I travelled to Spain and hired a hoist for the time there. I called the abroad number for mobility equipment hire direct to help with the issues. The issues were resolved efficiently and I was happy with the outcome. Thank you for service and help provided.

I hired a heavy duty mobility scooter for 1 week; 27/4/2024, for use in Albufeira, Portugal. I contacted the manager of the apartment, to check that he was willing to receive the scooter ( which he was) and booked it. On arrival the scooter was waiting for me and I had a suitable accommodation on the ground floor. Having the scooter transformed my holiday and I was able to get out and about the area.
Fortunately I hired the heavy duty scooter. I don’t know how a lighter weight one would have coped with the cobbles and uneven ground. After my first outing, I wasn’t feeling very confident or comfortable, but I did go out every day and found ways to be more comfortable.
The pavements, kerbs, and road surfaces are not conducive for people who are in too much pain. At times I had extra distance to travel to find somewhere to mount or dismount onto the ground.
Fortunately people in Portugal are very friendly and go out of their way to help…( when I got lost on my adventures).
Being able to hire the mobility scooter really transformed my holiday into something special.

Mike was a pleasure to do business with, it would have been better if we didn’t go through the other company to hire the equipment because it would have been cheaper dealing with you directly also the other company tells fibs when you are looking to hire equipment. Mike when we go back I will deal with you directly, I don’t know if you can get equipment at other countries going through you.

Needed to hire a wheelchair for 1 week, due to having to have it delivered on a Saturday had to pay £33. On the form I filled in informed them that would be there after 3pm. Got to our bungalow to find a card through the door that it was tried to be delivered at 9.30am. Well got in touch with the company to have to rearrange delivery. We managed to get it delivered later that day. Wheelchair was light weight and easy to use. When it was due for us to go home we had to make arrangements for a pick up. We asked for collection on Friday. No one came, we ended up having to ask a neighbour who was nice enough to help. It wasn’t until Monday that it was picked up. I did email a complaint but it was a waste of time.

Great service. Ordered a scooter and it was left at the reception for my arrival and collected after I left. The scooter really helped me get about on my holiday and I would have been lost without it.

Need to find better third party companies who can adhere to financial contracts agreed and don’t let anyone down who relies on equipment like a huge hoist. It’s obvious persons paid
Few hundred pounds to hire because they have no other means and desperate enough need a hoist to hire one and unbelievable the third party company mobility assistance in Birmingham never turned up. Phone mannerisms communication were very rude.
However, to motability direct hire don’t offer an emergency 24 hour line if you’re not going to answer. That’s not good enough either. We could have resolved something yesterday had you answered to try get hoist in asap but you failed me there too. Appreciate the sincere apologies I hope you stick to your word and refund and compensate. Thank you.
