Took subscription renewal payment and when questioned, told me they always send a 7 day reminder email to enable me to have cancelled if I wished and said I should check my spam/junk folder as they definitely sent it. No, they didn't and wouldn't reply to any further emails. Disputed with bank who got the money back. Poor.

Still haven't received the ordered item or a refund wich was ordered on the 1st of October 2023

Scam company

Good site, clear pictures and a good price.
Prompt postage and well packaged.

Joke company. Took money, didn't send item, chased after a month and was told they emailed me and that must be in my spam. They hadn't!!! Stated that their printer was broken and were moving house. What a fantastic business they have. Basically. Just take the money and hope you don't chase up. Not worth risking dealing with these people. Clearly have no real business drive or ambition, and just want to be gifted money for nothing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I'll update review if I receive my money back.

I decided to close my account after reading reviews of money being taken out of accounts after closure. Unsubscribing does not close your account. Close that too. I was 5 days away from the renewal date, told my bank, and they suggested to cancel my debit card, the card I used for payment, which blocked them from withdrawing a greedy £50 when the date was due. I waited 5 days for a new card, but they won't be receiving my £50!...

I repeatedly sent emails & completed Contact Forms only to receive no replies at all over the last 7 months.

There is no information on their website confirming their contact details & address, which they're legally obliged to add to their site by UK law. So this did put me off.

Today I finally closed my account, which was a shame, because I wanted to support a small UK based platform.

Joined on the offer of £25 for the year. I did not agree to continue for an extra year and the b@&rds have taken £50 off my card for another years membership. I've not made a single sale with them and they think I wanna continue with them without consent to take another payment?? 🤬🤬.

Furthermore to dispute it they have no contact platform where you can email call or message to sort things out. It's all pre answered questions, so if you have a problem, forget it. Do not use this platform. I'm out of pocket of money I need to feed my family now 😢🤬🤬

I have just joined Mademe and I must say what a breath of fresh air, the website is a clean and easy to use platform for all crafter's, the only thing I would like to see is a PayPal link as I feel customers might be reluctant to put card details in.
I had used Etsy and found it full of potential scams, every time I listed I got a message my shop was suspended, even asking me to sign up to a bank and transfer £300 !!!!
I would say support people who take on the established online marketplaces and together we will have an affordable way to sell online.

Waste of time for vendors. Although there may be no commission payable, I had no leads, no customers, no sales. Complete waste of money. And as stated in another review, when you cancel it’s immediate, regardless of how much longer is left on your subscription. Save your money and avoid Mademe.

Very poor. I never received anything from them about my account, payment, subscription reminder - nothing. So I didn't make use of it and then when closing the business missed that i had an account. That is until a payment appeared on my statement. I raised a support ticket as the only way to contact them. 2 months later, still nothing!! Worst of all is you have no way to turn off auto renew, i can cancel but it cancels right now regardless if you have time left on your subscription.
Underhand way to do business that goes against all the rules of sale of goods and services (must provide a receipt being the main one). Transaction and companies trading methods reported.

It is a shame as this puts a blot on the site and the sellers trying really hard to build their small businesses.

The process of communicating with the seller and placing an order was smooth.

Appaling service! I signed up last year to see if it would be a good place to sell my handmade products from my small business. I signed up for £25. Then I unfortunately forgot about it. Last month, without prior notice, they took £50 from my account.
I messaged their support, but have only received one answer stating it's in their terms & conditions. No other company has scammed me like this. I will be getting in contact with citizens advice to see what I can do as £50 is a hefty sum for a small business trying to stay afloat in these challenging times.

Please avoid!!! More people who got scammed as sellers, should also reach out to citizens advice for help.

Awful company! I tried the £25 offer to see if this would be an alternative to Etsy and never made a sale. I forgot I even had an account. When the renewal came they took £50 from my bank without informing me, when I requested a refund and my account closed they have refused to stating it's in the terms and conditions. They obviously can't be doing to well as this is happening to lots of people looking at the comments on here. Avoid!

Customized biscuit treats for dog, brilliant idea and Scruffy loved his birthday selection. Despatched and received on time - you can select the date they are required. The box fitted through the letter box so no waiting around for delivery and the little note inside was lovely.
