This was a very easy setup. I had bought a different brand which was extremely hard to set up and then didn't even work. So I approached this purchase with a little trepidation. I have been very please with how it works. Hopefully it will last more than a year. Really makes owning an indoor cat a breeze.

When we found an adorable stray kitten in the desert last year, and I wanted to keep her but I debated it. And the main reason being I never wanted to have to scoop a litter box again. But as my husband fell in love with the kitten and wanted to keep it, I looked into automatic litter boxes for us. I was reading some of the bad reviews, and I realized there was a few frustrating moments where the button turned a color I didn’t understand or the machine seem to be malfunctioning. However, after talking to customer service and watching some videos on YouTube, I’m a year and an half into owning this machine and it is 100% trouble free for me. The customer service was really helpful when I decided to purchase a new tray that was deeper and holds more litter. I had to change that out myself and I did it backwards so that the magnets that make the box rotate weren’t working anymore. After I sent a video they were able to fix this. But nowadays, all I have to do is open the litter tray, put in another bag and close it. Amazing! I love that I never have to scoop. And I’ve always provided an alternative traditional litter box and the kitty only uses the robot! She has a clear preference for the robot. I think she prefers that there’s no cat litter smell and her robot box flushes itself? She likes to sit and watch it sift. And I always make sure to use unscented litter, which I think actually helps make for a totally odor free house. I have to say having a cat and not having to scoop the litter box is a dream come true. I love this product and I think it was worth the money.

The product was shipped within a reasonable time frame. Everything in the box was in great shape. Once my cat took to the box, he just loves it. He sometimes just jumps in a scratches around and leaves. I'm very happy with the product. I highly recommend this litter box. It keeps the smell down that no one knows that you have a cat. Again a great product

Our cat was afraid of the other self cleaning litter box because it has a lid on it. This type is more like a regular litter box so she has stopped pooping on the floor. Also - way less problems than the robot litter box. I also love that the collector part can be cleaned easily and you don’t have to use a plastic bag if you don’t want to.

I love my Neakasa dog groomer. I have a long hair, two coat, black and white dog and she sheds a lot. Using the Neakasa groomer on her has cut down
on the loose hair that is usually all over my house. She also loves to be groomed with it. In fact, she asks to be groomed(by getting on the couch where I groom her and woofing for me to come groom her?)

I've bought an M1 litterbox and it is a great product. Unfortunately it did stop working after about a month but I immediately contacted the support and they sent me all the new parts right away. The problem was resolved in less than a week and since then it has been working fine. It is a good product and it does what it is supposed to except there are obviously some bugs in there. Luckily their support was extremely quick and efficient with resolving the issue.

Since I got the Neakase N3 robot, it has been unreliable, always complaining about bumpers being stuck (and they were not), intermittently not showing map position. Now it's stopped working after a few months. Neakase support asked for proof (which was provided). Robot was bought through a reseller (new) who appears to have gone out of business. Neakase refuses to help, and does not want to respect the product guarantee. Best never to purchase Neakase products.

We were very excited to get this automatic litter box! It has been nothing but a disappointment, from the second we got it! We have a large cat and therefore that is why I purchased this one, it said it could accommodate a large cat!
It has to be changed every time the cat goes to the restroom, just like a regular litter box. The tray says it’s always full and the cats urine and poo gets stuck in the sensor, which makes it think it’s full. we are constantly having to empty the tray and clean out the area around the sensor, where the feces and urine gets stuck.
We are going to try to return and get our money back and are very disappointed.
It’s such a shame because it had good reviews, but also had a few bad reviews and I ignored those! I might as well have a regular litter box if I’m having to clean it every day as I had done in the past before purchasing this electric litter box!
This is very upsetting because I was looking so forward to getting an electric litter box!

I absolutely love Neakasa - fantastic products. MUCH better than the other ones out there. Cats love it and actually use it.

