The system gets excellent reviews. It's in the top flight of every review of editing programs that I saw. However, after a very short trial, I decided that the system was too complicated for the immediate need I had. It looked like a pretty comprehensive system, though I can't really judge because I only essentially browsed through it.

High quality software that excels at facilitating lyrics development. Love it. I personally note that lyrics is 1/3 of the challenge of a great song, the others are the right chord progressions and the melody. For me lyrics come easy, and MasterWriter is very helpful making me better. So use MW for lyrics but won’t help with melody or chords structure.

When caught somewhat off guard when my subscription auto-renewed, I emailed MasterWriter about the situation.

The response was quick and completely answered my concerns. On top of that, when I asked about bumping my subscription an extra year, I was told this would have to be handled outside of the application. However, the instructions for doing so were easy to follow and I completed the transaction without requiring further support.

As a long time user of MW, it's been a pleasure using the software and doing business with the company. Many thanks as always!

Loving your product. I'd like to offer a suggestion. The place where we spend most of our time is writing on the left side of the screen. Since the lines are left justified, our writing hugs the very left side of the computer screen. I would prefer to have it more centered in the screen. What if you could add another writing box, so that now you have two small boxes (left of screen) and one large box ( center to the right). Now the far left box becomes a note box or a raw material box. Very important for the writing process. Then the song box is to the right of that. Finally the language research box takes up the rest of the screen. I don't think it will hurt that search space to make it a bit smaller, so that we can write our song more in the center of the screen. Anyway, that would be my work preference. Thank you!

It's very easy to use but if you have a problem their techs can help. There's so many ways it will help you to become a better writer than you thought you were. You are provided tutorials that will help you navigate everything that's necessary to becoming a much better writer than you ever imagined.
I turned down to other software companies because not only was this easier to use, it was more complete in what it provides. My choice was easy to make!

As a singer/songwriter, I Love the fact that I can have everything I need in one place. I can sit with my guitar and write a song in real time, jotting down the lyrics and chord progressions as I make them up. I also have MS Recorder going, so I can capture the song as I sing it. When I'm done, I can copy the audio to Master Writer so I never forget how the melody goes. The only thing missing, is the ability to upload PDS files to M/W, but maybe that will come in the future. I would be lost without it...

Overall I do like it. I'm still figuring out how best to leverage it's abilities.

The customer service for this product is amazing and I’m impressed by the level of dedication to the program. You can’t go wrong here, so go for it!

An array of tools that enable me to easily develop my writing, helping me to waste no time finding precisely what I intended to write.

It is not very useful; perhaps if it could be used extensively if it were integrated with other apps such as Pages. But the way it works, it seems primitive.

To have a dictionary, and synonyms at your fingertips when you're writing is a tool every author should have. I like to use a variety of word to express feeling, emotions and other emotions in my writing and spent endless time and energy googling which took time away from my writing.

Although I didn't keep the program as I had to return it. I was very impressed with this company for their outstanding responsive to their customer.
I couldn't use it as it was something new and I have not had the time to explore to use it efficiently.

I appreciate how accessible MasterWriter is. I use it every time I work on my manuscript. I'm writing my ninth book and having trouble with distractions. I found that I was using the same tired words again and again, and I was bored with my own writing. MasterWriter has helped me discover the exact words or phrases that I need.

MasterWriter is easy to use, even for us "older folks". I am 80. Ease of use, easy to catalog and easy to share your works with others.
