I recently ordered a subscription to Tutto Italiano. The magazine has arrived and is great - really high quality and interesting. However, the reason I’m leaving a review is because the customer support from Languages Direct was excellent when I had questions before and after ordering. Seems to be run by decent, friendly people who actually want to help you. Very refreshing. Looking forward to future magazines! Thanks!

It was so refreshing to be able to talk to a real person. Brian was charming, knowledgeable and very helpful and on the strength of his descriptions I bought a year’s subscription of the Russian magazine ‘давай’. He generously offered to send me a sample of the Italian magazine ‘Tutto Italiano’ so I could have a look before committing to a subscription.
I have been looking out for a Russian magazine for some time and am thrilled to have found this company who seem to have a passion for language learning as I do.

Bien-dire and Bien-dire initiale - great magazines - we use them as extra material for IB (French B and French ab initio) - articles and grammar relevant (culture, literature, geography etc of French-speaking countries) are all labelled A1, A2, through to C2 which is really helpful. My contact, Brian Treneman, is very helpful.

I ordered a digital language course. This came promptly. I also spoke to David at Languages Direct and he gave me some really useful guidance on how to get the most out of using the course and general suggestions on different ways to expand my learning, which I really appreciated.

Helpful, efficient and affordable

I ordered textbooks for our school district from Languages Direct and had an amazing experience. They were so friendly and actually made the entire ordering process fun! I would highly recommend Languages Direct to everyone!

I could not order online so I called to book my order. Then there was some problem with the line so the customer service suggested to call me back which I agreed but did not think he would. To my surprise he did. Brian was very patient and helpful. I told him that I needed the book urgently for my study. He was honest that it would take about 2 weeks for the book to arrive rather than wanting to sell and say the book would be with me in few days.

Helpful people who have a deep knowledge about what is needed to solve a problem. Always work hard to bring to a successful conclusion any difficulties I have experienced in the past. Great customer/client service

I've enjoyed "Punto y Coma" for around 10 years and find Brian and his team very obliging and helpful. The quality of the magazine is excellent with many interesting articles and topics. I very much look forward to reading and listening to Punto y Coma.

I ordered issues of Bien Dire Initial, and there was a problem with the items being lost in the mail. Brian was so helpful with getting this order back on track! Great customer service!

I recently ordered a set of backnumbers of Tutto Italiano. These were unfortunately "delivered " by my postman while I was away but left in my recycling box during a very rainy week.( I had rung LD just before going away and they said they were on their way.) On my return I found my neighbour had taken them in but only after a good soaking. I rang LD again to explain what had happened and they offered to replace the magazines at no further cost. Excellent customer service.

I paced an order and one of items is no longer available. Customer Services (Brian) got in touch an offered me a higher priced alternative for the same price. Excellent service. Thank you.

Placed my order, didn't hear anything at all for a week.
Got in touch to ask about it, didn't get a response to my email.
Left a voicemail, finally I got an email back saying it would be dispatched the following day.
It instead was dispatched 5 days after that email, with no tracking information available.

Total time between order and delivery: 18 days.

My main issue was the total lack of communication. I had no visibility on the status of the order and had to actively reach out more than once to get any information at all.
The reason I bought from this company was for a specific German textbook that I couldn't find anywhere apart from Amazon, and I try to avoid Amazon at all costs.
I'd certainly be very hesitant to order from Languages Direct again.

Despite the books I ordered being no longer available, the seller managed to get me the newer editions by contacting the publisher. The books were then shipped to my address in the US, and arrived in perfect condition!

Brian was very helpful by emailing and over the phone. He is a passionate linguist who advised me very well. He is not pushy to sell and sent me a free copy of a good magazine and got me a 2 month trial too.
I strongly recommend him.

Recently,when I alerted Brian and David that the 18 back issues of Punto y Coma that I had ordered in early October had not arrived, they very kindly re-sent these 18 magazines and happily they arrived on the second try. I would like to add that I have subscribed to Bien-dire, Tutto Italiano and Punto y Coma off and on over a 25-year period and these audio magazines are the very best aid that I know of to move a language student to higher levels of fluency. They are a treasure trove of grammar, culture, word study, pronunciation aids and much more. Each one is a cornucopia of delights!

I am British and have lived in a small village situated in the north east of Granada Province, Andalucia for 19 years.

PyC has been really really informative about the what is happening in Spain and Latin America. It is so up to date abou political affairs, social issues, culture, places of interest. I particularly enjoy features regarding paintings and artists. Also history articles.

My spoken Spanish is good now thanks to the discs and I can have meaningful conversations with local people.