First experience of a self cleaning litter tray, malfunctioned on the first use, literally one cat had a wee and it tipped the whole litter into the bin which then sent notifications to my phone that it needed emptying - really really disappointed, I bought from a recommendation on Facebook and regret it straight away, I am going to be sending this back and asking for a full refund, REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE so unhappy

I’ve had this machine for over 9 months and This is by far the most troublesome machine that I’ve ever bought. No exaggeration, at least twice a month something is wrong with this thing. Somehow the waste-bin is always full. And I don’t mean that literally, the sensor is always saying that the waste-bin is full. The cat litter sensor isn’t an issue because it doesn’t stop the machine from rotating but this thing always has some sort of error flashing. I have to take the entire thing apart and reset it a thousand times over and over before it decided to finally start working. It also waists so much litter. Not to mention the app, besides the name theres just not enough options for the interfacing. If you need to troubleshoot the machine it gives you two options and there’s only one troubleshooting video that they show you. How are there so many types of errors but only one troubleshooting aid? This is the most expensive machine that I’ve ever bought and it’s more delicate than a flower. One of the biggest buyer’s remorse situations of my life. I will however say, I do love that it’s not a rotating barrel so litter doesn’t get stuck in their fur. The machine also doesn’t allow you to overfill the waste bin, which is usually a good thing until it’s an error and then you’re stuck with a loud beeping expensive box.

The company’s customer service is completely unacceptable. I have been trying for three months to get a replacement unit for a clearly defective product. Instead of honoring the warranty and replacing the unit, they repeatedly sent random motor parts and instructed me to disassemble the entire machine myself—“replace this,” “swap that,” “send another video.” All of these issues were reported before the warranty expired.
I have sent well over twenty emails and still have no resolution. There has been zero meaningful product support and no accountability.
Do NOT buy this product. If something goes wrong, you could be out $500 with no real support or replacement.

I purchased the Neakasa self-cleaning litter box for my Maine Coon cat. Since he's so tall, he needed the open top box. This has been a game changer for us, and I highly recommend it. It's well worth the price because it saves my time and eliminates odor. I purchase replacement bags from Neakasa, and they're conveniently delivered to my door.

The box is very easy to clean, but it consistently gives me inaccurate messages about the box being full right after I've changed the waste bag. I had a space limitation so I had to give away my Litter Robot 4 and get this litter box. This is in no way a comparable auto litter box compared to the Litter Robot 4. I only have two cats and I'm having to change the waste bag every other day. There is NO notification about how full the bag is. If you have the space, go for the Litter Robot. The only positive thing I can see using the Neakasa is the ease in changing the waste bag.
Added info on 3/8/26: The litter box consistently drops dirty clumps of litter outside the box. Somehow they fall out and make a mess. The unit is at least 6 inches from the wall. Also, the poop clumps somehow drop on the side where they get smashed and scraped along the outside of the box that goes up and down. Just very nasty. I'm getting very close to throwing this in the garbage and possibly getting the Litter Robot 5 EVO. I would advise against buying the Neakasa.

Bought the Neakasa M1 at launch. Worked for a while, then, 1.5 years later, a sensor started to fail, making it unusable.
The box is under warranty but the customer support does not answer. I have a glorified 400€ brick now, even after 5 mails/tickets over a month.
There is no part available anywhere, no way to fix it on the software side either.
The app that goes with the litterbox is also one of the worst experience I've seen too, for what its worth.

Like the openness of the auto litter, but sometimes poop gets dislodged when it self cleans and falls out bc top is too open

TERRIBLE customer service outside of the US. While the box is acceptable, I ordered bags from their site twice, and twice, I received notices that the packages were damaged and had to be returned. When you contact support or call them, they all say we will speak to our supervisors, whom I asked to speak directly with, and they said you can't because they all work in China. Just by the app's wonky issues and their customer service approach, and the standards by which things are manufactured in ths country (and I work in China 6 months out of the year, so I know personally), I am nervous that this box may injure my cat. Buyer beware.....it may be worth more money to pay for peace of mind with an American made product. I hate to say that, but it's just a matter of consumer confidence. Order any parts or bags from Amazon - you'll get a better warranty and service there.
