The Alexa app keeps appearing
My LG tv is fine except for one thing which drives me mad. It has the Alexa app built in, and every time it thinks someone says Alexa it switches to the app and asks me to install it. There seems to be no way to disable this. I have had to rename my Alexa so I can use it without the tv going to the app, but whenever the tv thinks it hears the word (even if it’s nothing like it!) the programme I’m watching is interrupted and the app is activated. I will never buy another LG tv!
Broken. Less than 2 months old
My 86 year old mum bought her 50 inch LG tv from John Lewis on 18th April 2024. Delivered the following Friday. Connected 4 days later. Four days ago the picture was dull and had a black line going through it. The upper 3 inches of the screen the picture was a different colour.
A technician was booked BUT the tv is less than 2 months old. John Lewis website even says if a repair can’t be done it’ll be replaced with a refurbished tv. What a lot of crock. I would use stronger language. It’s an absolute disgrace!!!!! Warranties are not worth anything these days. Manufactures use to have faith in their products. If something was faulty it was replaced.

NEVER, ever, ever buy an LG TV. Had mine for about 4 years now and had absolutely nothing but problems with it. Constantly loses internet connection, then won't reconnect, WiFi turns straight back off after you turn it on. Pointer on the remote works intermittently. Totally useless pieces of junk. Can't wait to buy a new TV, so I can smash this one to pieces.
Poor (non-existant) LG support
Bought LG Smart 3D tv in 2012. Fair enough, LG withdrew 3D support fairly early on due to lack of demand however they also pulled Smart tv updates so, despite having internet connected, no apps or streaming channels have ever been available. A total disgrace, I will never buy another LG product which is a shame because the hardware is actually 5 star.

Just bought an LG TV and if I could take it back tomorrow I would. Terrible terrible operating system which tries to force LG channels on you constantly, no matter how many times you try to reject it. Menu systems are massive, complex and there appears to be some type of data harvesting going on when you read the privacy agreements and terms which you are forced into consenting to, in order to use the TV. If you had chance to read the terms before buying the TV, I'd imagine most would be put off by that alone. Please do not buy one of these TVS.

COMPLETE Garbage service and bad product
COMPLETE Garbage service. My OLED TV broke after just 3 years. Called service, had me on the phone for 4+ hours "trouble shooting". By Trouble shooting they had me unplug and plug back in!
she said if the issue persists they will send a technician. They were supposed to call back, but never did. when it DID happen again I called and was told that I that I have to pay for the technician! the person they transferred me to was MILES away, not helpful at all, and said that "Its probably not worth fixing!" I tried calling back the service line and connect to my previous rep. THey were not able to do it....so I AGAIN had to repeat the issue, the model and serial numbers.
NEVER buy an LG TV. they look great in the store, but only last a year, and when they die (not if!) when, they will tell you to buy a new one!

Smits kan niks doen en wijzen heel laf naar inboedelverzekering. Niks kopen daar. Lijkt in eerste instantie goede service te leveren maar komt garantieafspraken niet na.

Just for LG TV team records I've purchased my first and the last in my life LG TV. 49 inches 4K smart TV does not come with updates any longer !! Although TV on itself is absolutely fine due to lack of update I'm unable to watch advert pop out netfilx. Purely unfair LG politics.. Buy new one! Buy new one!! Where the f@@c is your planet saving ecology. TV works with no issues just no update supported. F@@K YOU LG!! Completely not surprised with such a low trust pilot scoring.

Manufacturers such as LG produce a great product, but why cannot they make available a manual which properly explains all it's functions? We purchased from curry's online an appliance of LG washing machine on the 14jan 2024 which was delivered on the 20th jan 2024 . The washing machine is barely 7 weeks old and has done 6 washes ,, then it turned faulty with a,,, de1 code ,,, related to door lock . We reported this to LG and arranged for an engineer to resolve this issue however it took near on 5 weeks to have this visit which in itself is an utter disgrace. The engineer turned up yesterday morning only to not be able to fix this issue resulting in further waiting time of fixing due to a faulty motherboard on a so called brand new appliance. Now its another 2 weeks before it will be fixed , thats a time exceeding near on 7 weeks to have a new in warranty appliance fixed when really this should of been taken away and replaced , however was told that it couldn't be replaced as it was over 30days old which again is down right disgusting. We have waited so long to have this machine of over 500 pounds of costing ,,,, to be fixed that we had to call the school to lie to them.that our kids was unwell for the last 3 days of term before Easter because we have a whole bathroom full of dirty smelling clothes that we couldn't wash and along with school uniforms and workwear where my partner is a carer and I a bus driver which we both wear uniforms for employment and this is LG answer . This machine is only 7 weeks old give or take and we have been made to wait nearly now 2 month shall be for LG to fix this ..... our complaint will be going to the highest level as this is an utter sickening disgrace to thr consumer , your ability to shrug shoulders toward your sales when things go wrong is disgusting . We now have to wait AGAIN further time to the 16 4 2024 of this month for the engineer AGAIN , to fix this issue . Yesterday we have had no choice but to buy another washing machine from curry at a price of nearly 900 pounds which will be delivered before LG even fix this machine so that aswell is also disgusting . When this LG is fixed we shall sell it on but rest assured we shall not purchase another LG product ever again and our complaint with proof and our review of LG and the service we have received from you shall be fully displayed to the highest high for how we have been blown off in a waiting game...... Bought a £1200 Lg oled c2 tv in November 22 and started going wrong in November 23 . Now won’t switch on at all.
Customer service were basically saying tough and gave a number of repair company (at my cost). Phoned them and they don’t repair Oled TVs . Absolutely a waste of time. They must be the most unreliable Tv and company I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. AVOID BUYING ANY LG PRODUCT OR BE OUT OF POCKET AS WELL AS OUTRAGED AT THEIR RELIABILITY

Bought a 50 inch lg tv in Oct 22, it already has green pixel dots in middle of screen. I wouldn’t recommend anybody buys from this company, nor would I ever buy from them again. Poor quality product from a poor company. Avoid at all costs, unless you want to throw your money down the drain. Only interested in profits, rather than customer satisfaction.
LG TV operating system is rubbish...
I have a 28" LG Smart TV which I have never been happy with since purchase 2021. Yesterday its opening screen said an update was available, so I agreed to it - big mistake! After the update I find Amazon Prime TV is the default selection. If I want to watch anything else on my TV I have to go through hoops to select the channel I want. Obviously LG get paid for offering default channels. I do not want any of the commercial online services, so find the set almost useless and annoying now. But Hey, I am just the purchaser and owner, why don't I get control of my TV......
