Gross gcide supporting freaks. Imagine working out here knowing your money is supporting people happy with destruction as long as it is getting happening over "there" somewhere. Pigs and vile.

Don't expect to find something you left.Red Bank/Middletown…
Just joined the new Red Bank/Middletown NJ gym. I love everything about this place. It's busy but under control. I love the cleaning staff. My only complaint is there's no lost and found. Came back the next morning after leaving my $40 water bottle at 10pm. They threw it out. There was another guy at the desk and he said the same thing happened to him a few days prior. Then this morning a guy was leaving and said his jacket that he left yesterday wasn't there this morning. They throw everything away every night no matter what they tell you. They should hold things for a week at least.
Not a safe gym for female members.
Not a safe gym for female members.
I recently had an unfortunate experience at Lifetime Wall street where I encountered harassment from a male member. Despite reporting the incident to the gym staff, the response I received was disappointing and insufficient.
This particular male, stood over the top of me while I was using 1 of several free squat machines in an attempt to scare me away. Not only did he refuse to leave me in peace he used profanities in an attempt to continue pressing his aggression. I reported the situation to the staff, hoping for a resolution and support given the matter was recorded. However, the actions taken by the gym fell short of addressing the issue adequately which should have at the very least included contacting me. Bad enough that a male felt brazen enough to act this way, even worse when other males fail to act, effectively protecting him and encouraging similar behavior in the future.
The gym management should to take harassment complaints seriously, thoroughly investigate such incidents, and implement stronger measures to create a secure environment for all members. Additionally, improving communication and support systems for members who face such situations is essential.
Please think twice before considering Life time Wall street if you prioritize a gym environment that actively addresses and prevents harassment for woman.
Life Time Fitness Discrimination
The Life Time Fitness, Ellisville, facility is clean and well equipped. The aquatic facilities are great.
But, you had better enjoy it while you are young. Once you turn 65, they don't want you there anymore!
I know it is hard to believe a public gym can get away with age discrimination in today's world, but Life Time has figured it out. Once they realize how old you are (if over 65), they give you the option of severely limited access hours, or raise the price astronomically, or invite you to go elsewhere.
If you have a Medicare Advantage plan that used to pay your dues, they especially don't want you there. Apparently, Old Folks interfere with their "traffic flow" through the gym.
It has been a very disheartening experience for me. I like the facility and most of the staff is friendly and helpful. I have appreciated the opportunity to use a first class facility close to my house. However, having been turned into the target of discrimination by Life Time's management has been a great disappointment. I must take solace in the knowledge that what goes around, comes around - and they will get old one day too.

Mean girls at work- I was fired for giving a 30 day notice. I had shown up at every shift I was scheduled and even covered some of my co workers shifts. I stayed after up to an hour and took 0 breaks. No good deed goes unpunished. To boot- they actually kept my money for membership fees with no intent to return them. Will be pursuing this with my CC company.

Their website pretty clearly said there were services available at locations that were not there when I joined.
They are trying to force people to pay extra by having a truly obnoxious cancellation policy. I don't care that it is stipulated in the absurdly long terms that no one ever reads. Service providers should engender trust, not a feeling of abuse.
They are very comfortable preying on their customers.
Discrimination against children with disabilities and no accommodation
They have a policy in place that actively discriminates against children with disabilities and this policy was never shared until today but is being fully enforced. My child has autism and despite multiple notifications of this and requests for them to call me down if he’s getting upset (because he is unable to regulate his emotions which is a big part of his diagnosis) have failed to do so. In fact they have made me feel horrible by saying that “parents were complaining about his behavior”. As if having a child who is not nuerotypical isn’t hard enough now you are going to have staff tell in two separate instances that parents basically don’t like that he’s autistic?? Deloris the so called manager who seems more concerned with staying stationary and stuffing her face instead of actually walking around managing refused to make any accommodations at all. This, as well as this policy, is actually a direct violation of ADA according to my attorney. Additionally, their policy is not something my child is even capable of following (again never mentioned until today - not at sign up nor during the two times I had to pick up my son early for his behavior). Deloris also was rude while I was speaking to her regarding this and took a call while I was mid sentence. She didn’t even apologize despite me audibly saying that was a rude thing to do. They are not licensed nor do they have anyone one there trained to work with any child with any disability yet promote on their website “an inclusive environment for all”. I’m paying $40 a month to not even be able to have my child use the location because he is now suspended for 2 days (per the policy) for having autism. We are now having to drive 45 minutes to the North location where my son has no issues at all as opposed to going to South which is 12 minutes away. At this point even if they did remedy this situation I still would feel completely uncomfortable having anyone in the South location anywhere near my son at this point. As a former employee who started with Lifetime 20 years ago and has had several great experiences at many locations this is a huge disappointment, concern and has soured the entire experience. Additionally when I asked for the number to corporate instead of given the number in MN where Bahram sits out if I was just given the South’s 1-800 number.
