I had a problem with ordering Bien Dire so David left me a message offering to help me sort it. I phoned back and spoke to Brian who did sort it and even told me about a special offer I could take advantage of. I am so incredibly grateful to both Brian and David for their assistance and I'm pleased to see that 'Bien Dire' is as good now as when I subscribed many years ago. In particular, the listening and reading is helping my daughter with both her listening and pronunciation of French - in addition to sharpening up my own! ;-) I couldn't be happier with my purchase but I'm especially pleased to have had the assistance of people and not a chatbot!!!

I contacted the Languages Direct team about a delay in receiving my copy of Bien dire. Brian established that there was a mix up at the French end over the renewal of my subscription and then sent me a digital version of the magazine. I should receive the hard copy within a few days. It’s not the first time that I have phoned the team and every time, be it David or Brian, they have been very helpful and genuinely concerned.

My subscription ordered last March was lost. Finally, thanks to Brian Treneman it has been found AND the Bien Dire magazine with CD should arrive soon .

I am a long-time subscriber to TUTTO ITALIANO and always appreciate the selection and wide variety of topics in each issue. The combination of text and spoken word (on CD or mp3) is very helpful for me to understand contemporary Italian, in all its rich vocabulary of expressions. The glossary of lesser-used terms provided with each article greatly enriches my vocabulary and comprehension skills. In addition, each issue includes a cultural section dedicated to important Italian artists and their works, often in the perfect context of current exhibitions or anniversaries.
In any case, I can recommend this audio magazine to all fans of the Italian language who not only want to improve their skills but also to learn the realities of Italy.

I have bought many products from Languages Direct over a number of years, both one-offs and subscriptions. I have found them to be a helpful and efficient company. In addition, when I have spoken to Brian or David the phone, I have found them friendly and informative.

A very useful provider of educational MFL resources! As a Sixth Form Librarian, Languages Direct is a vital source of books (including dual language) and audio magazines which are highly valued by staff and students. I have subscribed to Puntycoma for many years, and the magazines have been used regularly in Spanish lessons, as their up-to-date content is often linked to the course specification. I have recently ordered a subscription to Bien-dire and eagerly await the first issue. They are tailored to the knowledge level of the students and are a great way of encouraging wider reading in shorter sittings. Finally, their customer service team is brilliant too! I have had the pleasure of being a customer of Languages Direct since 2018. During that time Brian and David have always been extremely pleasant and helpful to deal with.

I love Brian, David and the team at Languages Direct. I've had excellent customer service throughout the many years during which I have been subscribing to magazines in Italian, German, Spanish and French. They manage subscriptions to some fantastic publications and they can't do enough to support you. If anything does go wrong e.g. a publication is delayed (lockdown etc.), they will always sort it out. They are also useful for obtaining text books, novels etc., that one may need for study. Their passion for languages shines through everything they do and reflects in the excellent customer service they provide. Thank you!

I was missing some of the emails sent with the mp3 links accompanying Tutto Italiano magazine. I called and spoke to Brian and he resolved my problem quickly by emailing the links I needed. He also explained some of the challenges with their website, so if you have a problem, calling is a good way to resolve things.

Otherwise, I've been subscribing to Tutto Italiano for years. The articles are interesting and high quality, categorized according to European language framework standards. Yes, the subscriptions are expensive, but the magazines can be re-read and they're a wonderful reminder of the political and social issues at certain points in time.

One can only speak about one's own experience. But I am surprised by some negative reviews of Languages Direct. I ordered three dual language books in French. The first arrived very promptly and my account advised that the others were ordered. I rang Languages Direct and had a very pleasant conversation with Brian. He explained that, as a small company, Languages Direct does not hold a large stock of books on their shelves, but orders as book requests are made. As he promised, despite the extra pressures of the Christmas post, I have now received all three books and I am very pleased with them and the service offered. My experience is that the negative reviews do not do Brian or his company justice. On my experience, I do not think that the use of the term 'scam' (as in some reviews) is in any way justified to describe the business. I look forward to further purchases from Languages Direct.

Never got my language CD's though I emailed several times. Hope they go bankrupt. It'll serve them right.

Ordered and paid for 9 copies of Bien Dire every two months for the year. Received all 9 for Jan/Feb edition. 5 copies for Mar/Apl and just 4 copies May/Jun. So far (12th July) none for Jul/Aug. Lots of excuses, from Languages Direct and from publishers in France like French post, Covid, back office problems. Draw your own conclusions.
