My parcel spent an extra day with the courier, but it still arrived safely and exactly as packed. The quality of the clothing definitely made up for the slight delay.

The dress I've received today (ordered 4 weeks ago) is nothing more than tat!! Made by Jessica is a Chinese company and I'm sure their adverts contravene Trades Description. The advert for the dress advised that Jessica was now closing the company due to the birth of her child. And yes, I was stupid enough to part with £35 for a dress which looked really lovely on the model. Today's arrival is a cheap polyester ill-made and ill-fitting garment.

This is a copy of the e-mail I sent (21-07-2026) to the cutomer service address (support at madebyjessica.store) for 'Made by Jessica' following my mother being a victim of fraud when ordering from the Made by Jessica website. The business initially responded fairly promptly to e-mails from my mother, suggesting she take photo's of the dresses, including herself wearing them, and she return the dresses, shipping them to Hong Kong. We await response to my e-mail, below :-

Dear customer service team,

I have been instructed to represent Mrs A in respect of an order she placed with your business, the payment you have taken, and the goods you subsequently supplied. Your reference:-

I contact you on behalf of Mrs A and am authorised to hereby request refund in full of the payment made by Mrs A on 30th June 2026 of £**.** GBP.
Refund is to be returned directly to the account / means of payment used by Mrs A, and is to reach this account within 14 days of this communication.

The basis of this request is that the goods supplied for this order, namely two dresses, are evidently not that represented in images and description at the point of sale on your website.
The dresses do not match the pattern, material type, colour, quality, cut or size of that represented and thus ordered on the basis it was this that would be supplied.
The material of the supplied dresses is of very poor quality, and the construction highly inferior in the seamwork; with elements missing, including no eyelet for the hook closure.
Any reasonable person would expect the goods specifically featured in the order process are those which would be supplied.
I make reference to the following legislation operative in England and Wales, United Kingdom, and applicable to all sales whether online or in person:-

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

The Fraud Act 2006.

Further to this, I make reference to:-
The Terms of Service, the Returns and Refund Policy of your own website.

Fraud by misrepresentation is a criminal offence. In this case it was to facilitate financial gain by clearly representing on the website home page that the business is based at a small boutique clothing store in London, United Kingdom, and that 'Jessica' materially exists as the proprietor, she is heavily pregnant and due to give birth. Thus it is reasonable to expect the clothing for sale and supplied is of London clothing boutique quality, and it is being significantly discounted as the shop is closing imminently for the aforementioned reasons.
The home page boldly shows the banners:

'Est(ablished) 2009, London.'

'Boutique Closing, Up to 50% off, Final Pieces Before I Welcome My Baby.'

image used to represent the boutique store in London, and the pregnant 'Jessica' quickly reveals that it is AI generated; blending other images available on the WWW, some previously linked to fake stores, and on-line businesses involved in fraudulent activity.

Initial investigation clearly determines that the misrepresentation meets the criteria for Fraud, and as such the matter is being reported to the relevant authorities in the UK, including Action Fraud, Visa and Mastercard services, Trading Standards, and the ASA.

Research of the 'Business address' in the Netherlands, and persons linked therein, and likewise the in Hong Kong, proves interesting, including contact with Mr Or.
Furthermore, investigation of '4PX Express' proves to be of interest, and linked activity and registration of 'Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.' Details of such are under consideration to be passed to HMRC.

A significant history of complaint regarding the MadebyJessica operation exits online, including data held by consumer watchdog organizations.
Research of the 'positive' reviews linked on sites including Trustpilot quickly prove to be fake upon inspection.

Mrs A shall not be returning the supplied dresses at her expense.
Whilst they have been inspected, she has neither worn them nor taken them outside the address to which they were shipped. Following careful examination, the dresses have been returned to the packaging.
Should your business wish for the return of the supplied dresses, as per your own Return and Refund Policy, please supply a pre-paid returns label necessary for shipping.

We await your expeditious response.

Many placatory emails but very poor service. The items I bought were of poor cut and quality, also much smaller than my normal ordered size. They did not resemble the illustrations of the product.
I was told that if I wished to return the items it would cost me over £14 to return as they had sent the correct sizing.
I will be reporting this business.