My 8-year-old son and I were taking a …
My 8-year-old son and I were taking a shower in the family room at Lifetime Fitness around 7pm and were traumatized by a male security who was a former police officer, loudly knocked on our glass shower door while we fully naked and aggressively told us that I was not supposed to be in there. I replied that my son was in the shower with me. He then waited for us to come out and entered the bathroom to explain why he banged on the door. I tried to accept his apology but later realized that if he was listening at the shower door, he would have heard me and my son talking.
The next day my husband called GM to explain happened and he asked me if the security touched us and because he did not touch us, there was no grounds forn termination. Then I asked if I should cancel my $ 400-a-month membership he replied "what's my member number". I told him that we were comming to speak to him in person. When we arrived he was introducing himself to another member in front of me but he realized I was the person, he told me to make an appointment to speak to him. I was outraged.
We no loger feel comfortable with this business because of the disregard for women and children.
I feel when he saw an Asian woman and a black Man that he disregard our membership to the gym. There was no de-escalation process knowing we were upset and needed an explaination or apology for what happened. After speaking with corporate office, they denied the the security banged on the door and that we disrespected the front office. #Karens
Management has made everything about coming here unbearable
I have been a member for eight years and am about to cancel. They don't care about their members. It's gone downhill every year, and this past year has been the worst.
One week, they decided to renovate the yoga studio. When it reopened, it was painted an ugly forest green color, and all the mirrors were gone. When people complained, we were told that we were practicing yoga wrong as the mirrors "promote vanity". In reality, they just don't want you to see how ridiculous and watered down the new classes are. Seriously, who does jumping jacks during a yoga class?
There is only one hot tub jet with any pressure and only one of a lot of the popular machines as well. They haven't been 24 hours since before 2020, so expect long lines as everyone is trying to use the same things at the same time.
I got a survey in my email in July, and I filled it out. I told them that every Saturday and Sunday, there is one member who yells and screams throughout the entire class (starting at the warmup and continuing to do so throughout the entire hour). She screams things like "WOOOO", "OH GOD, YES" "YEAH, GET IT" and will loudly count down during every exercise. She does this every few minutes and is the only one making noise. It is distracting, and no matter where you stand, you can hear the noise and the echoing off the walls.
Nothing was done, and I had to email and call the club several times at the end of September to get any kind of response. In the end, they sent an email saying "We are planning on having management attend one of the classes next weekend to understand your experience and to make a plan" on September 28. No apology. That is unacceptable, and I am not convinced they even did anything.
The main reason I joined was for the group fitness classes. At first, there was a wide variety of classes and instructors. Every time I like a class, it gets cancelled, and all the good instructors have left. If you like doing the same moves every week while the instructors shout "WOOOO" every few minutes (including on the pool deck at 10AM), then this is the place for you. They also spend the entire class chatting into the mic, making obnoxious jokes and singing off key rather than instructing. None of them even bother to mention corrections on form even when people are making dangerous mistakes. I may as well be following a very annoying video. It wasn’t like this until this year (2022).
They do offer videos on the app (although the main convenience of taking the class is to have the equipment and space provided to me), but you can find better without paying the outrageous fees Lifetime charges.
So to recap, I am unable to use the yoga studio, the group fitness classes on the weekend, the majority of the classes during the week (only two are decent unless they have a sub), or the hot tub or exercise equipment without a wait time. While I’m at it, I also avoid the pool unless during a short window of time as there are always kids running around screaming. They also use the hot tub despite a huge sign in front of if saying you must be 12 or older. Lifeguards look right at this and do nothing. Even if you complain directly, you will just be ignored.
There are also swim lessons and master classes going on in the morning and evening blocking out the entire lap pool and part of the leisure pool as well. They scheduled all the free fitness classes outside during the summer and told everyone else who just wanted to swim to go outside in the blazing sun and humidity.
Every few weeks, I get an email or app notification that something is broken (hot tub, pool, steam room, sauna, hot water), and it always takes forever to get fixed. There is also at least one water fountain and one exercise machine with an out of order sign on it, and often a sink in the bathroom as well.
If you are OK with paying $120 a month and climbing (they will raise this every year without warning) to not be able to use the majority of the club while also having to dodge staff trying to upsell you additional services, then go ahead and join. They obviously don't care about the member experience, and loyalty will not be rewarded.
Sorry. No Planet Pizza Fridays Here….
