracey"'s language was both condescending and accusatory. Adios NIB, we are looking for a new health fund today.

Shame on NIB …

After reading all the reviews about NIB I am very happy they declined my application for life insurance, they asked me to lose 30kgs then they may consider to cover me what a joke!!!!. Took them 6 weeks to get back to me and they sent the letter to my old address!!!.. while i was waiting on NIb to make up thier minds, I got fed up and got life cover with some other company which was alot cheaper and they didn't want blood tests and they where ok with my weight. Shame on NIB my partner is going to cancel with you now. Wasted my time and $$ on the medical I had to and do running around after NIB for notthing.

Slow in refund even with pre-approval approved!

Joined NIB 2016 until now. Life is hard, funds are tough, NIB so slow.
Really tempting to make complaint to Insurance Council of New Zealand.
I don’t want to click on 1 star, but there’s no option.
NIB is very very slow on refund the money back even you have pre-approval already approved sitting there! 3 times I had to call n call for refund, keep saying sorry sorry, 8 workings day ….. funds been pre- approved, just lodge banking online and click pay and refund it….. how hard is that …
Don’t go with NIB, they very very slow with claim refund.
I have to keep delaying my treatments because I don’t have funds sitting there for private specialists treatment, as public hospital taking too long to treat, I have to pay the treatment myself, and wait for the claim money to refund back to me, so I can use that money to meets other ends needs.
If I have funds sitting to pay upfront n wait for claim refund, what the point of me have health insurance?
Thinking about NIB, just don’t …

I have never been so disappointed with…

I have never been so disappointed with the treatment of your Accounts Dept. Spoke to a Robyn and she kept speaking over me and trying to intimidate me and did not listen to what i was saying. I am now looking for another provider since NIB has changed their system in corporate from debiting our salary to depending on the customer to do all the work for you ! And then having your system continuously taking money from people’s Accounts and giving the excuses of Arrears ? When the transition was complete in the first instance ! I feel NIB is now Fraudulently taking my money. I would like to see if my money will be returned. The old system was better. Because of Robyn’s attitude and your inadequate system I will be seeking another Health insurance provider.

Sad and dissapointed

I am a new customer of Nib I’m sad and dissapointed because they said so many good things to me but it wasn’t actually true , I wanted to trust them but it came up that all what ha have been adviced for wasn’t true, at the beginning they told me that they will be the one to pay the invoice for doctor check up, and doctor automatically send the invoice to them but it end up that I have received an invoice and doctor emailed me saying , We do not hold your Southern Cross claim number, and are not accepting any new ones. Why do I have to get stress about it ?? Second is the bloodtest I went to do my bloodtest and asking me to direct pay all I know is and nib told me that they will email it to them but it’s not, ofcourse it was on the spot and my money is budget for my kids school fees and stuff, so I have to wait until I get extra so I can pay the bloodtest nib told me they will refund it. Ok, 3rd is since I am waiting to get an extra money for my bloodtest I have spoken one of the team of nib that they will hold on my application till end of the month so I am happy with that by the end of the month I called back and I heard that they cancelled my application two weeks ago!! I was like what ??? The lady I have spoken with told me that they can wait till end of the month , the other lady I have spoken with on the end of the month make me look stupid and liar, yes she wasn’t saying directly that I am lying but that is what it sounds like. I was very dissapointed that this is how they treat customer. I was thinking now if I should continue trusting them with my money if this is how they treat customers making promises but it wasn’t actually true.

Beware!

Beware!!
I cancelled my insurance policy within 2 days to be able to claim my full premium under cooling-off period of 30 days. They still charged me 6 dollars. When called to ask why, they started making stories.
Stay away from this dodgy company.

I wish there was a zero star

I wish there was a zero srar! It took 7 weeks for them to process my claim (with me chasing them up) for surgery. Definitely not the timeframes they advertise on their site! Every interaction is impersonal and probably AI generated responses. I had to request a real person reply to me. In the end they rejected my claim due to having fibroids on a scan 9 years ago when my surgery was for a growing ovarian cyst which painfully ruptured afterwards. The wait was so stressful and lack of service appalling. Do not use this health provider! Wish I had read reviews first.

Call Centre is run by muppets

Trying to get hold of a human made me loose all will. I phoned 4 times - each time on hold for over 30 minutes. So terrible when you have to hear the pre recording every 45 secs - all for trying to pay them money. Rubbish.
