Ik ben gewoon echt heel blij met mijn jas. Hij zit goed en doet wat hij moet doen, namelijk de regen weg houden. Doe nu alles met de fiets eigenlijk, beetje regen houdt mij niet meer tegen.

Heel erg blij met mijn regenjas! Ideaal op de fiets en hij staat heel mooi, ik draag hem vaak ook gewoon als tussenjas bij droog weer. Ik raad hem zeker aan!

Zie er cool uit MET een goede regenjas aan. Een regenjas doe ik niet voor de lol aan. Het regent en ik zie er vervolgens niet perse heel cool uit. Maar met de jassen van MAIUM is dat probleem voor mij opgelost. Toffe designs in combinatie met echt goede regenjassen, love it.

Mooi en comfortabel en houdt de regen heel goed tegen!

I bought the Maium Poncho - Army Green (SKU: PO-AG-M) from the online shop of The Little Green Bag. Today, I wore it for the first time in average rain. After the first 4-5 minutes of walking in the rain, I started to feel my forehead getting wet. At the end of 10 minutes, drops were running from my head down my face. When I arrived at my final destination after a total 25-minute walk, the front part of my hair was completely soaked in water. I have never been scammed this badly.

Twee keer een jas gekocht en heel erg blij mee!

Extremely disappointing product and, even worse, completely misleading product information and after-sales service (or lack of it).

I bought the MAIUM (08) Poncho (Black, size L) through one of their resellers. MAIUM advertises this poncho as “fully waterproof with taped seams”, with a 10,000 mm water column, explicitly stating that “no water gets through the seams during a heavy rain.”

I used it for the first time while cycling home in the rain. Within just a few minutes, water was coming through the seams around the front zipper and my clothes underneath were completely soaked.

I checked the poncho afterwards and the seams in that area are clearly not taped, despite the product being advertised as having taped seams.

I contacted MAIUM with a formal complaint, via their email and I never received any response whatsoever.

For a product at this price, this level of performance is simply unacceptable. If you are buying a rain poncho specifically to keep yourself dry, this product failed at its most basic purpose.

My advice: do not buy this poncho. The product did not live up to the waterproofing claims made by MAIUM, and the complete lack of response to a legitimate complaint makes the experience even worse.

Very disappointing and a complete waste of money.

Update (12 October): To clarify my last update: the size M didn’t fit either, so I returned it for a refund. That second return was handled well. Miriam in customer service sent a return label the same day I asked, refunded the full amount including the original shipping on the day the parcel arrived, and refunded my first return shipping as a goodwill gesture. Thanks to Maium for the public apology. The final resolution was fair, but the unanswered emails and broken contact form at the start are why this isn’t higher.

Update (28 September): The correct size (M) finally arrived on 23 September, two weeks after I returned the original, and three days after I posted this review. It was left with a neighbour without any notice. The coat itself is excellent, which is why this isn’t lower, but the customer service was bad enough that I wouldn’t order from Maium again.

Original review (18 September):

Ordered a (06) Trench, delivered 9 September. It was too small, so I registered an exchange the same day and shipped it back. Your warehouse confirmed the return had arrived on 10 September.

Since then, nothing. Two emails to support on 13 and 17 September under ticket 22401, both unanswered. A third on 18 September. I also tried the contact form on maium.nl — it returns a 404 error and cannot be submitted at all.

All I have asked for is the correct size, M, which your own website currently shows as in stock.

One thing worth fixing on your side: in the Returnless return record the “choose the right size” field is blank, even though I selected M when I submitted the form. Your system does not appear to have saved it. That may be why nothing has moved.

The coat itself is good — I said as much in the return form, and I would still like to own one. This review is purely about the silence. Happy to update it once someone gets in touch.

Omdat de Maium jas die €139 kostte niet meeviel qua materiaal, heb ik deze teruggestuurd. In totaal €18,90 betaald aan transportkosten (€8,95 bij aankoop en €9,95 retourzending). Je kan maar best 100% zeker zijn van de maat, de gewenste kwaliteit, enz .... alvorens online bij Maium te bestellen. Dit is geen service.

Maium’s customer service is the best I’ve ever encountered. I had an issue with my MAC jacket, and the solution I proposed was very kindly accepted by the team who prioritised what worked best for me.
I’ve received many compliments on the jacket - it looks great and is also very practical. I would definitely purchase from them again.

2 jaar geleden een regenjas van Maium gekocht. Geweldige jas! Alleen bleek deze na 2 jaar niet meer volledig waterdicht te zijn. Gemaild naar Maium, snelle en fijne reactie. Ik mocht’m kostenpost laten impregneren. Super service!

Heerlijke echt warme handschoenen...Dit zijn de beste, die ik ooit heb gehad. Fijn als je last van droge handen hebt door de koud. Met dit paar ben je goed beschermd. Absolute aanrader!
Wat goed is om te weten dat je de handschoenen niet binnenste buiten moet wassen. Er zit een aparte laag tussen de binnen- en buitenkant namelijk. Als je binnenkant eruit trekt dan krijg je deze niet meer goed terug!

I have several items: short and long puffer, original saddle, handgloves. This is my first year I cycle to work, no rain no snow can hold me down. I’m always ready to go through it with my Maium jackets.

Dislike that the log main zips catch in the material easily; the duffle coat needs a big inner pocket — it's winter. Where do we place hats and gloves as external pockets that are too small? The overall design needs enhancement.

They need to improve the quality of the product. They can’t take a cloth and glue plastic onto it and call it a rain jacket. The jacket will dissolve or disintegrate and the buttons will fall off (as per other comments)

The quality of the coat is excellent, I have been in touch since around 13:00 and sent 3 emails in an attempt to grt a response as the chat bot on their website recommended the wrong size. All I want is a return label so I can have the correct size sent out and as I leave for holiday Monday I need to do this latest Monday. As I am based in ireland it appears I cannot print a return label automatically. I am perfectly happy to take the hit and oay for the return myself just to get the product in the correct size, please lads, respond.

Ik vond de jas op het eerste gezicht heel mooi (half jaar geleden gekocht) behalve de zijkanten die functioneel 'dubbel gelaagd' zijn. Daar waar de jas het lichaam beschermt blijf je inderdaad droog. Echter, als je lang bent (177cm) en een jas van Maium aanhebt op de fiets dan kan hij niet over het stuur. Dus hij is niet zo functioneel als dat (Zwolle) verteld werd en ik vind hem nu dus ook niet meer mooi.. Heb er €150 voor betaald, erg jammer

Keurige, snelle levering van een prachtige jas. Ben er zo blij mee. Snelle reactie van klantenservice. Dit bedrijf deugt!

Ik heb twee jassen van Maium. Een tussenjas die ik gewoon als winterjas draag met een lekker vest eronder en super voor op de fiets als het regent. Je blijft helemaal droog. Heb nu een winterjas erbij, en wat zit die heerlijk.Heb meteen maar een tas erbij gekocht, super handig op de fiets