In a new world of fitness centers trying to compete for $19 to $29 discount memberships, LIFETIME is that perfect escape for “respectable” family fitness enthusiasts that understand “quality costs money”. One visit to a LIFETIME location will immediately clarify any questions as to “why would I wanna pay $250+ per month when LA Fitness is only $20 and I can throw my trash on the floor, get free Planet Fitness Friday Pizza and take classes with $22/hr group fitness instructors”?
I used to love this gym
I used to love this gym, but it's really gone downhill. However, the amenities are nice, and it's close to me
Love this gym and all its extra…
Love this gym and all its extra amenities. You get what you pay for.
Unsure why so many people expect for a gym to be spot free throughout the day where all of us are working out.
Keep up the great work @lifetimefitness
Club is disgusting
Club is disgusting, the operational staff can be seen throwing tennis balls around walking with their AirPods in talking on the phone.
The membership concierges are a joke, constantly have their friends behind the desk checking people in, the friends DO NOT work for Life Time. We had to wait to be checked in tonight because the night time concierge guy was upstairs chatting up female patrons for hours. He spent my entire workout upstairs leaving the desk empty. Like what the hell am I spending $156 a month for?? If I wanted a dirty nasty club that reeked since no one cleans with towels all over the ground, dirt and grime I’d go workout at AMP fitness and spend $20 bucks. I know the GM is finally leaving as he should have been let go YEARS ago. That being said I think the whole staff needs a rework, cut these high schoolers / young kids and pay some people who will do the job. Right now you just have bodies. Do better Life Time vestavia
The Columbus Ohio location was 24…
The Columbus Ohio location was 24 hours. Then they closed at midnight and up the monthly membership fees. To me it's just a business that focuses more on making a profit than the customer. They market the name and nothing more. I recall the doors on the lockers coming off the hinges. I remember them selling peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for $8 dollars. Lifetime got sued and I joined the class action lawsuit and got $300 dollars. To those that find it hard to cancel I sent my request by first class where they have to sign for it and they closed it. I'm very careful about who I open accounts with for the simple reason you get the runaround
Lot of Cons, a few Pros. AVOID!
Pros: Nice Gym and has a cafe in front + great classes for free!
Cons:
- Always busy and cleaning is not enforced between member usage at my gym
- Pausing membership is difficult. Let's say you have a vacation next month or made last minute plans and you need to pause the membership for a month, they tell you that you should have told them A MONTH AGO about your last minute plans. HOW? Even then, You're still charged around $20 a month for and paused months..... FOR NOT USING THE GYM!
The worst Con: I left the gym for another one and cancelled a month ahead as they requested but now come back saying I owe a prorated amount of $20 for the last month. How? I followed the ridiculous rules and still got charged. They are threatening late fees and maybe collections if i dont pay $20.
Keep in mind, this is a multi-million dollar org that does not have the consumer in mind, I wanted to restart my membership down the line at their new Chicago resort-gym, but clearly they do not have any empathy or properly follow their own rules.
garden city life time is a nice gym BUT…
garden city life time is a nice gym BUT its management is BAD.GARBAGE. When you go to become a member, they treat you like a king, but when you go to cancel, they treat you as a despicable person. Despite the fact that I informed them by e-mail 1 month ago and they said that we are canceling immediately, they charged my account with the monthly fee. both 2 months in a row. I am mailing and writing to the person I received confirmation from, please return my money,His answer is" there is nothing to enlarge. "After 10 days, they only returned one of them. When I return for the second one, the same attitude continues. You cannot insult me with my money. be ashamed.
Cannot cancel membership
Its Literally impossible to cancel your membership - even during COVID. $288 has been taken out of my account each month since January. I have emailed the GM, called numerous times, filed disputes with my credit card company, NO RESPONSE. Nothing. Today, my credit card company (who always answers when I call) helped me to put a block on their charges -- but I would really like to have my contract canceled. I wonder if poor reviews will get me a call back or an email or any form of communication....? Never wanted to go that route but I am at a loss. Its sad.
No Warranty. Company does not stand behind the warranty
I have life fitness tread mill that was barely used for 3 months . It started giving speed stall error. They sent the technician twice and he changed the board which did not fix the problem. Now life fitness customer says that its not covered in warranty. I have to pay $100 for technician to come and then another 115 for each hour of labor and $615 for the console. My advice is to stay away from life fitness products.
We had try membership for two months …
We had try membership for two months last summer and then cancelled.
Recently I found that the company had been continuously charging me membership fees. Called their representative and she told me my membership was not cancelled but only put on hold so after 6 months they automatically renewed. So I had been charged for several months without notice. I asked her to cancel it but she required me to go to their facility to cancel it in person, and the cancellation does not take effective immediately so I was charged one more month.
Beware of the membership trap! It is a legal robbery.
