Ordered a birthday card still waiting on delivery contacted Mademe said card posted ,so I've contacted my credit card provider for refund

Just blocked my bank card with them as don't recall signing up for this monthly fee.

Very easy to make a purchase from this site. Everything went smoothly, from ordering to receiving the item. A wide selection of products available from this site too.

I made an account last year and paid a discounted fee of £25.00. This year, without any correspondence from them at all ie reminders etc, they took £50.00 payment from my bank, even though I cancelled my membership. They have ignored all of my emails or tickets as they call them. My bank has also tried to get a refund but without success. Unless youre happy to have them debit your bank account without prior notice, avoid

Customer service is completely useless, I sent 4 messages and no reply, so I then sent another saying I wasn’t happy with being ignored, had a reply to say they would look at my previous messages and get back to me within 48hrs. Still not heard back! Now 3 weeks! Won’t be wasting my money on opening account due to their very poor customer service!

I opened a shop and to this day I have not sold a thing. I browsed the shop in bracelets over 100 never seen one of mine. I asked on FB if anyone else not found their items but the post never went up.

Joined Mademe, paid £25 for the year and set up a little shop. Asked on the FB page if anyone was actually getting sales from their shop, and mt post was decline by admin. Asked why, yet to recieve a reply. It appears to be just a group for people trying to sell to each other rather than an online shop! Early days, lets review again in a few weeks!

The bracelets are beautiful, very well made, unique and cute. I absolutely love them ! It’s fantastic how you get to choose everything to suit your individuality.

This site has so much potential & is really easy to navigate. This problem is nobody knows about it & it is not being promoted.

Since recently opening a shop I have been asking family & friends in the 25 to 45 age bracket about mademe & not one of them had ever heard of it. More worrying is that several of them work in marketing & advertising where social media is literally their job. I have also asked several crafters if they have seen anything on instagram about this site & they also drew a blank.

The site has great stuff made by talented people sick of Etsy's lack of seller support (I'm guessing).
They saw the same regurgitated post on instagram saying it was the new alternative to Etsy & desperately joined like I did hoping to increase sales & get seller support.

In theory this site could be amazing if they bothered to promote it. It doesnt have all the drop shipping & tat like Etsy, from what I've seen it really is British craftsmanship.

I feel very disappointed that this company are happy to sign people up but not market the site so we can be seen. It appears we have to promote the link ourselves to products. I know things take time to establish but when your target age group dont know the site exists it feels like a waste of time as a seller.

I wonder how many sellers cancel once their year is up & go back to Etsy? It might be a great concept but sellers need views & sales not just concepts.

10 out of 10 for the site lay out but the advertising just isnt there.
