Wonderful service from the organisation…
Wonderful service from the organisation and Ricky, who delivered and set up the bed. He was thoroughly and patient and accommodating to the room and electrical facilities. He took time to explain how to use the bed and the mattress. The company provide next day delivery, which was great to alleviate my mum's concerns as to sleep arrangements after hospital.

Awful company, waste of money & broken scooters
Awful company, no communication before the event. Mobility scooter died after 20mins use. Called their out of office number with no reply. Had to abandon the scooter in the middle of festival and I need the Mobility scooter for the festival and there's no resolution in sight. Waste of money. Really disappointed.
The company was NOT available when I had the issue, their number didn't answer & then the NEXT DAY I was told the scooter broke down due to the heat. When other scooters have been fine. Another mobility company really helped me out (event mobility). I will be making a complaint.

We would, however, like to clarify that once the issue was reported to us, our team attended the festival site the same day to replace the scooter and resolve the problem. We appreciate that having the scooter fail after only 20 minutes was far from the experience you expected, but we did act as quickly as we could once we were made aware of the issue.
We are also sorry if our communication before the event did not meet your expectations. We take feedback like this seriously and will review what happened to understand how we can improve the experience for future festival customers.
One of the key benefits of hiring from us is that should an issue occur with the equipment, we have a team available to help and can arrange a replacement rather than leaving customers without mobility support. Avoid and save yourself the heartache!

Thanks for taking the time to reply which is more than can be said for the customer experience team regarding a refund which I have still not heard back from. Sadly your information is not representative of my experience of the phonecall with the team and to say that an alternative mattress topper was offered is simply inaccurate and misleading for other customers who use trustpilot to consider their purchases. This was in fact the email you are referring to in which you can see that actually the mattress topper was not a suitable solution
“Unfortunately, we are not the manufacturer of the pillow lifter, so we are unable to alter or supply different cushion designs. The lift is only available in the one standard design and configuration.
Based on your description, the only suggestion we can make is to try repositioning your dad slightly further down the bed so that the edge of the back cushion does not sit directly beneath his lower back. This may help reduce the discomfort caused by the transition between the cushion and the mattress.
With regard to your suggestion of a mattress topper, I'm afraid we do not hire or supply mattress toppers as part of our service.”
Given the options you provided of asking my Dad to sit differently on the pillow lifter or pay again for a hospital bed option after the terrible customer experience, my “choices of alternative” as you described were pretty much zero.
Ps my order was placed on Monday morning and not over the weekend. Besides which, why have a countdown timer advertised on the website with a note of “order in the next 15 mins for next day delivery” if the feature doesn’t work.
I’m afraid to say that your response has not helped to rectify or satisfy my complaint and if anything has made it worse. Therefore my review still stands and I will never recommend this company to anyone. You say that you are disappointed with my experience during an emotionally difficult time but I can assure you that no one is more disappointed than I am.

The entire experience was a total shambles. Considering this is such an upsetting time in our lives with my Dad falling ill and needing a comfortable nights sleep when being discharged from hospital, the ordering process promising “order in next 14 minutes for next working day delivery” was a lie and meant I then needed to find an alternative solution (at my cost), after being told that for the next day delivery would be a further £220!!! This is absurd.
When I called the next morning to arrange a return or swap, there was no empathy shown on the mobility hire side, I was £176 out of pocket for the hire and no alternative was given apart from “ask your Dad to sit higher on the pillow lift”. Utterly ridiculous!
I felt so let down by what I thought would be a brilliant company to support the elderly and vulnerable and it ended up being an expensive and upsetting experience in an already emotional time. I have requested a refund for my two week hire given that it was used for 25 minutes and collected the following day after delivery.
If the item is totally unusable (as this was), even with a minimum hire time, you need to be able to speak to a member of the customer services team rather than receive an automated email telling you that it will take “up to FOURTEEN days to receive a response”. Avoid at all costs!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry that the pillow lifter wasn’t comfortable for your dad, particularly at such a difficult time for your family. We completely understand how important it was to have him comfortable following his discharge from hospital.
We would like to clarify a couple of points for anyone reading the review. Your order was placed online over the weekend using our next working day delivery service, which meant the delivery was scheduled for Tuesday. The additional £220 discussed was for an urgent same-day dedicated van delivery, which is a separate service and therefore carries an additional charge.
When you contacted us about your dad finding the pillow lifter uncomfortable, we apologised and discussed a number of possible options. As the pillow lifter is manufactured by a third party, we unfortunately don't have alternative pillow options available from the manufacturer. We suggested different positioning and repositioning to see if this improved his comfort, discussed whether a mattress topper might help, and also offered the option of changing to a hospital bed which may have been more suitable. This information was also followed up by email. You ultimately decided not to pursue these alternatives and chose to return the equipment, which we completely respected.
Our customer service team ask customers to email certain requests so that we can properly investigate the circumstances and provide a considered response, rather than giving an answer without having all the relevant information.
Weare disappointed that we weren’t able to provide a solution that worked for your dad on this occasion. We understand how stressful arranging equipment after a hospital discharge can be, and we are sorry that your experience left you feeling let down. Very good service will use again next year, had a couple of people at the festival ask me where I hired it from.
The only reason I gave only 4 stars
Was because the scooter had seen better days, the seat had a couple of small rips in the cover but having said that it drove really well and the battery lasted for ages. Would definitely recommend Mobility Hire.

From the moment I spoke to Kelly, the service was excellent. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions.
I needed a hospital bed for my mum, and it was ordered at lunchtime and delivered and installed by teatime the same day. The delivery gentleman was warm, professional, and installed everything with minimal fuss.

Very Helpful
The company were very helpful and prompt with delivery. We wanted a space and tilt wheelchair to hire for a relative. They were happy to supply one after we searched several places which did not supply these to hire.

Scooter hire for a festival - it works really well!
Having the scooter delivered/picked up from the festival site made my life really easy. There was good communication from the company just before the event telling me where I could pick the scooter up on arrival. I had some further questions about insurance cover which were answered by Claire - really good customer service. They also provided me with telephone numbers in case I had any problems whilst at the festival. I had some problems unlocking the scooter code and working out how to go forward (we had to download the user manual from the internet) but once that was sorted everything worked brilliantly. I've never used a scooter before - the experience was transformative and the scooter handled the uneven terrain very easily. Highly recommend this company if you want to hire a scooter to attend a festival - makes everything so much easier if you've got a mobility impairment!
