This program totally supercharged my songwriting. Don't know how I ever got along without it. Plus, their support and responsiveness is superb. Very reasonably priced too.

My one star review was wrong! I havent fully tried to use Master Writer because I don't know how. So I would like to rectify my previous review by learning how to use it before I post a real review!
So far the only thing I've seen is a request for screenplays. I am working on a series of books so I have no use for Master Writer.

My apologies Donna, but there appears to be some confusion as MasterWriter is a writing tool for all types of writers including authors. It appears you are referring to a recent partner email we sent. We have followed up with you in private in hopes that we can clear this up and hopefully help you get the most out of MasterWriter.
If you are a songwriter it is a must!
If you are a songwriter then Masterwriter is a must. It helps you with the lyrics (better than any other software I have tried), and you have your versions all saved - both lyrics and music. Above all you have a catalogue of all your songs.

Thanks Phil, I can certainly appreciate that requiring Internet access can be prohibitive if you often write offline, but being web-based does come with a number of advantages, for one, you can login and access the program and your work from any computer, phone or tablet. There have also been countless updates since the previous version, all of which are automatically updated to your program. If you don't have wi-fi, note that you can access the Internet through your phone if you are within your network or even use your phone as a hotspot for your computer. I hope that helps, thanks for being a user these past years, we really appreciate it.

I actually love the program but
I actually love the program.
Hate that it's not an application available offline. My keyboard reacts to mobile data frequencies near it. Also I live in the woods, middle of nowhere. I don't want to have to turn my internet on to use it.

I can understand that requiring Internet access can be limiting, but this does come with advantages, one being that you can login and access the program and your data from any device. I've had success as a songwriter, but this is the augmentation
I have written songs, from serious to downright silly, for some of the biggest artists of my time and genre.
"MasterWriter" is the most usable tool I have found, and I refer to it at all times.
There could not be enough stars to rate this magnificent product!

Helpful tool! Scroll would be easier to use than pages. The website on my MacBook often needs to be restarted.

font and size problem
I was treated with wonderful Professional courtesy, and the problem I had was very difficult and I understand that she tried to figure this thing out and couldn't so I sent off pictures hopefully that you can see the problem and they have I hope that if you can fix the size problem if you want to go ahead and increase the size of the screen that when you access the tools that you can use all of the tools that the technology is fixed where everything works such as what you would see in a word program,,
I don't know if this program is new and I'm if it is then I'm sure that there are bugs still that has to get worked out, because I've never heard of this company but what I liked what I saw and the program was relatively very easy to work and everything was working fine except for this one problem which hopefully you can figure out.
you might want to go ahead and change the font and the size set bar to be on the menu bar along with the options instead of having somebody to have to go and fish around and figure out where that font and size set bar is which I found was next to my name which is an unusual spot. it was just by happenstance that I happen to hit on it and saw it. it would be better maybe if you could put it in an area where it could be in the tool the menu bar where people then can immediately set their fonts and size with no problem

Amazing product being limited by an untrustworthy web platform
I’ve absolutely loved Masterwriter since getting it in the early 2000’s and. Would’ve given it five stars before it became web based. Still there are studios that I visit for cowrites, can you believe it, that have bad or even no internet plus internet can sometimes temporarily be out of service. So I land on 3 Starr’s for an amazing product being limited by an untrustworthy web platform.

Thanks for your feedback Niclas, I'm glad to hear the program itself has been more than satisfactory. I can appreciate that requiring Internet access can be limiting, but I will point out that MasterWriter is compatible on all devices. If you are within your network, you can use MasterWriter on your phone or if your cellular plan includes this, you can use your phone as a hot spot/source of Internet for your computer. Generally speaking, most have access to the Internet through wi-fi or their cellular plan, but I can certainly appreciate that this is a frustrating limitation when that is not the case.
It is very easy to use!

Completely useless
Completely useless. Most of the time I put a word or phrase in, I got no results. It does nothing I can't do myself with a quiet mind & good preparation of the song subject. Waste of money.
