my order is extremely late with no communication or update. I’ve emailed multiple emails multiple times, private messaged on social media, and commented on posts. And nobody will respond. Disgusting way to treat customers spending especially just before Christmas. Disgraceful customer service

Missing item and no response from customer service

Quick delivery on most of my order however still waiting on delivery of one item which was part of a set after waiting over three weeks.

We ordered the dumbbells and rack with bench set but have only received the dumbbells and rack. However we have been charged the full amount! I can see other customers are experiencing exactly the same.

Contacted customer service three times to advise of missing item, but absolutely no reply. Really poor customer service. Please respond with a resolution, otherwise I’ll be contacting my card provider for a refund.

Taking customers money prior to Christmas and not fulfilling orders is totally unacceptable. There are so many people in the same position as us missing parts or orders and money being taken with absolutely no contact from customer service.

If you can’t deal with the demand on your services, stop pushing advertising and deals and manage the backlogs you have

UNACCEPTABLE!

Scam purchase!

I wrote a review for this company on Trustpilot regarding the lack of communication we have had from them. They have failed to provide us with 4 sets of dumbbells which we have purchased. They responded to my trustpilot review asking me to contact them again to sort the issue, which I did. But to no surprise, I haven't heard back from them. If this is not resolved by then end of play Monday I will be reporting them to Trading Standards and going to the local press. It is fraudulent and theft. Great products, one of the worst companies I've ever purchased equipment from.

Look elsewhere

Kettle ordered ,turned up with sharp edges on handle, told to send pics which I did 4 separate times and as with many many others total radio silence for the last two weeks 🤷🏼‍♂️😡 Just another bunch of scammers

Less than one star at the moment

Less than one star at the moment.

I placed a large order costing £310.82 for a combination of kettlebells and gym floor mats on the 29 Nov 25 and received the standard delivery time message of 2-5 days.

I have also received numerous automated emails saying my order has been dispatched but when I track the dpd parcel, their website says they have received the details but not the parcel / product.

The order of equipment was destined to help Armed Forces Veterans who cannot afford gym memberships or who cannot bare to mingle in public gyms, with a goal to help maintain mental and physical strength.

Northerngym…. If you cannot fulfill the order, no worries, but please refund my money so I can look else where to get this in place before Xmas.

“Life is hard enough at the moment without being scammed or screwed about”.

Orders marked dispatched - Nothing Sent - No comms

If they don't contact me regarding order number #NORTHERN62381, I will be escalating outside of the company.

Same as everyone here. Zero communication. Paid in full for ~£500 of equipment. Coming up on 2 weeks now.

After many emails with no reply, and as a test of good faith, I then pretended to be someone else.

Sure enough they responded to me immediately when I claimed to be wanting to place a large order to build a commercial gym. Immediate response.

Responses to my other queries about my outstanding order. Silence.

Borderline criminal at this point.

I don't care if something is delayed. That's fine. I care if people take ~£500 and then ghost me.

I NEVER write reviews for anything.

Ordered adjustable weights and bench…

Ordered adjustable weights and bench set on Black Friday, charged me full price but only received dumbbells and not the bench. 5 emails sent and Instagram message. No reply for 3 days now. Had a reply from someone saying that the order is fulfilled but I have shown proof I’ve ordered the correct set. Other reviews show something is clearly going on at this place. A lot of 1 stars over the past week or so

Adjustable dumbbells

I also bought adjustable dumbbells on Black Friday received confirmation email, and that was the last communication, week and half later and nothing since, tried to contact them no telephone number and not answering messages, they are still selling item on wed site, certainly won’t be buying again. Buyer be aware.

I’m still waiting for updates on…

I’m still waiting for updates on weights I ordered on November 20th. At this point I just want a refund but the only way to get Northern to reply to an email seems to be to leave a negative review on a public forum (again) … Really shocking service.

Great prices

Great prices and the products were delivered promptly. The only negative was my order was sent in several consignments which were not easy to track via DPD (not the fault of Northern Gym)

Very very poor customer service.

My wife purchased a weight rack on 16th a November, choosing this company over many others due to good reviews at the time. She received a dispatch email on 17th November.

Spoke to Ryan via email on 21st who said the volume of orders meant here was a ‘slight delay’ and he’ll continue to monitor for me. We thought this was understandable due to the Black Friday sales so thought fine.

We have emailed almost every day since 24th November and had no reply at all.

The money has been taken and we are without the item.

Please reply with something other than you understand and will look into it. We would like action and our items delivered or a refund ASAP please.

Missing 5kg dumbbells

This is a follow-up. Having received a reply on here from NGE on Monday 1st December, asking me to email them photographic proof of my delivery that was missing 5kg dumbbells. I immediately provided them with photos that unmistakably show them the number of packages delivered as 4/4 but should have been 5/5 to include the missing 5kg dumbbells as the 15kg dumbbells took up 2 of the missing packages since they were done as separate packages and not combined as one. So the evidence is undeniable.

However, I've not heard back from them and it's a week on from my initial contact, so have changed my original 2* to 1* since this is unbelievably shoddy, unprofessional and equates to theft. If this is not resolved by the next three working days I'll be taking legal action! Edited on 9/12/2025 - I just want the 5kg dumbbells please ASAP

What is going on!?

What is going on? Not received my order, no replies. Worst customer experience ever. Emails not responded to, online chat unattended. Sent me the wrong item and after returning at my own expense, have not received the original items. Next step is Trading Standard I think. Scam company, avoid!

They didn't send out my bench I ordered and they have been ignoring me for days now. No phone to call just email and their chat on the website no response. Will not use them again.