Beware! This company should be avoided at all cost. They promise one thing but don't honour their commitment
I ordered three summer dresses weeks ago.
They were very slow to arrive, are of very poor quality and fit and I have had weeks of trying to return them, asking for a full refund. I keep on being given different options as to how to return them, what to expect in terms of a refund and finally, a refusal to give me any refund at all.
I have given them the benefit of the doubt but it has been a complete waste of time.
I am now facing the loss of £119.85

My UK size 12 dress is more like a UK 8, especially around the chest! I foolishly purchased it because I loved the colourful poppy design but alas there is no give in the material and I thought that it must be of good quality because the original RRP wasn’t overly cheap! It’s NOT bad quality, just much too small, as are a lot of garments brought from Asia. It was only after completing the transaction that I looked at the reviews, so my expectations weren’t particularly high. A waste of £30, but if I attempt to get a replacement, apparently I will have to pay for the original to be returned to Asia and I don’t want to part with another £30!

The dress I finally received after almost 3 weeks, is made of very poor quality material. The way it has been made is absolutely terrible.
The sizing is completely wrong and doesn't fit.
It shows as being red on the website, but is actually a burnt orange colour.
There are no labels in the dress at all.
Trying to get a refund is a joke.
Be wary of using this company its not what it appears.

I really liked the dress once it arrived. The only downside was waiting a little longer than expected for dispatch, although the estimated delivery date was still met.

I usually end up returning at least one thing whenever I shop online, but this time I kept everything. That honestly says more than anything else. The pieces just suited me really well.

As a plus size woman it was refreshing to find more than one dress I liked. I look forward to wearing them. All 3 of them.

Do not buy from this website! Eventually you will receive a garment from Hong Kong knocked up made of 100% polyester when you think you are going to receive a nice dress. So poor quality. I am pursuing a refund, item will not look the same as on the website.

I also wish I'd read the reviews of this website before I ordered anything. I ordered shoes in a size 6. I am a standard size 6, narrow feet so rarely have problems with shoes being too small. The shoes they sent were probably not even a 5 and the quality was terrible.
After numerous emails I have been unable to get a refund. They have just worn me down so I'm waiting for a size 7.
What really annoys me is on the main website page in large letters it says free returns. No way. Read the small print if you can find it.

Only put 1 star because I couldn’t put 0 . Fake site really poor quality items , I have been waiting to return and receive refund for 2 months and heard nothing back since sending photos of items worth about £1 . I paid £74 thinking it was a genuine site in London. Not happy at all please stay away from them

This is a Scam, long long waiting times for delivery, cheap, badly made products that are totally the wrong size, terrible material and sleeves way too long, badly matched hems and totally unwearable clothes. DO NOT BUY
This is NOT a shop in London closing down so she can look after her baby, it’s in Hong Kong and they try to fob you off by saying their refund system is being updated and they’ll give you 15% off instead… the emails are autogenerated at their end and the telephone number is NOT in use. Two months in and NO refund, having to try and get it refunded through my bank! It’s a scam!!!!

The order arrived too late for my occasion (despite ordering two weeks before and having been told the goods was in transit 5 days ahead of the event). When it finally was delivered, it turned out to be of disappointing quality and was too small. I naturally asked to send it back for a full refund, only to be told I had to send it to an address in the USA on a tracked delivery, which would have cost 50% of the value of the dress itself. Alternatively, I was offered to keep it and get a 15% refund. Having donated the dress to a charity shop, I opted for the latter, only to be told several days later that they "encountered a system-level restriction that prevents us from processing the refund back to your original payment method". Instead they now offered to send a voucher for 30% of the original purchase price.

Having experienced this totally unacceptable and shambolic returns process and policy, who in their right mind would order anything from Made by Jessica again?!
All round a very disappoint and costly experience.

I have received the dress which looks nothing like the picture. I have been onto the site to return and it has to be returned to Hong Kong!! That will be costly and long winded. I should have learnt by now with these scam companies. It's not my first experience and I should know better. I shall gift the dress to charity and learn yet again not to be taken in by these companies. I'm too old and busy to be stressed out so will put it behind me.

I received 2 dresses same size one is too big the other too small, the material is thin and very flimsy the colour is not the same as on web site
There was no returns information when I emailed for returns information I was asked to send pictures of the sizing so they could investigate
I said no I would just like to return garments
We have continued to email back and forth
I believe they are waiting for to to bored
