DO NOT USE - I have been ignored by this company for the past two months. They are wrongly keeping hold of my money and are not responding to any of my emails.
The customer service is absolutely appalling, it feels borderline fraudulent. How can a business completely ignore its customer? Would not recommend, go elsewhere, where they actually care about vulnerable customers.

Fab service - stress free wheelchair hire
The website wasn’t great as it kept adding a different product to the basket, however I called the number and the lady I spoke to was very helpful. I had broken my ankle and had a lot of events coming up which involved walking long distances. I needed something affordable which would arrive quickly! By the next day I had a lovely wheelchair delivered to the door. It was clean and in good condition, was perfect for my requirements. Two weeks later they arranged collection. Everything was really easy- literally zero hassle from my perspective. Thanks so much for everything!

We are sorry to hear you feel this way. We would like to clarify the situation, as it appears there may have been a misunderstanding about how the credit on your account works.
When a credit is applied to an account, it isn’t lost or kept by us. If the hire comes to an end, any remaining credit is refunded to the original payment card. If the hire continues, the credit is simply used towards the ongoing rental payments.
We appreciate that this may not have been clear, and we’re sorry for any confusion caused. We always want our customers to understand exactly how their payments and credits are being handled, and we’re happy to clarify this whenever needed.

2 wheelchair issues
Update following the company's response:
I find it very convenient that the company has chosen to mention that I refused the lift to my destination, whilst leaving out the reason why I refused it.
Yes, I did refuse the lift. I chose to do so because I did not want to disrupt other customers day as a result of the situation I was already dealing with, which I explained to staff at the company.
I didn't feel comfortable potentially holding up other people's day because mobility hire weren’t able to deliver a wheelchair with tyres at the appropriate PSI for their customers needs.
I find it rather embarrassing that the company has chosen to present the fact that I refused the lift without providing any of the context behind that decision. If you're going to include that part of the story, perhaps the circumstances surrounding it should be included too.
I paid £365 for 2 weeks powerchair rental.
The chair arrived and upon using it, 4 minutes into leaving my home the castor wheel buckled and the wheel completely gave way. This left me completely stranded in the road and relying on passers by to drag me onto the pavement.
The rubber had completely cracked and the metal popped out of the wheel, when trying to use a small dropped kerb.
Mobility hire arranged for this to be collected and a new powerchair delivered to me 5 days later.
When this powerchair arrived, it came with 2 flat tyres. The lovely technician had to take it to a petrol station to put some air in, and I had to travel with a portable tyre pump on my overnight trip, incase this was a slow puncture. Due to this issue, I missed my planned public transport and had to rearrange my entire day.
Paying this amount of money I expected a safe, convenient and reliable service, however was provided with 2 inadequate products and an incredible amount of stress.
2 out of 2 of the products I received from this company arrived with issues, which highlights to me a clear issue in making sure the products that are rented, are fit for purpose.
My confidence using a wheelchair has now been greatly knocked, I’m paranoid every lip on the pavement will bust a wheel, and am checking for flat tyres every 10 minutes when out, in fear of being stranded.
Whilst all staff I’ve encountered have been apologetic and kind, this doesn’t take away from the poor quality of service I received, and the sheer impact it had on me.

Being left stranded because of a wheel failure is understandably frightening, and we completely appreciate why this has affected your confidence in using a powerchair.
Our equipment is serviced and safety checked before hire, so the issue with the first chair was certainly not what we would expect. We arranged for it to be collected and a replacement powerchair delivered as soon as we could. We’re also sorry that the replacement chair arrived with the tyres needing adjustment. In this case, the tyres simply needed more air to suit your requirements rather than having punctures, and our technician attended to this for you.
We also appreciate how frustrating it was when your plans were disrupted. We did offer to take you to the train station to help minimise the inconvenience, although on this occasion you decided not to take up the offer. We completely understand that you had already experienced a difficult day and respect your decision.
We know that none of this takes away from the frustration you experienced, particularly after the first chair developed a serious fault so soon after leaving home. One of the benefits of hiring a powerchair is that if something does go wrong, we can arrange a replacement rather than leaving a customer waiting for repairs or parts, and we’re sorry that on this occasion the experience fell short of the reliability and reassurance you expected.
We’re pleased that the staff you dealt with were kind and apologetic, and we do take your concerns about the equipment and your confidence using it seriously. Buggy performed well as hoped
Buggy performed well on tarmac, turf and other surfaces in showground. Powerful, yet, easy to control. Allowed me to see a great deal more of the site, stalls and the exhibits- which I could not have managed on foot.
