Good size, well equipped and well located giving easy access to the town centre. On the not so positive side: only one window in the whole apartment, the walls and carpets were badly marked and the shower door handle and shower rail were broken. Also when I reported that the sink plug was jammed, meaning it wasn’t possible to empty the sink, I didn’t receive a response and the fault wasn’t fixed

The down side was the heating system that kept on going off at short intervals.
I called to complain and the property promised to get the maintenance team to fix it but this was not done

This apartment was absolutely amazing very clean tidy and very home feel like! Owner communication was absolutely amazing had to call out of hours at one night and answered and helped us as much as possible. So we really appreciate this thank you!
There was a couple of neighbours I would watch as one lady was looking at us through the window multiple times and very rude. Someone had locked the door on the inside so we were unable to get in we were told to knock it woke her up and she let us in eventually, but she was very rude and wasn’t listening to us as we wouldn’t have been able to get back into the apartment not sure why it got locked as there is a code to get in the front door! A man also came and knocked on the door on the last day complaining about the noise but this was from previous nights and days later. he was asking me why I was staying here when I’m leaving and what time which made me feel uncomfortable . Baring in mind there is noise monitors in the room that allows the owners to tell us when it is too loud. Not sure why he didn’t approach us before when at this time there wasn’t any tv on at all! I did see them talking outside too so just watch them as very rude and nosey!
Nothing to do with the apartment or anything and the owners were very lovely and helpful so really appreciate this:)
Kinetics Apartments, Talbot Road
Stayed at one of their properties in Manchester - Kinetics Apts.
Checked in - within an hour, water leaking from the kitchen ceiling, reported the issue and apparently the cleaners NEVER CLEANED THE PROPERTY PROPERLY AND NEVER CHECKED THE WATER FLOW FROM THE BATHROOM.
The heater in the bedroom wasn’t working and yet we were NOT informed!!
Before checking in, we were charged £100 for “cleaning fee”, when cleaners didn’t even clean the apartment properly!!!
Then 3 weeks after we checked out, we were charged another £150 for the water damage!!!
THE WATER WAS ALREADY LEAKING WHEN WE CHECKED IN!!!
Absolutely NOT returning here!!!!
They are just scammers
We booked the flat they have in Blackburn next to the station, and guess what? No heating in the cold of January, a filthy kitchen, a faulty fire alarm and clogged sinks. We have been in chat with them and they offered a refund but they asked to pay for one night because we already checked in, what a joke. By the way, the refund was never received and they don’t reply to my emails anymore.

Amazing apartments.
We stayed in southwood house apartments this weekend for a family get together. We were all so impressed. We used 3 apartments altogether. Every one was beautiful. Immaculate and had everything you would need for your stay. I would highly recommend them if you’re looking for somewhere to stay and we will definitely return.

had a very disappointing experience with this property hosting company. Communication was absolutely terrible—emails and requests were ignored, leaving me completely in the dark. When issues arose, such as problems with the property, I reached out multiple times and never received a response. It felt like they simply didn’t care about their guests or providing a good experience.
For a company in the hospitality business, this level of neglect is unacceptable. Guests deserve timely and clear communication, especially when things go wrong. I would not recommend booking with them unless you’re okay with being left on your own if any problems arise.
Terrible customer service and poor business
I had a terrible experience with them hosting me at one of the properties. I could never contact them, they never fixed any issues I informed them about. No staff is ever on site and it is very difficult trying to talk to someone from that company. The whole thing was very unprofessional, lacked care and the cleanliness was the worst i had ever stayed in. I had to buy and clean it myself after going in. Do not use and would not recommend
New year 3 night stay in suite 15 Derby Hardwick House
PROS: Early check in was granted, nice apartment, clean and fresh. Modern kitchen and furniture, quality linen/bedding, efficient electric hearing system. Lift to all 5 floors. Fantastic location, easy walk to city centre. Good parking for £3 a night, although this charge is not mentioned on booking.com. Good washer/dryer and dishwasher, large fridge freezer and ironing facilities. Wifi and Netflix. Plenty of hot water and good showers.
CONS: No wifi for first 24 hours, a major inconvenience. No Privacy as windows are large and if on lower floors you are on view to everyone else. Blinds in addition to the curtains would solve this. Stains on coffee table. Small towel rails in bathrooms is all you have to hang anything. Hooks on bathroom doors would solve this. Grab rail in bath area would be handy, we are not all steady on our feet! A couple of detergent pods for the washing machine/dishwasher would be handy.

A decent experience with some improvements needed
I booked an apartment at Balmoral House with My Property Host through Booking. The process was straightforward although I know this is owed to Booking and not My Property Host (as I didn't book direct but may be tempted to in the future). The first issue was the ad on Booking did not state there was a deposit due and this was confirmed by a woman I spoke to on the phone after calling this company. This was waivered which I found to be a good gesture and dealt with this swiftly. The apartment was of a decent standard, it was clean, kept heat well, and well presented although there was damp in the bedroom which seemed to get worse as I stayed (stayed for 7 nights) and there was significant wear and tear throughout that needed attending to. The outside of the property was a disgrace with piles of rubbish bags overflowing in the bin collection areas as well as rubbish scattered in and around the complex which was very off-putting but I assume this has something to do with the complex itself and/or the management of the complex, and not this company so my rating isn't affected by this although it was terrible as a guest to experience and made me question the standards of the building. Looking at reviews this seems to have been a problem for some time and fortunately it didn't extend my entire stay as it seems the management of the building arranged for the horrendous mess to be cleaned up on Christmas Eve. Getting access to the property was straightforward as I was met by someone from the company who was present at time of check-in (which is always a relief!) who showed me around and give me necessary information. Overall it was a satisfactory experience which is why I consider it to be 4/5. Had the information regarding the deposit had been transparent and visible on the ad (a very important part of paying for accommodation) I would have happily provided a higher rating. The communication through Booking was great throughout my stay from the very start to the very end and it did appear like the manager of the property/company was striving to provide a high standard. Most importantly, at least for myself, the process was largely hassle free (except for the concerns about the deposit) and it was straight forward. I booked, turned up to collect the keys, stayed for the duration, cleaned up and left - and that is how it should be!
Central location. Low-end property
Great and central location. On our first night, we noticed that (I) the bathtub drain was blocked, and (ii) the en-suite bedroom carpet was wet (mildly flooded) all through. I called and was told someone will come next day to check - no one showed up. Instead I was getting repeat messages from the host to leave the property in a habitable state before we check out. I had to find a way to unclog the drain by myself.
