Always polite and fit your pets in.think the prices are abit high but thats most vets.all my dogs have been here been with them for 20 ish years. My dogs love going calm environment

My cat who had escaped was bought to this vets to be scanned, they only checked one database and then returned her to the street, their response was ‘they can’t keep every cat’ they didn’t even advert... Zobacz więcej

Our friendly, highly-trained and caring veterinary team has a wealth of experience and we treat dogs, cat, rabbits, small pets and poultry. Our main practice in Braintree is supported by our community branch in the village of Coggeshall. At Braintree, we have spacious on-site parking, we consult throughout the day with appointments as early as 8am until 8pm and consult from 8am - 6pm on Saturdays. Outside of our opening hours all calls to our practice number are automatically diverted to the out of hours veterinary service, Vets Now, based in Witham. We never move our patients to another site or practice for overnight care. Our surgery is well equipped with a wide range of medical diagnostic tools, including CT scanner. We can treat almost any condition, including life-threatening ones, within the practice. This means quicker diagnosis, treatment and recovery times for your pet, as well as greater convenience for you. Our greatest asset, though, is our staff. It is the individual skill, care and attention we give to each patient that’s at the heart of successful treatment, and this is what makes us different. Established in 1966, we have been treating your pets as our for more than half a century - we are proud to remain a 100% independent veterinary practice. This vets practice is incredible

This vets practice is incredible.

We have cats and unfortunately one had to be put down at 8 months old after a traumatic illness however the staff were fantastic no limit on how many times I could visit or call. They didn’t ask me to pay a penny and said they could do it though insurance which at the time I was so grateful for.

Fast forward to today I take my new kitten in and everyone comes to see me asking how I am. How the cats are doing (we have the sister of the one we lost ) and how glad they are we adopted a new kitten.

They are reassuring and kind and listen to you waffle on even though they have heard it over and over again.

Fantastic vets and nurse staff and even receptionists. Could not take my girls anywhere else.

“Consultations” are shocking

“Consultations” are shocking. One of our dogs was sent home with a “tummy bug” only to have to be rushed back an hour later for an emergency operation to stop her dying from a ruptured intestine.

Current pet had a severe neck injury which clearly needed x ray and further investigation but was told “take pain killers”

Charged 50 quid for a rushed service.

One of the worse vets I’ve ever had the misfortune of using.

Medication sold at double the market value.

You take your pets to experts and they’re only interested in getting you in and out the door.

Never again.

Only interested in their profits and poor customer care

Millennium are only interested in their profits. On virtually every occasion I collected a pre ordered prescription it was wrong. The last one should have been for 750mg of Levetiracetam and instead it was for 500mg . This resulted in the dispatch of the on-line prescription being delayed, so I had to buy some from them instead. They charged me £66.07 whereas on line it was £14.40. Their error cost me £51.67 but they refused to reimburse me. Our spaniel was discharged after x ray with the canular still in his leg, under the bandage, and I had to go all the way to Vets Now at 10.15pm to have it removed when I discovered their error; one dog was diagnosed with a Sarcoma cancer on his neck but it was an abscess that disappeared two weeks later; for years we paid a 20% excess only on our old spaniel's arthritis claim. I went to collect the dog and was asked to pay the full amount of the bill of nearly £400. I explained we only paid 20% but they refused to give me the antibiotics, in front of a waiting room full of people, unless I paid in full, so I left empty handed, despite the fact I had been a client for over 15 years and owed them nothing. My partner had to make a special journey in after work to collect the drugs and by that time they had realised their error and only charged him the 20%. There was no apology. On one occasion when I complained they said I was free to go elsewhere. They could not care less. They just want their money.

Caring, kind and reassuring

I would like to thank both the kind and helpful nursing and vet staff for their care and attention with my poorly puppy. Also the receptionist who initially helped me on the phone was reassuring and patient with me. I have to admit, in these strange times, I felt safe and happy with their covid restrictions. I didn't like having to hand my puppy over and not being with him (me being a precious dog mummy!!!) but I fully understood and the staff regularly updated me with his treatment. Thank you all.

Awful veterinary practice - don’t wast your time

Awful experience dealing with this vets, never ever will I take my puppy or any pet there again. You are not allowed to enter the surgery with your pet, they take them in ‘check them over’ and bring them out and charge you triple the original price. Staff are very impatient and rude, I will be taking my complaint further regarding the way I was treated on my visit by a certain receptionist who I believe is head of reception which explains why the rest of the staff are inadequate and rude if that’s their superior.
I had been issued a prescription which she then wanted to take back off me!! Was only my 2nd visit and both times have been appalling! Will not be returning!
Service is so poor, firstly I was advised that they can check her over in the car park for £50.
Disgusting joke, they do not care about your pets whatsoever just want your money.

Our current covid protocols have meant we have not been able to have clients in the practice building. This is to protect the practice from having to close, therefore removing the veterinary care from all our client and their pets including in an emergency situation. Our primary aim has been to keep our services available throughout the pandemic. If you have concerns about the fees of any of our products and services then we will discuss this with you - we do not triple prices. We had the unfortunate "pleasure" of…

We had the unfortunate "pleasure" of dealing with Millennium Vets in Braintree. The vet we saw had an appalling, and very accusatory attitude. Would not let us get a word in edgeways - very dismissive, disrespectful and patronising. She displayed no warmth or understanding, qualities that should be a given for a respected Vet. Needless to say we will definitely not be going back.

This place is brilliant

This place is brilliant. The staff and vets really know what they are doing. Despite one of my pets having to be put down, they really reassured me and even let me pay later.
They have saved another one of my pets who was at deaths door and helped countless times with my other pets.

I highly recommend them.
