Fraud company. taken £150 in direct debit I did not authorise. I cancelled my shop as I did not sell anything back in 2024. Company won't respond, steer clear.

WIP but just in case Pay with CreditCard

Will be back in the future to try again if improvements are made to the website but.... also if transparency of the business improves. All UK businesses must display their physical address where it can easily be found on their website - MadeMe does not comply with the law. There are no contact details. I could not find MadeMe businesses in the UK believe it is a lie they are UK business as the only site called MadeMeUK (as per UK Government website). TrustPilot has only proof of the website ownership (other info not submitted). The only actual contact info is on the payment statement saying "Mademe +447xxx" (look at the bank statement). I believe the name MadeMe was copied to sound (exactly) like the famous New York fashion streetwear label??
***original review **. Just like everybody I decided to give this website a go. I opened a shop on the 11th of April afternoon. Silly me, I paid £25 for the whole year and spent afternoon/evening making listings and checking functionality (as a customer and seller). After 3-4 hours I came to the conclusion that as of this moment functionality of the website does not answer my needs. On the 12th April morning I sent an email to ask for the subscription refund (as per the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Whilst closing my account, I noticed MadeMe stated that as per their Seller Terms they do not refund annual/monthly subscription fees but I hope they mean when it is outside the 14-days cool off period, otherwise would be a very expensive 18 hours on MadeMe. Also closed my Stripe account, don't know why it would be used for what is mean to be a UK small business website. Received reply about 10 hours later (which is good) stating the refund will be given as I am within 14 days cool-off period which you expect to be honoured and it was back on my account.
*One take-away (which I normally do but didn't in this case), ALWAYS pay by the Credit Card, if a company refuses refund within a cool-off period, the CC will work with you to return your cash followingSection 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.

Useful as an ashtray on a motorbike

Useless for sellers, no promoting the site, you have to be a member to view anything, no traffic comes to your so called store, forget checking it on Facebook you have to have a link to look, all they want is subscribers, support and help pages are not monitored so you have wasted more time trying to get help, it takes forever to setup 1 item in your shop, it's just a big scam to get money for nothing

Amazing items and so original and colours lovely

The products were beautiful and because they were in stock I got them in 2 days. The service was amazing. There was also little private notes which the seller did for me as I purchases 3 chains for my nieces and the colours and the long chains were lovely and such good value for money. Will certainly be purchasing from the website again. Very happy customer.

Earrings

The item was absolutely beautiful, a Xmas present for my daughter. Very nicely packaged and the seller went the extra mile and added a free gift. Will definitely be purchasing more.

MadeMe angery

If your looking at starting a online shop with no customer service, no analyticals and a very censored Facebook page as a "support" group this might be just what your looking for. If you have a question that MadeMe might not like (like how are new traders finding sales) don't bother asking on the Facebook page as all posts have to be approved by MadeMe admin... Or not as it seams. You could try messaging them by their 'ticket' section on the website, but don't expect a response to that, just like I didn't. Oh and you can't message them on the support group only the selling Facebook page. But again, don't expect a response, or at best a helpful one. How about the food old telephone... Don't be silly, no advertised number.

Not even after a month with MadeMe I cancelled my subscription and will take the £25 as a lesson learned. Etsy might be more expensive but you get what you pay for.

I had a shop on here

I had a shop on here. After a year my account was due to be renewed. On the day of renewal I cancelled my account but they took 50 pounds out and told me they would not return the money to me. I asked 10 times for their complaints procedure. They did not respond. That is poor!!!

Signed up last December 2021 to replace…

Signed up last December 2021 to replace Etsy who I have up on after their fees sky rocketed . Joined made me excitedly and had 2 sales in 11 months,even though I sold quite regular on etsy nothing was happening on mademe. The Facebook group was just other sellers trying their best drum up business I think also struggling to make a sale. I don't know why sales are poor. Perhaps the name isn't well known ,or the fact you have to use stripe for payments ,I really don't know what issue is. I cancelled my shop before my year is up so I don't get charged like other sellers did . It's a shame because I had high hopes for it but sadly it didn't work out.

Shame as potential is there

I had high hopes for this site and subscription seemed a great way of getting my crafts out there. Although my products sell well on other platforms, on Mademe I had not one single sell. I was hoping that I could ditch Etsy as their pricing is getting quite high. Mademe need to sort out the website to make it more user friendly and market the site more to become as competitive as platforms such as Etsy. Real shame as idea is great.

I cancelled after 18 months as i was paying out but literally had no sales .. nothing. Shame but why throw money down the drain!? The Facebook page declined my post stating the same thing but with well wishes for other people (Shock horror)

🤷‍♀️

Unfortunately i cant reccomend it but that's down to my own experience 😊 as im sure many others would agree.
